21 points feels low for Edwards, but Minnesota had five other players in double digits. The 24-year-old shooting guard wasn’t particularly efficient. The Timberwolves have three games in the upcoming week, starting with a matchup against the Grizzlies on Tuesday.

Randle is dealing with back spasms, which is why he appears on the Timberwolves’ injury report. Randle had a rough night in Inglewood, producing his lowest scoring output of the season. Fantasy managers were able to salvage something due to the six assists, but this was a disappointing night for the Timberwolves’ forward. Naz Reid (11 points, seven rebounds, one steal and two blocks) and Jaden McDaniels (12/7/2/3) stepped up, supplementing Anthony Edwards’ 31-point night to help the Timberwolves escape with the 94-88 victory. Edwards leads the NBA in points scored in road games, and he was at his best during the second half of Thursday’s victory. He scored 21 points after halftime, including a three-pointer over two defenders with 42.9 seconds remaining that gave the Timberwolves a four-point lead. While the shot selection can be an adventure at times, Edwards is one of the NBA’s most lethal scorers. And when he’s shooting as well as he did in the second half of Thursday’s game, Ant-Man is nearly impossible to stop.

While Embiid’s knee has been the focus of most fantasy managers’ attention this season, it was his ribs that were the problem on Thursday. The 7-footer took an inadvertent hit to his right side during the second quarter and appeared to struggle with the pain at various points for the rest of the game. However, this didn’t keep Embiid from knocking down a dagger three-pointer with 29.2 seconds remaining, giving the 76ers a 124-117 lead that would hold as the final score. The good news is that Philadelphia is off until Sunday. Hopefully, that time off benefits Embiid.

Maxey had it rolling during the first quarter of Thursday’s game, scoring 20 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field. He made three three-pointers during the period, surpassing Allen Iverson for the most made three-pointers by a 76er. Maxey would make two more, pushing his tally to 887 in his 76ers’ career, but he cooled off after a hot start. The good news for fantasy managers is that the overall stat line compensated for the damage done by his poor field-goal percentage. The 76ers end their Week 18 slate on Sunday in Boston.
