Westbrook had a rough night shooting the basketball, but he was able to provide solid fantasy value in other areas. The veteran point guard was one of two Kings to record five steals, with DeMar DeRozan being the other. Add in the rebounds and assists, and Westbrook’s final line was not as bad as it could have been. Over the last two weeks, he has been a top-50 player in eight-cat formats.

As a team, the Kings shot 6-of-31 from beyond the arc, and DeRozan was 1-of-6. However, he did record a season-high five steals, one shy of his career-high. Over the last two weeks, DeRozan has been close to a top-50 player in eight-cat formats. While he has a higher offensive ceiling with Zach LaVine and Domantas Sabonis unavailable, it doesn’t matter much if the shots aren’t falling. Sacramento plays three games in Week 10, starting with the Pistons on Tuesday.

Sabonis won’t be back until late January at the earliest, so Raynaud is worth picking up.

Schröder continues to come off the bench, but he’s scored at least 17 points in two of the three games he’s played since returning from a hip injury. Since being moved to the bench on November 14, he’s recorded four 20-point games in eight appearances. While the demotion has lowered Schröder’s fantasy ceiling considerably, he’s still worth holding onto in some deep leagues. The Kings play three games in Week 10, starting with the Pistons on Tuesday.

Gobert has not always been part of the closing lineup this season, but his rebounding production has been consistent. He’s reached double digits in that category in four straight games, a stretch that includes two double-doubles. Gobert’s overall fantasy value has been disappointing this season, but he has been close to a top-50 player in models that punt free-throw percentage. Reid being part of the closing lineup has been a common occurrence this season, raising his fantasy ceiling in the process. All that was missing from his stat line on Friday was a three-pointer, but managers will undoubtedly take the rebounds and “stocks.” Over the last two weeks, Reid has been a top-75 player in eight- and nine-cat formats, sitting just outside the top-50 in the latter.

Category league managers who have Randle rostered took a beating in the field-goal percentage category, as he missed 12 of his 15 field-goal attempts. Getting to the foul line consistently boosted his point total, and the rebounds and assists were solid. Due mainly to his shooting 42.3 percent from the field, Randle is ranked outside the top-100 in eight- and nine-cat formats over the last two weeks. He’ll look to end Week 9 on a high note when the Timberwolves host the Bucks on Sunday.

After a three-game absence, Edwards was back on the court on Friday, and he came through in crunch time. His three-pointer with 38.5 seconds remaining gave Minnesota a one-point lead, and the star guard would follow that by blocking a Shai Gilgeous-Alexander layup attempt six seconds later. The Timberwolves closed on an 8-0 run, handing the Thunder their third loss of the season. The good news for fantasy managers is that they should get one more game out of Edwards, as Minnesota hosts Milwaukee on Sunday.

Murray has been a consistent provider of blocked shots this season, averaging a career-best 1.9 per game. But he’s kicked things up a notch recently, recording 11 blocks over the last three games. While his scoring opportunities aren’t as plentiful as some would like them to be, the Kings forward has found other ways in which to provide reliable fantasy value. Westbrook finished Thursday’s defeat with his tenth double-double of the season. And to the surprise of many, he’s turned into a player who can once again be relied on in 12-team leagues. Westbrook is providing top-75 value in eight-cat formats, well ahead of his Yahoo! ADP (139). Of course, the ADP was heavily influenced by Westbrook not agreeing to a deal until after the preseason, as many fantasy drafts were already in the books. DeRozan had one of his best games of the season on Thursday, including a 3-of-4 effort from beyond the arc. The three-point shot remains a minimal part of his offensive repertoire, but the veteran wing has been proficient when he’s taken those shots. DeRozan is shooting over 40 percent from three on just over two attempts per game, with the percentage being the highest of his NBA career. DeRozan isn’t going to be a player who provides consistent value in that category, but he’s been far from a liability. Add that to his other tools, and he’s capable of threatening top-50 status before the season ends.
