With Rudy Gobert (hip) out, Beringer was going to play rotation minutes on Saturday. Then the Timberwolves lost Naz Reid to a shoulder injury during the first quarter. While the Timberwolves went small at times, there were also more minutes available to the rookie from France. Beringer finished with a nice stat line, grabbing a season-high eight boards while scoring in double figures for the second time. While his value in redraft leagues will be limited due to the players ahead of him in the rotation, Beringer is an intriguing piece for dynasty league managers.

With Saturday’s performance, Randle is up to 13 double-doubles, one shy of his tally for the entire 2024-25 season. He appears to be in a better space than he was for most of his first season in Minnesota, and the stats bear that out. McDaniels finished Saturday’s defeat with his tenth game with at least 20 points and a complete stat line. With Rudy Gobert unavailable and Naz Reid leaving after five minutes, Saturday’s game appeared to be one in which Wembanyama would have little trouble putting up a gaudy stat line. Gobert added another double-double to his season total and was able to make a big impact on the defensive end. However, it was an abysmal night for him from the free throw line. Both teams struggled in that department; Minnesota shot 20-of-35 on free throws, while Houston shot 20-of-34. The struggles seemed to be contagious, but nobody got hit harder than Gobert. Fox was one of several Spurs players who found production in limited minutes on Thursday. The veteran guard logged just 23 minutes of action, thanks to a comfortable Spurs lead, but still nearly finished with 20 points. Castle needed just 26 minutes of game action on Thursday to secure his first double-double in nearly one month. The second-year guard scored efficiently from the floor, and while he reached double figures in assists, the zero turnovers he committed were perhaps even more impressive. The Spurs dominated the Bucks on the scoreboard on Thursday, limiting Wembanyama to just 22 minutes of game action. Yet, the versatile third-year center didn’t need much time to log a nice stat line.
