Castle has been sidelined since November 16, but prior to that, he had been playing incredibly well despite De’Aaron Fox’s return to the lineup. Castle may have his minutes managed in his first game back after a multi-week absence, but he will eventually push Julian Champagnie back to the bench. Dylan Harper may also lose out on a few minutes with Castle back. Monday’s game will be the first time that Castle, Fox and Harper will be available at the same time this season.

Reid has scored at least 18 points in three consecutive games, the first time he’s done so since mid-November. His corner three-pointer with 13.5 seconds remaining broke a 104-all tie and gave the Timberwolves the lead for good. A top-75 player on the season, Reid has provided top-40 value over the past two weeks. The Timberwolves play three games during Week 8, starting with the Suns on Monday.

After struggling with turnovers and foul trouble in Thursday’s win over the Pelicans, Edwards had another difficult night on Saturday. A perfect night at the foul line boosted his points tally, but he was also responsible for five turnovers. The good news for fantasy managers is that Edwards provided solid value in rebounds, assists and “stocks,” but they’ll be hoping for better in Week 8. The Timberwolves play three games in Week 8, good news for managers competing in leagues that won’t combine Weeks 8 and 9.

Counted on mainly for his defense, McDaniels came up big on offense for the Timberwolves. The 27 points were the most he’s scored in a game since October 29, when he dropped a season-high 30 on the Lakers. He finished the comeback victory with a complete stat line and has provided seventh-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. Rostered in 46 percent of Yahoo! leagues, McDaniels may be undervalued, as he has been a top-50 player this season.

On a night when Anthony Edwards was limited to 3-of-11 shooting, Randle was one of the Timberwolves who stepped up to help erase a slow start. He’s scored at least 22 points in three of his last four outings, but the decreases in points and field-goal percentage are why Randle has only been a top-75 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. However, that isn’t a reason to panic, as Randle’s season-long value remains high. Vassell hasn’t been able to pour in the points consistently this year, but he’s still more than capable. Two days removed from torching the Pelicans for 44 points in an overtime victory, Edwards had arguably his worst game of the season. Due to foul trouble, he attempted six shots from the field, the second-fewest in a game for Ant-Man this season. He only attempted five shots in an October 26 win over the Pacers, but that’s because the Timberwolves guard exited after three minutes due to injury. Add in the eight turnovers, and Edwards had a dud on Thursday that fantasy managers will have to flush. Don’t be surprised if he bounces back on Saturday when Minnesota hosts the Clippers.

After logging 38 minutes and putting forth a dominant showing in Tuesday’s win over the Pelicans, Gobert only played 24 minutes in Thursday’s rematch. This isn’t the first time that Timberwolves head coach has decided to go small in crunch time, but that’s a concern when discussing Gobert’s fantasy value. He’s providing 11th-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats, well below his Yahoo! ADP (68). Gobert remains a viable option in most leagues, but the playing time is something to keep an eye on moving forward.

Seven Timberwolves scored in double figures on Thursday, with Reid’s total being surpassed only by Julius Randle, who scored 28. With head coach Chris Finch being willing to go small down the stretch, as he has on a few occasions this season, it was Reid who was on the floor while starting center Rudy Gobert was on the bench. Reid is already rostered in 74 percent of Yahoo! leagues, but, notably, he’s played at least 28 minutes in each of his last four appearances (33 on Thursday). Consistently hitting or exceeding that number would likely raise his fantasy ceiling.

On a night when Anthony Edwards finished with more turnovers (eight) than shot attempts (six), Randle led the way as other Timberwolves picked up the slack. The roles were reversed in Tuesday’s win over the Pelicans, so it’s only right that the veteran forward stepped up in the rematch. Based on his Yahoo! Since moving into the Spurs’ starting lineup on November 16 to fill the void left by Victor Wembanyama, Kornet has provided ninth-round value in eight-cat formats. The issue has been the lack of scoring, with the 7-foot-1 center averaging 6.6 points per game. However, Kornet has been a good player to roster for those needing rebounds and blocks. He was productive in those categories in Orlando, with his third block coming as time expired to preserve the victory. Kornet remains a specialist, but the opportunity to start makes him a player worth holding onto in deep leagues.

Since returning to action on November 26, Harper has reached double figures in four of five games, including each of the last four. With Stephon Castle (hip) out, the Spurs’ perimeter rotation is less crowded, which has benefitted the rookie. While Fox did not record any defensive stats and was responsible for seven turnovers, eight-cat managers will undoubtedly accept his stat line. The Spurs guard, whose two free throws with 1.4 seconds remaining gave his team the lead for good, recorded his second 20-point game of the season. He’ll continue to have his minutes managed for now, and when he returns to a full workload, he’ll still have De’Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle ahead of him in the rotation. It doesn’t happen often, but Barnes is certainly still capable of big offensive nights like this one. He led all scorers in this game while also setting a new season-high for points.
