Brunson injured his ankle on Wednesday against the Magic, leaving in the fourth quarter. Anunoby left Friday’s game against the Heat after only five minutes with a hamstring injury. The 28-year-old small forward is now set to miss the next two weeks, at which point he’ll be re-evaluated. Josh Hart figures to move into the starting lineup with Anunoby out and should see a bump in fantasy value. Landry Shamet is also a candidate for more minutes off the bench based on his recent play.

With Jalen Brunson out Friday against the Heat, Clarkson played the most minutes (33) and scored the most points (24) that he’d had in a game this season. The 33-year-old point guard is averaging 15.8 minutes and 9.1 points this year, which simply isn’t enough to be fantasy viable in his typical role.

Shamet had a unique opportunity in this game. With Jalen Brunson out and OG Anunoby leaving the game early, the 28-year-old shooting guard saw 37 minutes against the Heat. Shamet had to play at a certain point as he was on fire and ended up with 36 points, which was the most of any bench player this season. He’s best used in deeper formats for his scoring and three-point shooting.

Towns only had one 30-point game on the season entering play Friday, but dropped 31 points in the first half against the Heat. The 29-year-old center became the fifth player in Knicks history to score at least 30 points in the first half. Towns scored more points Friday (39) than he had in his previous two games combined (36). Hopefully, he’ll be able to build on this performance and increase his scoring average to be in line with last year’s.

MPJ provided his usual supply of buckets, but his playmaking was what was intriguing. His previous career-high for assists was six, but he matched that mark in the first quarter and surpassed it by halftime. He didn’t add any more dimes after the break, but he was still able to have an excellent night despite the loss. MPJ will continue to be a fantasy stud on a tanking team, though managers shouldn’t expect him to dish out that many assists often.

Clowney has been an effective scoring option as a starter for the Nets, and that trend continued in this game. He has started the last six games for Brooklyn and has scored in double figures in five of those. This was a subpar shooting performance from him, with half his points coming from the free throw line and the other half coming from beyond the arc. Still, his starting spot feels safe, and he has an intriguing matchup coming up on Sunday to close out the week.

Williams has been a solid reserve for Brooklyn this season, where he has been an inconsistent source of offense. He has been able to hit shots from deep frequently, but he has been more valuable to the Nets than he has been for fantasy managers. He was one of five players to score in double figures for Brooklyn, but that wasn’t enough for them to get a win. Williams should be left on the waiver wire unless he gets the opportunity to start, which has yet to happen this season.

While Towns did post his tenth double-double of the season, this was an underwhelming performance from the 7-footer. He shot 40 percent from the field and was whistled for five fouls on the night. While nights like this have not been the norm for Towns this season, his scoring average (20.2) has decreased by more than four points per game from last season’s (24.4). The good news is that KAT has been productive enough in the other major categories to remain a second-round player in nine-cat formats, sitting a few spots off his Yahoo! ADP (12).

For most of Wednesday’s game, Brunson appeared to be the only Knicks player ready for the physicality that Orlando brought to the table. Unfortunately, he hobbled off the floor late in the fourth quarter after spraining his right ankle, heading to the locker room immediately. After the defeat, Knicks head coach Mike Brown had no information on the severity of Brunson’s injury, but this is something to watch ahead of Friday’s game against the Heat. Brunson left the arena on crutches while wearing a walking boot, and Miles McBride is the player to target in this spot.

Claxton did everything in his power to keep Brooklyn in this one, but it simply wasn’t enough as he reached the 20-point plateau for the first time this season. The 26-year-old big man has been on a roll lately, delivering second-round value for fantasy managers over the past two weeks, averaging 17 points, eight rebounds, four assists and one steal over his last seven contests. The Nets will attempt to get back on track when they face the Magic on Friday night in a road matchup.

Towns recorded yet another double-double on Tuesday, moving his total to nine in 10 games. He’s had better nights shooting the basketball, but it’s the all-around stat line that makes KAT one of the most valuable frontcourt players in fantasy basketball. With Tuesday’s performance, Towns is closing in on top-10 value in eight- and nine-cat formats, which aligns with his Yahoo! ADP (12). The Knicks play twice more during Week 4, starting with the Magic on Wednesday.

Bridges continues to exceed the expectations of many fantasy managers, turning in another excellent all-around performance on Tuesday. He recorded his first 20-point game since Halloween and fourth of the season, but Bridges’ value isn’t measured solely by points. The four steals were a season-high, and he’s dished out at least five assists in seven games. By comparison, he had 29 games of at least five assists the entire 2024-25 season. Bridges is providing top-10 value in nine-cat formats, which may prompt some managers to sell high. However, given his availability — he’s yet to miss an NBA game — it may be better to hold onto Bridges.

While he did provide solid overall value on Tuesday, Anunoby had his worst perimeter shooting performance of the season. The Knicks forward/guard shot 1-of-10 from distance, but the ability to finish inside the arc boosted his point total. Brunson finished Tuesday’s victory with his second double-double in three games and fifth 30-point game of the season. He shot the ball efficiently, leading the way for a Knicks team that has scored at least 130 points in three consecutive games, the first time that’s happened in franchise history. The only negatives for Brunson were the six turnovers and New York’s inability to shut the door on the Grizzlies. Brunson didn’t have to do much on Sunday, as five other Knicks finished the 134-98 victory in double figures. The Knicks’ wings continue to shine in first-year head coach Mike Brown’s system. Anunoby has scored at least 19 points in four of his last five games, and he finished Sunday’s rout a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. Boasting a Yahoo! Mikal Bridges, who’s been just as good as Anunoby, contributed 16 points (6-of-8 FGs), one rebound, five assists and four three-pointers on Sunday. Powell may not have moved into the starting lineup in the aftermath of Cam Thomas’ hamstring injury, but the rookie has received more playing time to show what he can do. After logging 27 minutes in Friday’s loss to the Pistons, Powell played 23 on Sunday and produced his best offensive showing of the season. Powell, who entered Sunday 0-of-3 from deep, made all three of his attempts against the Knicks. He isn’t a player who should be rostered in fantasy leagues right now. Still, Powell’s name should be filed away in preparation for the “silly season,” especially with the Nets prioritizing getting a good draft pick next spring.

In the two-plus games the Nets have played since losing Cam Thomas to a hamstring injury on November 5, Porter has tallied 32, 28 and 25 points. And while the shot attempts have increased, MPJ has shot 47 percent or better in each of those outings. Whether he can continue to shoot at the clip or not, Porter is in a spot where he can put up massive individual numbers. Claxton was one of three Nets players to reach double figures in scoring on a night in which the team shot just 42.5 percent from the field. Additionally, he led Brooklyn in rebounding and finished as the only player on the team to record at least one blocked shot and one steal. While his rebounding numbers are slightly down, the seventh-year center is posting career-highs in points and assists per game. Clowney set a new season-high in points for the third consecutive game on Friday, once again using the three-point shot to do so. A huge 13-point opening quarter set Clowney up for the high-scoring performance, but his six points on 1-of-6 shooting the rest of the way stopped the young forward from seeing an even greater scoring total. He was the only one to score at least 20 points, and his high production from beyond the arc nearly carried him to hit the 30-point mark. Back in the Knicks’ starting lineup after missing Monday’s win over the Wizards, Robinson was dominant on the offensive glass.
