Sharpe was not available for Monday’s loss to the Suns, which factored into starting center Nic Claxton playing 37 minutes. While Danny Wolf and Jalen Wilson can absorb a few of the minutes that would usually go to Sharpe, his availability affects Claxton, who should already be rostered in standard leagues, the most.

Williams has reached double figures in four of his last five appearances. However, Monday’s game was his first since January 7, after he missed six games due to illness. Williams’ season-long fantasy value has not been good enough to make him a player worth rostering, and one solid effort won’t change that.

In addition to recording a season-high in assists, Mann hit double figures in points for the first time in his last eight appearances. While he did start on Monday, the veteran wing only played 26 minutes. Therein lies the issue for Mann, along with the inconsistent production. Getting the younger players minutes will only become more of a priority for the Nets moving forward, so there isn’t much to gain from rostering Mann.

Claxton is averaging career-highs in points and assists, with the latter category being more surprising. The Nets’ center, who entered Monday averaging 4.1 assists per game, has recorded four or more in six of his last seven appearances. Unfortunately, Claxton has shot 40 percent from the foul line over the past two weeks, which limits his value in roster builds where that category is not being punted.

Porter needed 23 shots to score his 23 points, with three-point shooting being the reason. A 40.5 percent shooter for the season, the Nets forward was 2-of-10 in Monday’s defeat. Porter’s 8-of-13 night from inside the arc ensured that his overall field-goal percentage didn’t take too big of a hit, and the overall stat line was a good one. As always, the concern for fantasy managers is Porter’s availability during playoff weeks, especially if he isn’t moved at or before the February 5 trade deadline.

Robinson may have been the only Knicks player to bring consistent energy during the first half of Monday’s game. He finished with 15 rebounds and a double-double, his second double-double of the season. The combination of inconsistent availability and limited scoring makes Robinson challenging to rely on in most fantasy leagues. However, nights like Monday are a reminder of what he’s capable of despite the minutes restriction.

Towns may have recorded a solid stat line, but looks can be deceiving. His penchant for committing silly fouls continued, and the aggression needed from a player of KAT’s caliber was not always there. Fantasy managers can be pleased with the complete stat line, but the Knicks need more from Towns if they’re to snap out of their current funk.

As bad as the Knicks’ January 5 loss to the Pistons was, Monday’s performance may have been worse. They couldn’t string together stops against a depleted Mavericks team and also struggled to make shots. Brunson’s points and assists were solid, but he shot the ball poorly in a game the Knicks were never really in. The Knicks will look to bounce back on Wednesday when they host the Nets.

The Nets snapped a five-game losing streak in Friday’s win over the Bulls but they didn’t fare so well during Sunday night’s rematch with leading scorer Michael Porter Jr. sitting out for load management reasons. Their issues weren’t limited to the offensive end as they allowed Chicago to shoot 52 percent from the floor and surrendered 124 points in a one-sided affair. Traore was one of the few bright spots as he did most of his damage in garbage time, knocking down 4-of-5 from beyond the arc to finish with a season-high 16 points off the bench. He’s earned some additional run but doesn’t offer enough of a role to be a viable streaming option for fantasy managers. The Nets have a four-game week coming up that features showdown against the Suns, Knicks, Celtics and Clippers.

For the first time since Halloween, Anunoby has recorded back-to-back 20-point games. He didn’t shoot the ball well against the Suns, but the rebounds, assists and steals should help compensate for the field-goal percentage. Towns recorded a double-double, but the performance felt a bit underwhelming from the Knicks’ star center. Phoenix’s physicality on defense appeared to affect KAT, who attempted half of his shots from beyond the arc. Clowney had just six points in 31 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Pelicans, but bounced back in a big way against the Bulls on Friday. Porter drove the lane and scored with five seconds left in regulation to give the Nets the lead. The victory was sealed as Chicago failed to score again in the final seconds. Porter continues to play at a high level amid trade rumors, which will likely only ramp up until the trade deadline. He’s provided second-round per game value over the last two weeks. Anunoby has scored 20 points or more in three of his last five games, but he hasn’t produced consecutive 20-point efforts since the end of October. While he did miss nine games in November/December due to injury, he has tended to take a back seat offensively more often than not. That wasn’t the case on Thursday, as Jalen Brunson’s absence led to Anunoby having his second game with at least 20 attempts this season. After managing just four rebounds in Wednesday’s loss to the Kings, Towns was far more active on the glass against the Warriors. The 20 rebounds were a season-high for the Knicks’ center, who also recorded his fourth double-double in five games. Unfortunately, Towns’ tendency to pick up silly fouls was once again an issue. While he didn’t foul out, foul trouble parked KAT on the bench at suboptimal times. And the Knicks can’t afford that, especially with Jalen Brunson (ankle) out. Back in the rotation after sitting out Monday’s loss to the Mavericks, Thomas was limited to 24 minutes against the Pelicans.
