Shamet injured his right shoulder when he ran into a Wendell Carter Jr. screen. This is the same shoulder he dislocated during the 2024-25 preseason, spending months on the shelf before joining the Knicks mid-season. With Miles McBride now questionable due to an illness, the Knicks have called on Tyler Kolek and Mohamed Diawara to play rotation minutes off the bench.

Wiggins missed Friday’s game against the Bulls with Kel’el Ware moving into the starting lineup. The 30-year-old small forward is dealing with a left hip flexor injury. Wiggins’ absence is likely more good news for fantasy managers that have Ware, who should continue to start.

Powell is listed as probable with left hip irritation. The 32-year-old shooting guard is off to a great start, providing second-round value so far this year. With Tyler Herro (ankle) and Andrew Wiggins (hip) already ruled out, this is another opportunity for Powell to have a ceiling game.

McBride popped up on the injury report as questionable with an illness mere hours before game-time against the Magic on Saturday. Typically, that doesn’t bode well for players in McBride’s situation. McBride doesn’t have a path towards much fantasy value with Jalen Brunson back from an ankle injury anyway.

Ware moved into the starting lineup with Andrew Wiggins out against the Bulls on Friday. It was the 21-year-old center’s 12th start of the year as he also picked up starts while Bam Adebayo was out for two weeks with a toe injury. Ware showed his upside once again when given the opportunity with 20 points and 14 rebounds in 28 minutes. While he figures to move back to the bench soon, Ware still has to be rostered in most leagues.

Adebayo returned from a two-week absence with a toe injury against the Warriors on Wednesday and had 20 points in 29 minutes. The Heat are without Andrew Wiggins for Friday’s game, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. Ware will fill the void, making his 12th start of the season. While the effort can wane at times, the second-year center should be rostered in most 12-team leagues.

Bridges only shot 1-of-5 from deep on Wednesday, but the overall production remained solid for the versatile wing. Having entered the season with a Yahoo! ADP in the high-70s, Bridges is providing first-round value in nine-cat formats and second-round value in eight-cat. Thus far, he has been one of the best value picks in fantasy basketball, and there’s no reason to assume that will change anytime soon. Bridges managers can consider selling high, but that may not be a good idea due to his production and availability.

After a slow start to the season due to back and finger injuries, Hart has looked more comfortable recently. He recorded his third double-double on Wednesday and has been a seventh-round player in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. While he isn’t starting for the injured OG Anunoby, the starter’s absence does raise Hart’s fantasy ceiling. While New York plays only one more game in Week 5, it will play four in Week 6. Hart is worth adding ahead of Saturday’s game against Orlando.

Towns recorded another double-double on Wednesday, salvaging what was a rather ordinary night by his standards. He was 1-of-6 from three and missed four free throws, so the percentages took a beating. He’ll look to clean up the shooting when the Knicks visit Orlando on Saturday.

Back in the Knicks’ lineup after missing two games with a sprained ankle, Brunson made up for lost time with a solid effort to help New York pick up its first road win of the season. The foul shooting was a bit off, but the overall line will undoubtedly please those who have Brunson rostered. Just as encouraging is that he played 35 minutes without any flare-ups. Miles McBride returned to the bench on Wednesday, finishing with 11 points, two assists, two blocks and three three-pointers. With Brunson available, McBride isn’t worth holding onto in most fantasy leagues.

Ware moved to the bench with Bam Adebayo returning from a toe injury. The 21-year-old center still saw 19 minutes against the Warriors. While Ware didn’t have much of an offensive game with seven points on 10 attempts, he still pulled down 16 rebounds. Ware’s fantasy ceiling is lower and he’ll see fewer minutes now that he’s coming off the bench, but he’s still worth rostering in fantasy basketball.

Hart finished one assist shy of a double-double, and that’s a category where he can provide added value while the Knicks await Jalen Brunson’s return from a sprained ankle. Despite joining his teammates in Miami late for personal reasons, McBride had one of his best games of the season on Monday. After totaling 27 points on 35.7 percent shooting in his previous four appearances, Deuce recorded his first 20-point game of the season. With Jalen Brunson (ankle) out, it would have been nice to get some assist production from McBride, but the points, rebounds, and three-pointers were good. Fontecchio has scored at least 13 points in three of his last four games, with Monday’s total being the highest in a game for him since October 30. Bridges continues to exceed the expectations of many fantasy managers, turning in another excellent all-around performance on Tuesday. He recorded his first 20-point game since Halloween and fourth of the season, but Bridges’ value isn’t measured solely by points. The four steals were a season-high, and he’s dished out at least five assists in seven games. By comparison, he had 29 games of at least five assists the entire 2024-25 season. Bridges is providing top-10 value in nine-cat formats, which may prompt some managers to sell high. However, given his availability — he’s yet to miss an NBA game — it may be better to hold onto Bridges.
