When asked specifically about when Banchero might return, Magic coach Jamahl Mosley said, “They don’t put timelines on it. Bridges only shot 1-of-5 from deep on Wednesday, but the overall production remained solid for the versatile wing. Having entered the season with a Yahoo! ADP in the high-70s, Bridges is providing first-round value in nine-cat formats and second-round value in eight-cat. Thus far, he has been one of the best value picks in fantasy basketball, and there’s no reason to assume that will change anytime soon. Bridges managers can consider selling high, but that may not be a good idea due to his production and availability.

After a slow start to the season due to back and finger injuries, Hart has looked more comfortable recently. He recorded his third double-double on Wednesday and has been a seventh-round player in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. While he isn’t starting for the injured OG Anunoby, the starter’s absence does raise Hart’s fantasy ceiling. While New York plays only one more game in Week 5, it will play four in Week 6. Hart is worth adding ahead of Saturday’s game against Orlando.

Towns recorded another double-double on Wednesday, salvaging what was a rather ordinary night by his standards. He was 1-of-6 from three and missed four free throws, so the percentages took a beating. The good news for Towns managers is that the rebounds, assists and steals were present, so all wasn’t lost from a value standpoint. He’ll look to clean up the shooting when the Knicks visit Orlando on Saturday.

Back in the Knicks’ lineup after missing two games with a sprained ankle, Brunson made up for lost time with a solid effort to help New York pick up its first road win of the season. The foul shooting was a bit off, but the overall line will undoubtedly please those who have Brunson rostered. Just as encouraging is that he played 35 minutes without any flare-ups. Miles McBride returned to the bench on Wednesday, finishing with 11 points, two assists, two blocks and three three-pointers. With Brunson available, McBride isn’t worth holding onto in most fantasy leagues.

For the third time this season, WCJ was able to record a double-double. He was the leading rebounder in this game, and the Magic outrebounded the Warriors, which contributed to the win. Carter’s minutes are up this year, which has led to him averaging more rebounds than he did in each of the last two seasons. He’ll continue to play a large role for Orlando as the starting center, which should lead to more double-doubles moving forward.

Jalen Suggs (groin) was back after a one-game absence, which pushed Anthony Black back to the bench. However, that didn’t stop Black from having a strong night. After scoring 18 points in Sunday’s loss, Black set a new season-high for scoring in this game. His scoring has been inconsistent, but he has had a handful of strong offensive performances this year. Black’s fantasy upside will remain limited as long as he is in a reserve role behind Suggs and Desmond Bane.

It was a slow start to the year for Bane, but he has been on fire recently. He’s scored at least 20 points in five of his last seven games and his at least two triples in four straight games. Hart finished one assist shy of a double-double, and that’s a category where he can provide added value while the Knicks await Jalen Brunson’s return from a sprained ankle. Hart’s averages have decreased due to his being moved to the bench, with the forward ranked outside the top-150 in nine-cat formats. However, Hart has been a top-100 player over the past two weeks. Despite joining his teammates in Miami late for personal reasons, McBride had one of his best games of the season on Monday. After totaling 27 points on 35.7 percent shooting in his previous four appearances, Deuce recorded his first 20-point game of the season. With Jalen Brunson (ankle) out, it would have been nice to get some assist production from McBride, but the points, rebounds, and three-pointers were good. Bane entered this game having scored exactly 22 points in three of his last four games, and while he wasn’t able to match that mark again, he was still able to have a solid night. What is even more encouraging is that he continues to play big minutes and get plenty of shots. His 18 shots matched his second-most attempts in a game this season, and his 40 minutes were a season-best. In his own words after the game on Friday, Banchero said that he believed he avoided a serious injury, and the MRI results would back that up. While a groin strain is not great news, it’s far better than there being any sort of tear. The Magic can afford to hold Banchero out against the lowly Nets and then he will “be evaluated daily moving forward.” That means he could return on Sunday against the Rockets or, more likely, sometime next week. Back on the bench after starting Monday’s win over Portland for the then-absent Jalen Suggs, Black stepped up with one of his best performances of the season Wednesday night. The 17 points are the most he’s scored in a game since October 30, when he dropped a season-high 20 on the Bulls. With Black being his usual annoying self on the defensive end, he helped limit the Knicks to 44.3 percent shooting.
