Towns recorded another double-double on Friday, but the impact was muted. Not only did he fail to record any defensive stats, but the 7-footer was responsible for a team-high five turnovers. The Knicks’ current run of five losses in six games has been discouraging for all involved, most especially Towns and those who have him rostered. Over the past two weeks, KAT has been a sixth-round player in nine-cat formats.

Once again, McBride got off to a good start, scoring 12 points in the first quarter of Friday’s game. Unfortunately, he didn’t offer much value offensively in the final three periods, but the final stat line was solid. Over the past two weeks, McBride has been close to a top-50 player in nine-cat formats. He’s worth rostering in deep leagues until Josh Hart returns from his high ankle sprain, and that could happen during the Knicks’ current four-game road trip.

Brunson and the Knicks have lost five of their last six, and he has just one 30-point game during this stretch. While his percentages against the Suns were good, the point guard finished with one less turnover (four) than assists (five). Over the past two weeks, he has offered fourth-round per-game value in eight-cat formats. While that doesn’t align with Brunson’s Yahoo! ADP, his drop has not been as sharp as a few other Knicks during this 1-5 stretch.

It was a bit of a mixed bag from George against the Magic. He wasn’t particularly efficient with 18 points on 21 shots and missed all seven of his three-point attempts. George was a force on the defensive end with three steals and two blocks. Embiid has progressed to the point where he’s played for three weeks in a row now without missing time due to injury. The 31-year-old center has mostly played over 30 minutes in those games, as well. That translated into good production Friday as Embiid had at least 22 points and at least nine rebounds for the third time in his last four games. He’s provided fifth-round value over the last two weeks in per game value. Embiid is in line for his fourth game this week against the Raptors Sunday.

Anunoby only needed ten official shots from the field to record his first 20-point game in six outings. In fact, since the NBA Cup, he has only recorded two 20-point games. To say that Towns wasn’t thrilled with only attempting four shots in Monday’s 31-point loss to the Pistons would be an understatement; some may even interpret his comments after Wednesday’s victory to be passive-aggressive. What matters is that KAT was more heavily involved in the offense, and while he didn’t produce a good field-goal percentage, the overall stat line was more in line with what he should do consistently. The Knicks hit the road for their next four, beginning on Friday in Phoenix.

After arguably his most inefficient game of the season in Monday’s blowout loss to the Pistons, Brunson bounced back nicely against the Clippers. In addition to shooting 75 percent from the field, the Knicks’ guard committed just two turnovers. All five starters attempted at least ten shots, and Brunson still led the way in scoring.
