Wembanyama has been available for all four official games the Spurs have played since returning from a strained calf. However, he has not played more than 21 minutes in any of those outings, and there’s a chance that Wemby won’t play on Tuesday. Luke Kornet has remained in the starting lineup, and that may not change even if Wembanyama plays. What would change if Wemby sits is that Kelly Olynyk would pick up rotation minutes off the bench.

Fox served as San Antonio’s primary offensive catalyst, delivering a robust all-around effort in a stat sheet-stuffing performance. He knocked down 5-of-7 from three-point range and shot 52.6 percent from the floor on a team-leading 19 attempts. The 28-year-old guard has been in a little bit of a rut from a scoring standpoint over the past week so it was a positive sign to see him get back on track in this one. The Spurs are back in action with a three-game week that includes a pair of matchups against the Thunder before closing the week against the Jazz.

Wemby recorded his second straight double-double, accomplishing the feat in just over 21 minutes off the bench. The 22-year-old franchise cornerstone has had a governor on his workload since returning last weekend from an extended absence due to a calf injury. However, he’s remained productive from a fantasy standpoint, averaging 19.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.5 steals and 2.5 blocks during that four-game span.

Towns had a brutal night against the Heat, not scoring his first (and only) points until the third quarter. For the second time in his NBA career and first since November 2017, KAT failed to score at least six points in a game. Fantasy managers should not be concerned about Towns long-term, but this was a rough way for him to end Week 9. The Knicks open a three-game Week 10 on Tuesday against the Timberwolves.

Anunoby has shot 41.4 percent from the field over the last two weeks, which explains why his season-long fantasy value has slipped just outside of the top-50. For the first time this season, Bridges has failed to record a steal or blocked shot in consecutive games. However, his offensive production has increased, with the Knicks wing having scored at least 20 points in three straight games for the first time since late October. Bridges remains a top-10 player in nine-cat formats and a top-20 player in eight-cat. For a player who entered the year with a Yahoo! ADP in the eighties, this has been an excellent first third of the season for Bridges.

Brunson was rolling from the start on Sunday, scoring 27 points in the first half. The Heat couldn’t come up with an answer for the Knicks guard after the break either. His 47 points were a season-high and the most he’s scored in a game at Madison Square Garden. Brunson and the Knicks now have a friendlier week from a scheduling standpoint, as they play three games in Week 10 without a back-to-back.

Wemby led San Antonio in scoring and recorded a double-double for the first time in over a month while only playing 22 minutes. He came off the bench again, but he once again dominated during his minutes on the floor. Spurs coach Mitch Johnson said before the game that Wemby wasn’t on a specific minutes restriction, but they wanted to be mindful of his minutes. He could’ve played longer if the game was closer, which is a good sign for his continued progression.

This was the second straight game that Castle put up this exact stat line. Seriously. The only difference was one fewer field goal attempt and one fewer free throw attempt in this one. Castle could’ve been more productive in both if the scores were closer, and Sunday’s game in Washington doesn’t provide much optimism for a closer outing. Castle has been effective, but he only played 24 minutes after playing 25 minutes on Thursday. They play the Thunder twice next week, so Castle’s minutes should go up for those games at least.

Much to the delight of those in attendance or watching on TV, Robinson and Philadelphia’s Andre Drummond put on a shooting clinic. The latter handled the three-point shooting, but the Knicks’ center shot 7-of-8 from the foul line. Robinson entered Friday shooting 6-of-27 (22.2 percent) from the charity stripe. Between the free throws and points, with this being Robinson’s first 20-point game since February 2020, the 7-footer had a massive night. For the second time in his last three appearances, Bridges failed to record a steal or blocked shot on Friday. The good news for those who have him rostered is that the Knicks wing was productive in the offensive categories. Also, this is the first time that Bridges has scored 20 points or more in at least two consecutive games since New York’s final three games of October. Towns finished Friday’s defeat with his 18th double-double of the season and third in his last five appearances. He’s dealt with some lower-body injuries recently, which may factor into the relative lack of double-doubles. Brunson was one of three Knicks to score at least 21 points on Friday, but his percentages may have been evidence of some fatigue. The 19-year-old point guard continues to impress after being made the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. Kolek remained with the bench unit on Thursday, but the absences of Karl-Anthony Towns and Josh Hart meant that the Knicks were going to need more from their backup point guard. He answered the call, recording career-highs in points and assists while recording a complete stat line. Kolek can’t offer much value to fantasy managers when the Knicks are at full strength, but his emergence as a reliable option could prove huge for the team later this season. Brunson and the Knicks, who were without Karl-Anthony Towns, Josh Hart and Mitchell Robinson, were sluggish to begin Thursday’s game. Given Tuesday’s NBA Cup final, that was understandable. But the Knicks received key contributions from the bench, and in the end, it was Brunson who delivered the win. His three-pointer with 4.4 seconds remaining was the difference as New York extended its win streak to six games. Hopefully, Brunson will be available for Friday’s game against the 76ers, but league schedule-makers did not do their teams any favors by scheduling back-to-backs this soon out of the NBA Cup.
