McBride injured his left ankle during Sunday’s win over the Magic, with Orlando guard Desmond Bane landing on the Knicks guard’s leg after attempting to block his layup attempt. McBride did not return after exiting, and he’ll undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury. If he misses time, the Knicks will have to rely more on Jordan Clarkson for scoring off the bench, and inconsistency has been an issue for him this season.

Robinson filled in for Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) and made the most of his opportunity. The big man led all players in rebounds and did what he normally does, providing efficient shooting with just one turnover. He corralled eight offensive boards, helping New York get some second-chance looks in the close victory. Robinson should remain a starter until KAT is cleared to return.

Brunson hit 10-of-23 shots from the floor and managed to convert only one of his seven three-point attempts. His 9-of-12 mark from the charity stripe, however, buoyed his scoring. New York’s superstar guard has now scored at least 30 points in consecutive games and reached that mark 11 times in 21 outings.

Towns is dealing with tightness in his left calf, which is why he is on the injury report. Mitchell Robinson would be the next man up if KAT can’t play, with him being most valuable as a rebounder and shot-blocker. Given his injury history, the Knicks have made a conscious effort not to play Robinson too much at this point in the season.

Markkanen made the most of an overall poor effort from the Jazz on Friday. The 28-year-old power forward only played 26 minutes in the 34-point loss to the Knicks, but still managed to put up 18 points and grab nine rebounds. The Jazz have another difficult matchup with the Thunder to close out Week 7 on Sunday.

Brunson absolutely destroyed the Jazz defense in every way in Friday night’s game. The 29-year-old point guard dropped 33 points on his way to a +37 in 31 minutes. Brunson made six three-pointers and knocked down all nine of his free throw attempts. The Knicks have another game against the Magic on Sunday to close out Week 7.

Anunoby’s return on Friday will mark his first appearance since November 4, when he was injured early in a game against the Heat. His return will also provide the Knicks with reliable shooting and defense from the forward position, as the team looks to put together back-to-back wins. He’s been productive across several categories and should remain a nice option for fantasy managers regardless of the league type.

The veteran center will return from a one-game absence to face the Knicks on Friday. He’s served as Utah’s starting center since Walker Kessler (shoulder) was lost for the season. Nurkić isn’t a high-end fantasy option but has double-double capabilities on a nightly basis. His return could send Kyle Filipowski back to the bench.

Nurkić missed Thursday’s game against the Nets with a rib injury with Kyle Filipowski replacing him in the starting lineup. Filipowski had 15 points, eight rebounds and five assists in the win over Brooklyn. If Nurkić is out again, Filipowski will likely start again and he just showed he has streaming value under these circumstances.

With Jusuf Nurkić (rib) unavailable, Filipowski made his first start since Halloween and sixth of the season on Thursday. All that was missing from the second-year center’s stat line was a blocked shot, but many fantasy managers will take what Filipowski did bring to the table. Rostered in 18 percent of Yahoo! leagues, his fantasy value in the short term hinges upon Nurkić’s availability. However, there’s likely to come a point later in the season when the Jazz prioritize getting young players like Filipowski even more minutes than they’re already playing.

While his name may not be mentioned very often in early Most Improved Player conversations, there’s no denying that George has made impressive strides after two uneven seasons in Utah. On Thursday, the guard recorded his third double-double of the season, and he only committed one turnover in 31 minutes of play. George is providing third-round value in eight-cat formats, well ahead of his Yahoo! ADP (116). Rostered in 79 percent of Yahoo! leagues, managers in shallow formats must ensure that George isn’t sitting on the waiver wire.

Markkanen has scored at least 30 points in nine games this season, including Thursday’s win over the Nets. Entering the season with a Yahoo! ADP of 56, the Jazz forward has been close to a top-25 player in eight-cat formats thus far. Of course, the possibility of a late-season shutdown is why Markkanen’s ADP took a hit. As a result, those who were willing to roll the dice were rewarded handsomely during the season’s first quarter. Markkanen should face more resistance on Friday when the Jazz visit the Knicks.

Due to a right rib contusion, starting center Jusuf Nurkić will not play on Thursday. His spot in the lineup will be filled by Filipowski, who is worth streaming. He should be most valuable later in the season, especially if the Jazz aren’t in contention for a postseason spot as many expect.

Thursday’s game is the first of two in as many nights for the Jazz, who visit the Knicks on Friday. No Nurkić means that Utah will have to rely more on Kyle Filipowski, possibly as a starter. If he receives the starting nod, Filipowski should be slotted into lineups in deeper leagues.

This is the first time that Anunoby has been considered questionable for a game since straining his hamstring during a November 14 loss to the Magic. So, even if he does not play on Friday, a return to action may not be far away. Bridges has now recorded at least two steals in 12 straight games, with that category being one of the reasons why he has been an elite fantasy option this season. The Knicks guard/forward recorded another complete stat line against the Hornets, and that has been the routine for him. While he didn’t shoot the ball as well as he did in Tuesday’s loss to the Celtics, Hart flirted with a triple-double against the Hornets. He finished two rebounds and two assists shy, but the complete stat line will please those who have Hart rostered in category leagues. After a slow start to the season, Hart is shooting 49.7 percent from the field, and he’s shot 14-of-29 from three over his last five games. At a minimum, he’s properly managing the finger injury that he aggravated just before the start of training camp.

Coming off his worst performance of the season, Brunson rebounded nicely on Wednesday. Given his play since arriving in New York and Charlotte’s porous defense, that was unsurprising. Friday’s matchup with the Jazz is another opportunity for Brunson to put up a gaudy stat line; while Utah has been competitive on most nights, they’re ranked 29th in points allowed per game and 27th in defensive rating.

In addition to recording his fourth 30-point game of the season, KAT matched his season-high with 18 rebounds. While he matched his season-high with 11 assists, Brunson had his worst scoring game of the season on Tuesday. The 15 points were a season low, and the Knicks’ point guard had not shot below 30 percent from the field since the season-opening win over Cleveland. Boston did a good job of making Brunson uncomfortable offensively, and his off night was too much to overcome in the end. He’ll look to rebound when the Knicks host the Hornets on Wednesday.

Hart has scored at least 19 points in four straight games, and the overall value has made him one of the best options in fantasy basketball over this period. Over the past week, the Knicks forward has been a top-10 player in eight- and nine-cat formats, cracking the top-5 in the former. After a slow start to the season, in part due to finger and back injuries, Hart has locked into a comfortable role and flourished. While the Knicks’ four-game win streak ended on Tuesday, Towns had another encouraging offensive performance. After scoring 28 points on 8-of-21 shooting in wins over the Hornets and Bucks, KAT has totaled 51 points on 20-of-35 shooting over the last two. He’s providing third-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats, performing slightly better in the former. After scoring five points on 2-of-4 from the field in the first half, Bridges caught fire and nearly helped the Knicks erase a 21-point second-half deficit. He hit seven three-pointers and scored 30 points, finishing with a season-high 35. In fact, this was Bridges’ first game with at least 20 points since November 17 against the Heat. The good news for those who have him rostered is that Bridges’ fantasy value isn’t solely dependent on points. He continues to provide top-10 value in nine-cat formats but should not be considered a “sell-high” option.

Nurkić flirted with a double-double for the second straight game against the Rockets. On the second night of a back-to-back, he was productive inside the arc as a scorer and set a new season-high in points before fouling out of the contest. After finishing with zero points on Sunday against the Rockets, George responded on the second night of a back-to-back by nearly putting 30 points on those same Rockets a day later. He shot well from the floor overall and also got back on track as a facilitator after a quiet previous game in that area. Six turnovers were arguably the only standout weakness of George’s on Monday’s outing. Otherwise, he put together a nice bounce-back game.

On the second night of a back-to-back, Markannen led the Jazz in points in the rematch with the Rockets. His scoring production was particularly notable on a night when the Jazz had seven players score in double figures, including all five starters. He was also effective on the glass, but ultimately came up two boards shy of a double-double. A quarter of the way into the season, Markkanen is averaging more points per game than he has in any other season — he’s been consistent on that end of the floor so far, which should remain the case moving forward.

George missed all six of his shot attempts and only ended up playing 19 minutes. He entered the game as questionable with an illness but played through it, making it easy to attribute his worst performance of the season to the fact that he was under the weather. Bailey was the leading scorer for Utah and was one of six players to score in double figures for them. That may seem like it was a balanced attack, but nearly a third of the team’s points came in the fourth quarter, after the game was out of reach. Filipowski logged 31 minutes off the bench, which can be attributed to the lopsided score. That was a new season high for minutes, so while he was semi-productive during his time on the floor, he won’t see this many minutes often. Brunson has consistently tormented the Bucks, averaging 36 points per game since joining the Knicks.
