Blowouts tend to give reserve players more opportunities to produce. McCain tied with Aaron Wiggins for the team lead in shot attempts, and he knocked down five three-pointers. While his fantasy upside for the rest of the season takes a hit when the Thunder rotation is whole, landing McCain for the price that they did was a heist. And don’t be surprised if he has a big night when Oklahoma City visits Washington on Saturday.

With Luguentz Dort and Isaiah Hartenstein sidelined, Wiggins and Cason Wallace moved into the starting lineup on Wednesday. Wiggins had a good night shooting the basketball, making three of his seven attempts from beyond the arc while recording a stat line that only lacked a blocked shot. While Wallace wasn’t as productive offensively, his final line included three steals and two blocks. The fantasy upsides of Wiggins and Wallace depend on the availability of the Thunder starters; both are worthwhile streamers when the team is shorthanded, albeit for different reasons.

At halftime, the Thunder led Wednesday’s game by a score of 60-24. At that point, most fantasy managers knew that they wouldn’t see much of Gilgeous-Alexander in the second half. He played 26 minutes, long enough to extend his streak of games with at least 20 points to 130. A lighter workload due to the game being a blowout could also be an issue for SGA in Oklahoma City’s final game of Week 21, as they visit the Wizards on Saturday.

After ending his Week 20 with a four-point effort on 2-of-11 shooting in a March 14 win over the Wizards, Pritchard has recorded consecutive 19-point stat lines. He’s made eight of 16 three-point attempts in Boston’s first two games of Week 21 while also recording 13 assists. Had Pritchard not begun the season as a starter, he would be a candidate for Sixth Man of the Year, which he won last season. With Jayson Tatum back in the fold, the Celtics have the look of a team capable of playing deep into the spring.

Tatum is getting more comfortable by the game, with Wednesday’s effort being his fifth straight with at least 20 points. The Celtics’ forward also recorded his third double-double since returning to the lineup, the second with at least 20 points scored. Boston has two more games in Week 21 without a back-to-back, which should bode well for Tatum’s availability.

Brown and the Celtics grabbed control of Wednesday’s game early and never looked back, going on to win by a 120-99 final score. He recorded his 31st 30-point game of the season and did so while recording excellent percentages from the field and the foul line. The lone issue, at least for managers in nine-cat leagues, was the five turnovers. The Celtics play two more games in Week 21, starting with the Grizzlies on Friday.

After two straight games finishing with nine rebounds, Holmgren finally got over the hump to record a double-double and have his highest rebounding total in a game this month. Blocks have been one of his strongest categories this year, but he has just two total blocks over his last four games. Keep an eye on the injury report ahead of Wednesday’s game against the Nets. On the second night of a back-to-back, he could certainly get the night off.

After barely keeping his 20-point streak alive on Sunday, SGA left nothing to chance in this one to help OKC win its ninth straight game. This was his first 40-point game since January and came at the right time for fantasy managers in the playoffs. It’s worth noting that SGA hasn’t played in a back-to-back since early January, and they take on the tanking Nets on Wednesday. He has only missed one opportunity to play both legs of a back-to-back since then, but managers should still pay close attention to Wednesday’s injury report.

Strong three-point shooting was the highlight of White’s productive offensive performance. He sank a handful, which accounted for all but six of his total points on a night in which he finished as one of three Celtics with at least 20 points. The versatile combo guard also contributed well as a facilitator along the way to help Boston earn a second consecutive win. White’s production hasn’t altered much since Jayson Tatum’s return to the lineup, which should put fantasy managers at ease during the fantasy playoffs.

Tatum reached the 20-point mark for the fourth consecutive game on Monday as he tied a season-high in minutes played. In the win, he also finished with his highest shooting percentage since making his season debut earlier in March. The subtle improvements could be seen as encouraging for those fantasy managers who have him rostered. While Tatum understandably isn’t yet performing at his former All-NBA level this early in his return from the Achilles injury, he should be a productive option in fantasy playoffs.

Brown went for more than 30 points for the second time in the past three games, using an 18-point fourth-quarter explosion to help lead Boston to victory. The one-time Finals MVP shot the ball efficiently throughout the night and got lots of scoring production from the free-throw line along the way. Brown also tied for team highs in rebounds, assists, steals, and blocked shots on the evening to land one of his better all-around performances of March. He’ll look to stay hot on Wednesday against the Warriors.

On a day when Shai Gilgeous-Alexander missed 14 of his first 17 shot attempts, the Oklahoma City bench stepped up. Joe led three reserves in double figures with 20 points, and he was joined by Alex Caruso (17/2/1/3 with one three-pointer) and Jared McCain (15 points, one steal and five three-pointers) in lighting it up. Joe’s fantasy ceiling is limited, even with Jalen Williams out, but he’ll have his opportunities to contribute. And Sunday’s game was a reminder of what he’s capable of when the threes are falling.

While he failed to score in his 21 minutes on the floor, Hartenstein still provided value in multiple categories. There may have been some concern regarding Gilgeous-Alexander’s streak of 127 consecutive games with at least 20 points, as he started Sunday’s game shooting 3-of-17 from the field. With reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander struggling for most of Sunday’s game, it was up to the Thunder’s “supporting cast” to pick up the slack. Holmgren led the way with 21 points as part of a complete stat line. Oklahoma City’s three-game Week 21 begins with a back-to-back, making it possible that fantasy managers can only count on Holmgren for two games. While he missed all three of his two-point attempts, White was a respectable 3-of-8 from beyond the arc. The Celtics’ guard’s percentages from two and from three have taken significant dips in comparison to his 2024-25 numbers, but he remains a highly valuable option in category leagues. Saturday’s stat line showed why, as White recorded a full line in his 35 minutes on the floor. The Celtics play four games in Week 21, starting with the Suns on Monday.

Queta was on a roll during the first half of Saturday’s game, ripping off 22 points and six rebounds. While he didn’t do a whole lot after halftime, fantasy managers will be fine with the final numbers. The 24 points were the most in a game for Queta since March 1, when he dropped 27 on the 76ers. With no Nikola Vučević in the fold, the Celtics need to rely on Queta a bit more, which raises his fantasy ceiling if he can be consistently productive.

Back in the lineup after sitting out Thursday’s loss to the Spurs, Tatum surpassed 30 minutes for the first time in his four appearances this season. Even better for fantasy managers, he recorded a new season-high in rebounds and matched his high in assists. The Celtics’ four-game Week 21 does not include a back-to-back, but that doesn’t rule out the possibility of an injury management night for Tatum at some point. Scheierman played his role well on Thursday as a three-point specialist. In the start, he drained at least three three-pointers for the eighth time during his sophomore campaign and tallied his fourth double-digit scoring outing of March. He was also one of Boston’s better rebounders and facilitators in the loss. While he may not have a ton of value across fantasy leagues, he’s proven to be a consistent part of the Celtics’ nightly rotation.

Pritchard struggled with his shooting on Thursday, especially outside the arc. The subpar shooting efficiency led to a relatively unspectacular scoring performance in the loss, on a night when the Celtics desperately needed offensive production. In his first appearance after being ejected from Tuesday’s game against the Spurs, Brown logged perhaps his best stat line of March. In the loss, he hit the 30-point mark for the first time since February 22, which was also the last time before Thursday that he got up at least 25 shot attempts. Brown’s aggressiveness was needed while playing without Jayson Tatum against a very tough Thunder defense. He did commit six turnovers and shot somewhat inefficiently, but was otherwise productive.

Mitchell was solid in his 30 minutes of game action, finishing with fewer points than only Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on the Thunder en route to the two-point win. Efficient shooting was the key driver of Mitchell’s success on Thursday, but his ability to facilitate and make plays for others was another noteworthy takeaway. Whether he’s started or come off the bench, Mitchell has become a reliable wing option for the Thunder in his second NBA season. He’ll have a chance to find solid production again on Sunday against the Timberwolves.

Holmgren had a relatively pedestrian game on Thursday compared to some of his recent performances. The versatile center finished below his average in points, missed a double-double by one rebound, and didn’t record any blocked shots for a second straight game. He still concluded as the team’s top rebounder on the night and one of its best scorers, but fantasy managers will certainly want more from Holmgren with the fantasy playoffs on the horizon.

Gilgeous-Alexander recorded a memorable outing in the Thunder’s close win over the Celtics on Thursday. A notable midrange jumper during the third quarter gave the reigning MVP his 127th consecutive 20-point game, passing Wilt Chamberlain for the longest streak in NBA history. He proceeded to score efficiently, come up big down the stretch, and log at least 30 points for the 38th time this season.
