Holmgren’s two games against the Spurs this week were a struggle. In the defeats, he totaled 17 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one three-pointer. While the Thunder certainly have the depth to compensate for the occasional off night, the matchup with San Antonio has proven to be one in which the champs need all hands on deck (the Spurs are 3-0 against OKC this season). Holmgren will look to bounce back on Sunday against the 76ers, but that’s the first game of a back-to-back. Hopefully, he can play both contests.

Hartenstein finished Thursday’s defeat with his eighth double-double of the season and first since November 15. The lingering concern is his availability, with Hartenstein still working his way back from a strained calf. Before Thursday, he had not appeared in consecutive games since November 23-26. For that reason, fantasy managers should anticipate Hartenstein sitting out one of Oklahoma City’s next two games, Sunday against Philadelphia or Monday against Atlanta.

Williams struggled with his shot on Thursday, as he continues to work his way back from right wrist surgery. There are still some range-of-motion issues for the Thunder forward, but the percentages haven’t suffered too much. Thursday was the exception, as Williams shot the ball poorly from the field and the foul line. There should not be any concern on the part of fantasy managers, as J-Dub is providing top-50 value in nine-cat formats.

After dropping 33 points in Tuesday’s blowout loss to the Spurs, Gilgeous-Alexander was kept in check by San Antonio in Thursday’s rematch. Lopez was moved into the starting lineup on Tuesday due to the absence of Ivica Zubac, who will miss at least three weeks with a sprained ankle. Unfortunately, the veteran center did not bring much production to the table. With Kawhi Leonard and James Harden on the floor, Lopez has a low ceiling, especially since he isn’t the lob threat that Zubac is. Fantasy managers are better off rolling the dice on John Collins in Zubac’s absence. Collins finished Tuesday’s win with 13 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals, two blocks and three three-pointers in 29 minutes.

Harden and Kawhi Leonard combined to score 70 of the Clippers’ 128 points, leading the team to a second consecutive win over a top Western Conference opponent. Over the past two weeks, Harden has been a third-round player in eight-cat formats, with field-goal percentage being the culprit. He’s shot just 38.6 percent from the field during this stretch, nearly five percentage points lower than his number for the season (43.5). After watching him shoot 6-of-20 from the field in Saturday’s win over the Lakers, Harden managers needed a night like Tuesday.

Given how poorly the Clippers have played for most of this season, the general feeling going into Tuesday’s game was that they could be on the wrong end of a blowout. The exact opposite happened, as Leonard played at an elite level offensively. He recorded his first 40-point game of the season and was efficient, shooting well over 50 percent from the field. Leonard didn’t record any defensive stats, but that has not been the norm for him. The Clippers hit the road for their next game, Friday night in Portland.

Mitchell departed Monday’s game during the fourth quarter due to an unspecified issue, but the proverbial hay was in the barn by then. While the absences of Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein did not affect the second-year guard much since they play different positions, he was one of the Thunder players who picked up the slack. Mitchell has been a top-100 player in eight-cat formats over the last two weeks, but his value has taken a hit since Jalen Williams’ return on November 28. Mitchell remains a deep-league option with the ability to offer standard-league value on nights when the Thunder are shorthanded.

The Thunder have won their last 11 regular-season meetings with the Grizzlies, and Gilgeous-Alexander once again led the way on Monday. With Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein out due to injury, SGA carried a little more of the offensive workload, finishing with his 22nd game of 30 points or more this season. With Ivica Zubac leaving Saturday’s game during the first half, there was a greater need for production from Collins. He answered the call, recording his first double-double of the season. The only problem that fantasy managers may have with Leonard in the aftermath of Saturday’s performance was the field-goal percentage. However, when a player drops an overall line this robust, it’s easy to write off one “bad” category. The 30-point game was Leonard’s sixth of the season and first since December 1. In the aftermath of his sprained right MCL, Jones was given a recovery timeline that suggested he would not be able to return until sometime in January. After shining in Thursday’s rout of the Clippers, Holmgren was comparatively quiet on Friday.
