Caruso is out after being forced to exit Monday’s win over the Rockets with a sprained left ankle. Fellow reserve Kenrich Williams played 17 minutes off the bench and may be in line for a similar workload on Wednesday. That’s unlikely enough to make him a player worth rostering in most leagues unless Isaiah Joe (back, questionable) also sits.

On a night when Shai Gilgeous-Alexander went off for 51 points, Williams had another good night for the Thunder. J-Dub has scored 20 points or more in five straight games and has provided top-10 value in nine-cat formats since the All-Star break. And with the Thunder playing three more games during Week 18, Williams managers needing to make a push to get into the playoffs are in a good spot.

Back in the Thunder lineup after sitting out Sunday’s win over the Spurs, Holmgren didn’t provide much value as a scorer. However, he did hit double figures in rebounds and contributed big in the defensive categories. Holmgren has been a top-25 player since the All-Star break, exceeding his season-long value. The only concern for fantasy managers is the availability. Between the recent injuries and Oklahoma City being well ahead of the pack in the Western Conference, there may be a few more off nights for Holmgren before the end of the season.

Playing against a severely shorthanded Rockets squad, Gilgeous-Alexander put on a show for the home folks on Monday. Not only did he notch his fourth 50-point game of the season, but he did so on 60 percent shooting from the field and a perfect night at the foul line. Add in the other statistical categories, and Gilgeous-Alexander was dominant in all aspects. Since the All-Star break, only Tyrese Haliburton has been better than SGA in eight- and nine-cat formats.

Holmgren sat out the first night of the Thunder’s back-to-back, which isn’t surprising. It’s one thing for a shooter like DiVincenzo to provide excellent value in the three-point category. Not only did he hit eight triples on Sunday, but the “Big Ragu” was credited with a career-high six steals. Dealing with a case of turf toe that sidelined him for one month, DiVincenzo has been used in a reserve role in his first three games back. Mike Conley (3/1/1/2 with one three-pointer) has remained in the starting lineup, but he only played 20 minutes on Sunday. DiVincenzo doesn’t need to start to provide reliable fantasy value, especially when he plays 27 minutes (as was the case on Sunday).

After serving a one-game suspension for picking up his 16th technical foul of the season, Edwards kept his emotions in check Sunday night. And that was terrible news for the Suns, as the Timberwolves guard went off. Edwards produced an excellent overall stat line, committing just one turnover. Since the All-Star break, he has provided top-25 value in eight- and nine-cat formats. And Edwards should be aided moving forward by the recent returns of Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo, who combined to score 44 against the Suns.

Sunday’s game was Randle’s first since January 30, so the minutes tally (34) was surprising. However, he looked sharp on the court, shooting over 50 percent from the field and grabbing six rebounds. Jaylen Clark and Terrence Shannon Jr. combined to play 18 minutes on Sunday, with Randle and Anthony Edwards back in the lineup. The Thunder didn’t have Chet Holmgren (ankle) on Sunday, but others stepped up, and the team ripped off 146 points in San Antonio. Wallace rose to the challenge, with the 19 points being the most he’s scored in a game this season. Add in the rebounds, assists and three-pointers, and this was an excellent night to have Wallace rostered. Another Thunder player who has added fantasy value when Holmgren is out is Aaron Wiggins, who tallied 17 points, three rebounds, two assists, one steal and five three-pointers in 24 minutes off the bench. Wiggins is the superior fantasy option, but Wallace is also worth a look in deep leagues.

Thirty-point games have been the norm for Gilgeous-Alexander, who scored 30 or more in 37 of the 59 games he’s played this season. Consistently excellent throughout the season, SGA has been a top-5 player in eight- and nine-cat formats since the All-Star break. The rookie has played well recently, and everything came together for him on Thursday.
