At long last, Williams is ready to make his season debut after undergoing wrist surgery not too long after the Thunder won the NBA title in June. Given the time missed, there will likely be a minutes restriction, even though the Thunder have not released an official number for the versatile forward. And with Oklahoma City boasting a league-best 18-1 record, there’s no need for the team to force too much upon Williams in his first game back.

While Drew Eubanks (4/10/2/1 in 14 minutes) has filled the void in the starting lineup left by the injured Domantas Sabonis, Achiuwa has been more valuable to fantasy managers over the past week. Rostered in three percent of Yahoo! leagues, he has been five rounds more valuable than Eubanks in nine-cat formats. Neither Achiuwa nor Eubanks should be considered a must-roster player, but the former should be the preferred option for managers in dire need of a post player.

Wednesday’s game was a strange one for Westbrook, who is usually more reliable in the assist category. He shot 3-of-5 from beyond the arc and did a good job on the glass, but the veteran point guard recorded five turnovers. A high-turnover night is unsurprising, but one would expect more from Westbrook in the assist category to counter that. He’ll look to get back on track when the Kings visit the Jazz on Friday.

Murray was one of two Kings to lead the way in scoring on Wednesday, with Russell Westbrook also tallying 19 points. Since making his first start on November 22, the fourth-year forward has scored at least 19 in all three games. For fantasy managers, it has been good to see Murray not take a back seat to Zach LaVine or DeMar DeRozan so far. What would be most impactful on his value for the rest of the season is the Kings moving a veteran or two, clearing the decks for Murray.

Hartenstein was one of four Thunder players to score in double figures on Wednesday. As usual, his scoring was mostly done inside the arc, but with some inefficient free-throw shooting adding a bit more to his scoring total. He added a couple of stocks on the defensive end and wasn’t as productive on the glass as he usually is. He’ll have an opportunity to log a more productive line on Friday against the Suns.

Holmgren had mostly a quiet game until a massive three-pointer with 37.7 seconds remaining put him into double figures and gave OKC a comfortable four-point lead down the stretch. The former Gonzaga Bulldog was impactful in other areas as well — he led the Thunder in rebounding, was the only member of the team to record multiple threes, and chipped in on the defensive end with a pair of stocks. Despite his lower scoring total on Wednesday, Holmgren entered Wednesday’s contest averaging a career-high in points. He continues to shine in his third NBA season.

Gilgeous-Alexander put on another incredible display of shot-making in front of the national TV audience on Wednesday. The reigning league MVP missed just seven shots on the night en route to his second game of the season with at least 40 points. He answered with big shots and key free throws throughout the game, but also ended up leading the Thunder in scoring. OKC now owns an 18-1 record, and Gilgeous-Alexander is having another MVP-caliber season.

Gilgeous-Alexander has remained the head of the snake for the defending champions, and he continues to put forth MVP-like numbers. Due to an illness, Gilgeous-Alexander is at risk of missing a game for the first time this season. His absence would affect the entire Thunder rotation, given his productivity and usage. The Timberwolves squandered a 10-point lead in the final three minutes, allowing DeRozan to sink a pair of free throws with 34 seconds remaining to force overtime. The 36-year-old veteran — who passed Alex English for 24th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list in the process — went a perfect 15-for-15 at the line and cracked the 30-point threshold for the first time this season. Murray notched his first double-double of the season as Sacramento overcame a 10-point deficit in the final three minutes to ultimately emerge with an overtime victory. The 25-year-old former lottery pick was extremely aggressive in this one, taking a season-high 19 shots while stepping up from a rebounding standpoint with center Domantas Sabonis sidelined with left knee soreness. He’s delivered third-round fantasy production in the three games he’s played, averaging 18.7 points and 7.7 rebounds since making his season debut back on November 20.

Monk scored 16 of his 22 points off the bench in the second half, knocking down seven of 12 shots after the break to help Sacramento mount a late comeback effort. The veteran sharpshooter did a little bit of everything in this one, adding two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in a performance that felt like a full Thanksgiving plate. He cooled off slightly in the third before calling it a night at the start of the fourth quarter with Oklahoma City up by 28 at the time. The 27-year-old generational talent is averaging an absurd 32.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.8 blocks through 18 games. Mitchell’s emergence as a reliable scoring and playmaking option off the bench for a loaded Thunder roster is one of the more pleasant surprises of the early stages of the year. The 23-year-old is averaging just a shade over 16 points and nearly 28 minutes through 18 games. Having begun the season as Sacramento’s starting point guard, Schröder lost his job on November 14, and the demotion has negatively impacted his fantasy value. However, the veteran guard is capable of having the occasional big night despite coming off the bench. The potential, which was realized on Saturday, is why Schröder is still rostered in 36 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Playing in Denver for the first time since leaving the Nuggets in free agency this summer, Westbrook was outstanding on Saturday. The veteran point guard recorded an efficient double-double, and he’s providing top-100 value in eight-cat formats. Westbrook’s play led to him replacing Dennis Schröder as the Kings’ starting point guard earlier this season, and the depth chart won’t change anytime soon, given his solid play. The Kings play four games in Week 6, starting with the Timberwolves on Monday.

Murray was inserted into the starting lineup on Saturday after coming off the bench in his season debut on Thursday. The good news for fantasy managers was that he was pretty involved in the Kings’ offense, something that had been a concern last season, when he was playing alongside Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan for the first time. After shooting 7-of-17 from the field and tallying 16 points in his last two appearances, LaVine got back on track Thursday night. He’s scored at least 25 points in eight of his 14 appearances this season, but lackluster production in assists, steals and blocked shots has limited the veteran wing’s fantasy ceiling. Murray made his first appearance of the season on Thursday, but he was not inserted into the starting lineup. Precious Achiuwa remained in the starting power forward role, playing 24 minutes and finishing with two points and five rebounds. There were times when he and Murray shared the court, but Murray logging 32 minutes in his debut is a positive sign. Where he fits in Doug Christie’s rotation bears watching. While Murray has been a starter throughout his career, coming off the bench on this particular team may open things up for him offensively. This was the likely outcome a couple of days ago, but now Murray is officially set to make his season debut after offseason thumb surgery. It’s unlikely that he will play a starter’s workload right out of the gate, but he’s not a high usage player to begin with, so he can help the Kings and fantasy managers without 30+ minutes.
