Dëmin, who has started Brooklyn’s last seven games, is dealing with a sore neck and jawline. However, the probable tag suggests that the rookie will ultimately be cleared to play. If Dëmin can’t play, Terance Mann will take on more of the playmaking responsibilities. Even with an expanded role, Mann hasn’t been the most dependable fantasy option this season.

Here’s an oversimplification: Porter was able to get whatever shot he wanted from anywhere on the floor against an undersized Celtics squad. He eclipsed 20 points for the eighth straight game and posted his fifth 30-point outing of the season, drilling four of six from deep and shooting nearly 62 percent overall as Boston had no answers for his blend of size, speed and athleticism. The 27-year-old scoring machine has delivered third-round fantasy production so far, averaging 24.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 0.8 steals through 14 games.

Claxton took full advantage of Boston’s lackluster frontcourt as he seemed to be able to get to the rim whenever he wanted against relatively inexperienced big men Neemias Queta and Luka Garza. The double-digit assists were the real surprise here as it was the first time he was in double figures in that department since last March. He’s averaging 14.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.3 blocks through 15 games this season.

It doesn’t totally show up on the stat sheet, but Clowney was a real X-factor in this contest as he relentlessly attacked the rim early on, finishing the first half with 14 points while also blocking three shots on the defensive end of the floor. He cooled off a bit in the second half but led the Nets in minutes over the final two quarters. He would’ve had an even bigger night offensively had he not gone ice-cold from three-point range, hitting just three of 11 attempts from distance.

Bane didn’t have a great night shooting the basketball, going 2-for-9 from inside the arc. However, fantasy managers who have the Magic guard rostered received solid value in the rebound and assist categories. Over the past two weeks, Bane has been ranked just outside the top-50 in eight-cat formats, so progress is being made after a slow start to his first season in Orlando. For the third time this season, WCJ was able to record a double-double. He was the leading rebounder in this game, and the Magic outrebounded the Warriors, which contributed to the win. After shooting 27.3 percent from three in his lone season at BYU, Dëmin was not expected by many to be as productive a perimeter shooter as he’s been. The rookie shot 4-of-7 from deep on Tuesday and is averaging 1.8 three-pointers per game at a respectable 36 percent clip. In his own words after the game on Friday, Banchero said that he believed he avoided a serious injury, and the MRI results would back that up. While a groin strain is not great news, it’s far better than there being any sort of tear. The Magic can afford to hold Banchero out against the lowly Nets and then he will “be evaluated daily moving forward.” That means he could return on Sunday against the Rockets or, more likely, sometime next week. Back on the bench after starting Monday’s win over Portland for the then-absent Jalen Suggs, Black stepped up with one of his best performances of the season Wednesday night. The 17 points are the most he’s scored in a game since October 30, when he dropped a season-high 20 on the Bulls.
