Wednesday’s game was the first for Lively since January 14, as he had been sidelined with a stress fracture in his right ankle. While he was immediately inserted into the starting lineup, the second-year center was limited to 16 minutes. With the Mavericks ending Week 22 with a Friday/Saturday back-to-back against the Clippers, fantasy managers should anticipate Lively sitting out one of those games. While capable of providing value in the rebound and blocked shot categories, the minutes restriction limits Lively’s ceiling for what is championship week in many fantasy leagues.

Marshall has made quite a few starts this year with all the injuries the Mavericks have dealt with. He got another start Wednesday with PJ Washington (illness) out. The 27-year-old small forward wasn’t nearly as effective in this game as prior starts as he scored just six points on six field goal attempts in 35 minutes, though Marshall made up for it by dishing out eight assists. He’ll continue to have value in deeper formats when inserted into the starting lineup.

Dinwiddie’s excellent run as the Mavericks’ starting point guard continued Wednesday. The 31-year-old had another double-double with 14 points and 10 assists. While the Mavericks’ trade for Davis was widely panned and mocked, the 32-year-old power forward turned in a vintage performance Wednesday against the Hawks. He was a machine down low with 34 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks. He did all that damage in just 30 minutes as he’s coming off an adductor injury. Davis was his dominant self for the first time since returning from the injury. Ideally, we’d see this version of Davis more regularly over the Mavs’ final few games of the regular season, though they do have a back-to-back coming up, so AD will likely get one night off.

Initially probable for Wednesday’s game, Martin played 21 minutes off the bench in Monday’s loss to the Nets. Caldwell-Pope is on a heater from deep, having shot 10-of-12 from beyond the arc in his last two games. Tuesday’s three-point tally of seven was a season-high, surpassing the six he made in a November 27 win over the Bulls. The issue is that Caldwell-Pope does not provide much value outside of points and three-pointers; he’s a liability in fantasy leagues when those shots aren’t falling. Over the past two weeks, KCP has provided 10th-round value in nine-cat formats, four rounds better than his season-long production.

On Tuesday, Wagner and Paolo Banchero became the first duo in Magic history to score 20 points or more in nine straight games. Averaging 23.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game, Franz has provided sixth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. The issue for fantasy managers has been the lackluster defensive production, with Wagner averaging 0.5 steals and 0.1 blocked shots. However, this isn’t a massive deal for category league managers who receive solid output from other players in those categories.

Banchero combined with teammate Franz Wagner to make history on Tuesday, as they became the first duo in Magic history to score 20 points or more in nine straight games. Also, this is the second-longest such streak for a duo aged 23 years or younger in NBA history. Remove the turnovers, and Banchero has been a top-50 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. He’s shooting nearly 49 percent from the field during this stretch, which has helped compensate for the 3.8 turnovers per game.

Sidelined for nine of Orlando’s last 10 games with a toe injury, Anthony returned to the rotation on Tuesday. He was used in a reserve role, as the team is taking a cautious approach after an aggravation of the initial toe injury sidelined Anthony for seven of those nine games. He filled the stat sheet, but those who have him rostered took a hit in the field goal percentage category. Anthony’s return meant fewer minutes for Cory Joseph (6/2/1 with two three-pointers) and Anthony Black (4/2/3/3), who played 18 and 20 minutes, respectively. The Magic play their final game of Week 22 in Washington on Thursday, so managers who have any of these guards rostered will want to free up that roster spot for the weekend.

Dinwiddie has had an excellent stretch as the starting point guard for Dallas. He has started at point guard for their last seven games and has had at least seven assists in six of those. He has also scored in double figures in 10 of their last 11 games. Monday’s performance wasn’t his best as a scorer, but he still ranks inside the top-50 in nine-cat leagues over the past two weeks and will look to keep that going over their final three games of the week, starting against the Hawks on Wednesday.

AD was expected to be on a 25-28 minutes restriction for this game, and he ended up playing a little more than 28 minutes. Head coach Jason Kidd tried to get every minute out of AD that he could, but it wasn’t enough for Dallas to get a home win over the tanking Nets. In his four games since returning from a six-week absence, Davis has averaged 14.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and one block while shooting 37.7 percent from the floor and 55.6 percent from the free throw line in 28.5 minutes per game.

Gafford should see a similar workload against the Hawks on Wednesday and then will likely only play one leg of their back-to-back on Friday and Saturday.
