Banchero’s production on Wednesday wasn’t as spectacular as Sunday’s in the series opener. However, the former first-overall pick pieced things together throughout his 34 minutes, ultimately leading to a solid stat line. He shot inefficiently from the field and struggled greatly at the charity stripe, but still finished as one of Orlando’s top scorers in the game. Banchero also contributed on the glass and as a passer before the final horn sounded. The Magic will go home for Game 3, where Banchero could be poised for a bounce-back performance.

Wagner was one of many Pistons players to struggle on the offensive end; he shot poorly from the field, failed to make a three-pointer, and had more turnovers than he had assists. Decent production at the free-throw line ultimately helped him sneak into double figures as a scorer, but otherwise, the majority of his success came on defense in this game. Wagner led all players in steals on the evening in his 32 minutes, but he will look for a more balanced effort in Game 3.

Suggs led the Magic in scoring on a night that he accounted for over one-quarter of the team’s made field goals. He shot inefficiently, especially from beyond the arc, but made contributions as a rebounder and facilitator to help round out his final stat line. Suggs and the rest of the Magic will need to shoot much better in Game 3 than the 33 percent they tallied on Wednesday. Perhaps the familiarity of the home rims could help them get back into rhythm.

Harris put together another solid outing against the Magic, responding to his 17-point Game 1 with a double-double on Wednesday. The veteran forward led all players in rebounds and was the only Pistons player to record multiple blocks and steals. He’s yet to find his rhythm from beyond the arc in this series, but he’ll have an opportunity to do so in Game 3.

Duren had more of an impact in Game 2 than in Game 1, even though his counting stats didn’t change much. He scored a few more points on Wednesday and was a bit more involved on offense, both as a passer and a finisher. Yet, his numbers through two games haven’t come close to his regular-season averages. He’s struggling particularly with putting the ball in the basket, but will have a chance to find his rhythm in Game 3.

Cunningham followed an impressive 39-point outing with another stellar showing in Wednesday’s win. The former first-overall pick continued to fill it up efficiently as a scorer, but his impact as a facilitator more closely resembled his dominant ways during the regular season than in Game 1. He was the only player in Wednesday’s contest to reach double figures in assists, which, combined with his team-high in points, led to a double-double. Cunningham’s seven turnovers in this game are notable. Yet, the positives outweighed the negatives in the decisive bounce-back victory.

Isaac’s continued absence does not affect the Magic rotation, as he has not appeared in a game since March 12. At this point, it’s fair to wonder if he’ll play at all this series, given the time missed.

Relative to his regular-season production, Duren had an underwhelming performance in Sunday’s opener. He was hardly involved across his 33 minutes, taking just four total shots. The result was a single-digit scoring performance from the first-time NBA All-Star and a team worst minus-21. If the Pistons want to avoid falling two games behind in the series on Wednesday, they’ll almost certainly need more on both ends of the floor from Duren.

Still, he was productive enough to score above his regular-season average and was the only non-Cade Cunningham Piston to reach double figures in points. As one of the team’s veterans, Harris could be relied on for more offensive output in Wednesday’s Game 2.

Carter was one of Orlando’s most efficient players in Sunday’s win. In 37 minutes, he tied a team-high in assists, doing so without committing a turnover. Additionally, the veteran center missed just one of his nine shot attempts, was one of the team’s leading rebounders, and chipped in defensively with two stocks. Carter’s number wasn’t often called, but he seemed to always make a play when the situation called for one. He’ll have a chance to land strong production again in Wednesday’s Game 2.

Wagner was fairly quiet offensively through the first three quarters of Sunday’s contest, having totaled just eight points on 2-of-8 shooting. Yet, he served as Orlando’s closer. In the fourth quarter alone, the fifth-year forward consistently attacked the rim and ultimately converted all five of his field-goal attempts, scoring 11 of the Magic’s 31 points in the frame. Wagner ended as the team’s second-leading scorer on the evening and was one of five Magic players to log at least four assists. He was effective and timely in the victory, which is what Orlando hopes he can duplicate in Game 2.

Banchero rode the hot hand into Sunday’s performance and delivered another fine offensive outing in Game 1. As a result of efficient shooting, the former first-overall pick led Orlando in scoring and was the only one to reach the 20-point mark, even without tallying any points in the fourth quarter. Still, his scoring contributions through three periods helped the Magic build and mostly maintain a lead from start to finish. He also chipped in as a passer and came within one rebound of a double-double. Banchero played a strong game on Sunday and has Orlando in position to potentially steal two games on the road to open the series.

With Duren back in the lineup after missing the regular-season finale, Detroit will have its regular starting five for Game 1 on Sunday. The Pistons posted their first 60-win season in 20 years en route to securing the Eastern Conference’s No. 1 seed. They will face a Magic team that is just a couple of days removed from knocking off the Charlotte Hornets in the Play-In Tournament.

Carter was nearly perfect from the floor in his 27 minutes on Friday, with two of his six makes coming from beyond the arc. The veteran center also made contributions on the glass, especially on the offensive side, where half of his boards came from. He wasn’t overly productive in the win, but he was a positive contributor. Carter will have a chance to have another on Sunday in Game 1 against the Pistons

A blowout victory for the Magic limited Wagner to only 25 minutes of game action on Friday. Still, he made good use of his time on the floor by posting one of the more balanced performances on the team. Nearly half of the fifth-year forward’s points came from the charity stripe, with the rest falling inside the arc, before eventually finishing as Orlando’s second-leading scorer. He also tied team highs in assists and rebounds, highlighting his well-roundedness for the evening. Wagner and the Magic will have just a short amount of time to get ready for Sunday’s opening-round Game 1 against the Pistons.

Banchero led all Magic players in scoring during his 33 minutes of game action on Friday, which was complemented by solid playmaking for his teammates, and good activity on the defensive end. The efficient double-digit scoring performance was a nice response to a difficult outing against the 76ers on Wednesday. But with the Play-In Tournament in the books, Banchero starts with a clean slate against the first-seeded Pistons of the Eastern Conference. Game 1 will take place on Sunday.
