Zubac may not be a popular name in most mainstream conversations regarding the Most Improved Player award, but he deserves to be mentioned. The Clippers’ center is having a career year, and he was elite on Saturday. Zubac did not miss a shot from the field or the foul line, and the double-double was his 55th of the season. By comparison, he had 50 double-doubles in the prior two seasons combined. From a fantasy standpoint, Zubac has offered fourth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past month.

Saturday’s game went as well as the Clippers could have hoped regarding Leonard. For the first time this season, he played both games of a back-to-back. Also, Leonard was effective while on the court and only needed to play for 25 minutes. Kawhi has been on fire over the past month, providing top-10 value in eight- and nine-cat formats. The Clippers’ four-game Week 23 begins with a Tuesday/Wednesday back-to-back, and one of those games is against a team headed to the lottery in San Antonio. Although Saturday’s experience was positive, it isn’t guaranteed Leonard will be available for both ends of the Clippers’ final back-to-back of the season.

The decreased scoring output has been a factor, with Powell averaging 17.0 points per game over the past two weeks. By comparison, he’s averaging 22.2 points for the season. He’ll look to have a more productive night on Saturday when the Clippers host the Mavericks again.

While Leonard has not reached the point where he’ll be allowed to play both games of back-to-backs, the door has not been completely closed on his playing Saturday against the Mavericks. Following Friday’s victory, the Clippers’ star said, “We’ll see” when asked if he’ll be available. For fantasy managers, it would certainly be helpful if Leonard were to play, especially after logging 24 minutes on Friday.

The 23-year-old small forward, along with teammate Paolo Banchero, have become one of the best scoring duos in the league. The 22-year-old power forward bounced back with three made three-pointers, which was something he hadn’t done in his previous six games entering play Thursday. Banchero still turned the ball over four times, giving him at least four turnovers in four of his last five games. While the turnovers have dragged down his value in nine-category leagues, he remains a top-50 option in eight-category leagues over the last two weeks.

Banchero combined with teammate Franz Wagner to make history on Tuesday, as they became the first duo in Magic history to score 20 points or more in nine straight games. Also, this is the second-longest such streak for a duo aged 23 years or younger in NBA history. Remove the turnovers, and Banchero has been a top-50 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. He’s shooting nearly 49 percent from the field during this stretch, which has helped compensate for the 3.8 turnovers per game.

Sidelined for nine of Orlando’s last 10 games with a toe injury, Anthony returned to the rotation on Tuesday. He was used in a reserve role, as the team is taking a cautious approach after an aggravation of the initial toe injury sidelined Anthony for seven of those nine games. He filled the stat sheet, but those who have him rostered took a hit in the field goal percentage category. Anthony’s return meant fewer minutes for Cory Joseph (6/2/1 with two three-pointers) and Anthony Black (4/2/3/3), who played 18 and 20 minutes, respectively. The Magic play their final game of Week 22 in Washington on Thursday, so managers who have any of these guards rostered will want to free up that roster spot for the weekend.

The 25-year-old point guard wasn’t credited with any steals in his last four games entering play Monday, in fact the seven steals were as many as Harden had in his last eight games before Monday. It’s a nice bonus for fantasy managers to an otherwise pedestrian stat line. Harden will drag down your field-goal shooting percentage in fantasy leagues, but the assists and charity stripe help often make up for it. The steals are just an added bonus.

Zubac closed out the month with his second game in March with at least 20 rebounds. He even played 38 minutes on the second night of a back-to-back to get there. Zubac is returning third-round value over the last two weeks in nine-category formats. The Clippers have three more games this week with a matchup against the Pelicans set for Wednesday.

Since returning from an extended layoff, Powell had averaged just 11.8 points and 1.7 triples across his last six games. He bounced back in a big way on Sunday, shooting 13-of-24 from the floor and 5-of-11 from deep to lead all scorers and post his highest point total since February 13. Powell took on some additional offensive responsibilities with Kawhi Leonard sidelined, and this was a nice way for him to get back on track. He’ll look to build on this performance when the Clippers face the Magic on Monday.

However, the nature of Friday’s game had much to do with the low tally against the Nets, as the Clippers took a 36-point lead into the fourth quarter. Harden did not play during the final frame, getting a head start on his postgame recovery ahead of Sunday’s game in Cleveland. Given the opposition, fantasy managers should expect Harden to log starters’ minutes after only playing 25 in Brooklyn.
