Murphy and teammate Zion Williamson combined for 34 first-half points and 66 on the night overall as the Wizards seemed to have zero answers defensively. The 25-year-old scoring forward erupted for 15 first-half points on 5-of-12 shooting, including 4-of-9 from three-point range, and finished the night 7-of-16 from long range. He’s delivered first-round fantasy value this season, averaging 21.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.2 blocks through 36 games. The polarizing 25-year-old force and teammate Trey Murphy combined for a whopping 66 points in an eventual one-sided victory. His fantasy managers can breathe easy after Friday’s effort as Black managed to tally 21 points in the loss. The 21-year-old point guard averaged 18.9 points per game in December so it’s a good sign to see him get back to that level of scoring.

Bane had a bit of an uncharacteristic game Friday against the 76ers. The 27-year-old shooting guard failed to make a three-pointer, something he hadn’t done in his last six games. Bane led the Magic in field goal attempts and points with Franz Wagner out, but it wasn’t enough to even keep the Magic in the game late in the fourth quarter. He’s provided eighth-round per game value this season. The Magic close out the week against the Pelicans on Sunday.

Still, he’s healthy and available, and he has been playing in back-to-backs, which is great to see from him.

He wasn’t efficient as a scorer, but he was able to pour in the points, mostly from beyond the arc, and contribute defensively. This came after he was held scoreless against the Lakers on Tuesday. Poole is one of the most volatile players in the league, but if he is able to start again in his return to Washington on Friday, he may be able to have another big scoring night.

Carter Jr. was one of only two Orlando players to finish with 20 or more points on the evening. None of the big man’s scoring production came from the three-point line versus Brooklyn, which marks the second consecutive game that he’s gone without a three-pointer. He also wasn’t involved much as a rebounder or passer, and his two stocks weren’t anything fantasy managers should be excited about. Still, his scoring was important to his team’s success tonight. He’ll have an opportunity to put up another solid effort on Friday against the 76ers.

It was a rough night for the first-year Magic guard, who tallied as many turnovers as he did made field goals on Wednesday. His minimal contributions as a passer and rebounder were also notable on a night in which he tallied 35 minutes in an overtime game. Bane has had his share of ups and downs throughout the season, but remains more than capable of putting up big numbers on the offensive end of the floor. He’ll have a chance to bounce back on Friday against the 76ers to put up strong fantasy production.

Banchero bounced back on Wednesday from a forgettable Tuesday against the Wizards to help the Magic edge out the Nets in overtime. He notched a team-high in points and was one of several Magic players to secure double-digit rebounds. The numbers equated to the former first-overall pick’s second double-double of the month and 11th of the season. Banchero did struggle with his ball security, committing nine turnovers and ultimately costing himself some fantasy basketball production. Still, his lone three-pointer, which beat the buzzer in overtime, more than made up for the miscues. His final line was exceptional, considering he was benched in a 14-point effort on Tuesday.

He’s offered top-100 value in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks, and the emergence of Derik Queen may have lowered Zion’s ceiling due to a decrease in on-ball playmaking opportunities.

Queen finished Tuesday’s defeat two assists shy of his second triple-double, pushing his double-double tally up to seven. While the production has tailed off somewhat after a hot start to December, the rookie center is still offering top-100 per-game value in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. Rostered in 53 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Queen is someone who 10-team league managers should look to add now if he’s on the waiver wire. His usage should be even higher after the trade deadline, especially if the Pelicans can’t make some headway in the race for a play-in spot.

A fantasy league would rarely have three-point percentage as a scoring category. Therefore, Murphy only making six of his 17 attempts isn’t an issue. He shot 8-of-9 from inside the arc and matched that at the foul line, finishing with a career-high 42 points. Murphy was at his best during the third quarter, as he scored 20. As long as he’s healthy, Murphy will remain an elite fantasy wing, regardless of league format.

Due to their effort, Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley stuck with the reserves for the entire fourth quarter, which likely factored into their running out of steam late. But it was earned. In Richardson’s case, the rookie recorded his first 20-point game. And as the Magic await the returns of Jalen Suggs and Franz Wagner, he’ll continue to have opportunities to contribute off the bench.
