This was Embiid’s fifth 30-point game of the season, but it wasn’t enough for the 76ers to get the win. His lack of contributions in categories other than scoring have limited his impact in category leagues; his 6.9 rebounds per game are the fewest of his career. Still, he’s played 22 games now this season, which surpassed his total of 19 games last year. As long as he’s out on the floor for Philadelphia, he’ll continue to pour in the points.

Maxey didn’t do as much as a scorer, but he was able to contribute value across the board. He matched his career high for steals, which he has set two other times this season already. This game came after he was held to 14 points against the Cavs on Wednesday, so while it was a rough two-game series as a scorer, he was able to contribute in a bunch of other categories in this game. He’ll look to get back on track against the Pacers on Monday.

Barlow fell hard on his back during the third quarter of Wednesday’s loss to the Cavaliers and did not return. If he’s unable to play on Friday, the 76ers could look to Jabari Walker to fill the void since Cleveland starts Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. That said, Walker is not a must-stream player in that role, especially since the 76ers could also choose to start Adem Bona alongside Joel Embiid.

After missing 16 games with a high ankle sprain, Wagner was back on the court Thursday afternoon in his hometown of Berlin. While the stat line did not include any steals or blocks, the rebounds and three-pointers were solid. Also encouraging for fantasy managers was his playing 27 minutes in his first game back. Wagner’s return meant fewer minutes for Noah Penda (nine points, five rebounds, two assists, one block and one three-pointer in 18 minutes), who is more valuable to dynasty leagues than redrafts.

While Franz Wagner was back in the lineup after a 16-game absence, his return did not negatively affect Black’s opportunities. The third-year guard was excellent during the second half, helping Orlando bounce back from a slow start. Black shot 4-of-6 from the field in the third quarter, and in the fourth, provided one of the dunks of the season. His fantasy value should be fine until Jalen Suggs returns from injury, and it’s going to take a lot to decrease Black’s opportunities, given how well he’s played.

Banchero has recorded three double-doubles in his last four games, and the four steals accumulated were a nice touch for fantasy managers who have him rostered. While he hasn’t been the elite fantasy option he’s been in seasons past, George has continued to provide reliable category-league value. Over the past two weeks, he has been a top-75 player in eight-cat formats, aligning with his season-long production. That has exceeded George’s ADP (83). Again, he may not be the elite version that he’s been in the past, but George has been solid.

Give the Cavaliers credit for their work on the defensive end of the floor, especially in terms of defending Maxey. He never seemed comfortable offensively, resulting in one of his poorer performances of the season. Nights like Wednesday have not been the norm for Maxey, who should be an All-Star this season. So, fantasy managers should bank on his putting forth a better performance in Friday’s rematch.

Embiid shot the ball well and recorded a complete stat line, but the numbers were modest outside of the points and percentages. Also, the 76ers’ center was responsible for six of the team’s 12 turnovers. After getting up 19 shots in Sunday’s loss to the Raptors, Edgecombe only attempted seven in Monday’s rematch. A significant reason for the decrease was the returns of Joel Embiid and Paul George, who were both unavailable on Sunday. After being a late scratch for Sunday’s loss to the Raptors, George played 29 minutes on Monday. Maxey heated up in the second quarter, finishing the opening half with a team-high 14 points, despite going just 4-of-10 from the floor. He took over the game in the second half, scoring 24 of his 38 points in the final two quarters and overtime, including a trio of key buckets in the final minute. The 25-year-old scoring machine drained a clutch step back three-pointer with 20 seconds left to give Philadelphia a four-point advantage which they were unable to hang onto. He finished just shy of reaching the 40-point plateau for the fifth time this season and has scored at least 27 points in 10 of his last 12 games since December 19. Carter Jr. was one of only two Orlando players to finish with 20 or more points on the evening. None of the big man’s scoring production came from the three-point line versus Brooklyn, which marks the second consecutive game that he’s gone without a three-pointer. He also wasn’t involved much as a rebounder or passer, and his two stocks weren’t anything fantasy managers should be excited about. Still, his scoring was important to his team’s success tonight.
