Embiid is good to go after initially being listed as probable for Thursday’s game. He played 26 minutes in Tuesday’s win over the Pacers, and fantasy managers should expect to see Embiid take on a similar workload. Andre Drummond will likely fall out of the rotation entirely, with Adem Bona serving as the backup.

Johnson suffered a hip injury in the first quarter of Tuesday’s game against the Wizards and will not play in the rematch. It makes sense since the Hawks should be able to beat the Wizards without Johnson. His absence should mean extra minutes and usage for Jonathan Kuminga, who looked great in his Hawks debut on Tuesday.

Embiid returned to the 76ers’ lineup on Tuesday, logging 26 minutes in a win over the Pacers. He should take on a similar workload against the Heat, and the former MVP doesn’t need to play heavy minutes to provide elite fantasy value.

Risacher is dealing with a right hip contusion. If he can’t go after logging 28 minutes in Tuesday’s win over the Wizards, the Hawks would likely lean on Mouhamed Gueye a bit more, along with Jonathan Kuminga. Of the two, Kuminga is the one whom fantasy managers should seek on the waiver wire.

Johnson suffered a left hip flexor injury during Tuesday’s win over the Wizards, exiting after playing six minutes. Jonathan Kuminga picked up additional minutes in his first appearance as a Hawk and was outstanding, scoring 27 points. Zaccharie Risacher and Mouhamed Gueye would also pick up minutes if Johnson sits, but Kuminga offers the highest fantasy upside.

Okongwu struggled mightily with his shot, but he was still able to record his second straight double-double. He fell one assist shy of matching his season high for assists as well. This was only the eighth time this season that Okongwu has taken at least 17 shots, and when he has, he hasn’t shot this poorly. He’ll look to be better in the rematch on Thursday.

This wasn’t a great outing for Gueye, but he was able to haul in double digit rebounds in just 18 minutes. However, there is upside for him to do more moving forward. Jalen Johnson (hip) exited early, which allowed Gueye to start the second half. If Johnson ends up missing time, Gueye could occupy the starting role temporarily. However, Jonathan Kuminga ended up playing more minutes and would be the better option for fantasy managers.

It has been over a month since Kuminga last suited up, and when he did, it was for the Warriors. In his first game with Atlanta, it appears Golden State gave up on him too quickly. Sure, it’s only one game, but he was incredible in his debut. Plus, Jalen Johnson (hip) exited in the first quarter. Kuminga didn’t start the second half, but he should take on extended minutes if Johnson ends up remaining sidelined more than just the end of this game.

Three 76ers scored at least 23 points in Tuesday’s victory, with Edgecombe joining Tyrese Maxey (32) and Joel Embiid (27). The rookie guard has scored at least 20 points in three of his last four outings, continuing to provide solid production as the 76ers continue without the suspended Paul George. Back in the 76ers’ lineup for the first time since February 7, Embiid started and played 26 minutes on Tuesday. A combination of an unspecified minutes limit and Philadelphia winning by a 135-114 final score helped with the management of the 7-footer’s workload. Embiid was effective while on the floor, even if his mobility remains an issue. Philadelphia’s final two games of Week 8 are on Thursday and Sunday; hopefully, that ensures fantasy managers of two more Embiid games.
