Sunday’s game against the Jazz will be Lowry’s 11th on the shelf in a row, increasing to 12 on Monday. However, 76ers coach Nick Nurse said his veteran point guard is feeling better, so the team will look to begin the ramp-up process then. With the 76ers trending toward prioritizing doing what it can to hold onto its first-round pick (top-6 protected), Lowry’s minutes may be limited even if he’s cleared to return.

Curry and Co. won a nail-biter against the visiting Pistons, and though Curry led the team in scoring, the win was a true team effort. Curry shot just 8-of-22 from the field and 4-of-15 from beyond the arc, but guys like Jimmy Butler (26), Gui Santos (15 points), Moses Moody (12) and Draymond Green (12) chipped in as well. Curry has now scored at least 30 points in eight of his last 15 games after doing so only seven times across his first 40.

On a team with Steph Curry, there’s only one guy you want taking a game-winning three-pointer - Draymond Green. Down 108-107 with 35 seconds left, Green nailed a wide-open trey to give the Warriors a lead they would not relinquish. He stuffed the stat sheet with a near triple-double and useful defensive stats as he usually does. but the timely three-pointer was a bit of a surprise.

Bilateral back soreness forced Podziemski to exit Thursday’s win over the Nets during the second quarter. Gui Santos replaced him in the lineup to begin the third quarter of that game and could be in line for a start. However, Podziemski missing time would have a more significant impact on Buddy Hield’s fantasy value, even if he continues to come off the bench.

Podz exited after playing just one minute on Thursday due to lower back soreness. However, it may just be a one-game issue. Podziemski could certainly be back to play Detroit on Saturday, but if he isn’t, Buddy Hield and Gary Payton II would be in line for more minutes. Gui Santos started the second half in place of Podz, and while that is a possibility against the Pistons, Kerr could opt to start someone else. It certainly wouldn’t be the first lineup change that Kerr has made this season. Even if Santos starts, his fantasy upside is limited.

Since his first few games with Golden State, Butler hadn’t been as aggressive as a scorer in recent games. However, he had some success on Thursday and had his second 25-point game since being traded to the Warriors, with the first coming in his debut for them almost a month ago. It’s unlikely that this continues to be the norm for him, though it wouldn’t be surprising if he started to pick things up with the playoffs approaching. Golden State will close out the week against Detroit on Saturday.

GP2 was sidelined against New York on Tuesday due to a nasal fracture, but he was back in the lineup against Brooklyn. Generally, he hasn’t been much of a contributor in fantasy basketball, but he was able to chip in some value off the bench in this game. Brandin Podziemski exited after playing just one minute due to lower back soreness, and while Payton II didn’t start the second half in his place, he was important in helping Golden State get the win. Managers shouldn’t expect this level of production consistently, but it was a nice bonus on a night with only six games.

What an impressive trip to the East it was for Curry. He led Golden State to a 4-1 record on the trip, and they’ve now won eight of their last nine games. During their last five games, Curry has averaged 34.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 7.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 6.4 threes per game. He started the trip off with a season-high 56 points in Orlando and closed it out with 40 points in Brooklyn. Curry has taken his play up a notch over the past month, and the only real fantasy limitation has been lopsided scores. He’ll look to stay hot with Detroit coming to town on Saturday to close out the week.

Oubre Jr. and Lonnie Walker IV (17 points, five triples) were the lone bright spots for the Sixers in an otherwise putrid performance. Philly’s other four starters combined for just 33 points, and Philly dropped its 41st game in blowout fashion. With the Sixers already looking ahead to next season, we’re unlikely to see much of Tyrese Maxey or Paul George for the rest of the campaign, which means Oubre Jr. could see big minutes and usage down the stretch. The games might not mean anything for the Sixers in real life, but Oubre Jr. could post meaningful numbers for fantasy managers during “silly season.”
PHI • • #

He also added a rebound and three assists. Has Walker IV officially entered the “silly season” conversation? The Sixers are 20 games under .500, Joel Embiid is done for the season, and Tyrese Maxey and Paul George are shutdown candidates. Philadelphia will need to lean on guys like Walker IV to fill in the missing spots in the lineup, so don’t rule out that he could make some noise as a points and threes specialist for the final stretch of the season. A resurgent end of season run for Walker IV would certainly be an interesting topic for Paul George’s podcast.

Andre Drummond was limited to 19 minutes because of foul trouble, which forced the 76ers to rely on Yabusele even more. After an off-night as a shooter on Monday, Grimes got back to providing buckets on Tuesday. His performance on Monday was disappointing after he dropped a career-high 44 points on Saturday, but Tuesday’s performance was the third time that he has scored at least 30 points in a game this season, all of which have come since being traded to the 76ers. Trading away Grimes wasn’t the worst move Nico Harrison has made, but it is looking like Philadelphia got a steal by acquiring him. Grimes should be one of their few bright spots down the stretch of this season.

George’s performance on Tuesday was concerning enough, but Nick Nurse’s quote after the game should put managers on high alert. When asked about George’s groin injury, which kept him on the sidelines against Portland on Monday, Nurse said “we’re certainly concerned.” It wouldn’t be surprising if George was held out against Boston on Thursday, and his status for the rest of the season should be in question. Philadelphia’s pick is top-six protected, meaning they need to lose as much as possible to ensure they get their first-round pick. George should be considered a shutdown candidate at this point.

The Warriors are now 9-1 with Jimmy Butler on the court, as his presence on the offensive end gives the team an element it sorely needs. While the stat line wasn’t robust, he has provided top 100 value in eight- and nine-cat formats as a Warrior. Moving to 12-1 as a pro (13-1 if you count the game he played during his final season at Davidson), the Warriors superstar led the way offensively with 28 points and nine assists, throwing in seven boards and two steals for good measure. During the first quarter, Curry appeared to tweak the right ankle he injured on Monday, stepping on the foot of a courtside fan.
