George is back on the injury report as the 76ers look to manage his return from offseason knee surgery. Maxey had one of his least productive offensive performances of the season on Friday. He scored fewer the 20 points for the first time, due to inefficient shooting and relatively low volume, but also wasn’t as productive as a passer against the Bucks. The versatile combo guard made up for his lack of offensive output on the defensive end, however. Philadelphia ultimately didn’t need Maxey to be in top form, as the team cruised to a 15-point road win on the second night of a back-to-back. Maxey, one of the NBA’s top scorers, likely won’t have another performance like Friday’s for a little while. He should resume his offensive domination on Sunday against the Lakers.

Grimes had the hot hand on Friday and used it to finish as the Sixers’ leading scorer for the game. He was especially dialed in from deep, accounting for more than a third of Philadelphia’s 17 made three-pointers on the evening, while also making contributions on the glass and finishing as one of the Sixers’ most productive passers. Arguably, his only blemish was the five turnovers he committed, which were nearly half of Philly’s total. Still, Grimes was productive off the bench and continues to find ways to contribute.

George notched one of his better performances of the season on Friday. In his seventh appearance, the veteran wing reached the 20-point mark for the second time, while also tying a season-high in assists. Most importantly, George logged 30 minutes for the first time all season, which could serve as an encouraging sign in terms of where he’s currently at from a health standpoint. His final line against the Bucks isn’t elite by any means, but it should allow fantasy managers to at least be optimistic about George’s potential this season.

LaRavia returned to the starting lineup with LeBron James (sciatica) sidelined for the second night of the Lakers’ back-to-back. LaRavia has been effective in previous starts this season, but he wasn’t able to contribute much during his 21 minutes in this game. He was much better in this one and ended up scoring in double figures for the first time this season. Lakers coach JJ Redick said before the game that Luka should be back soon, and Sunday’s game against the 76ers is a possibility. With both LeBron James (sciatica) and Luka Dončić (personal) sidelined, Reaves was the star of the show. That also meant he was the focal point for the Celtics defense to key in on. He started slow, but he was able to finish with a strong, efficient scoring night. Reaves has reached a new level this season, and it has led to a ton of monster performances like this one. After a solid showing in Monday’s loss to the Suns, Ayton began the Lakers’ road trip with a quality performance against the Raptors. He’s grabbed at least eight rebounds in four straight and seven of his last eight games while averaging 16.3 points and 1.4 blocks per game. From January 6, 2007, through December 1, 2025, LeBron had scored at least 10 points in 1,297 consecutive games. After being held to 10 points in Monday’s loss to the Suns, the streak came to an end in Toronto. And it wasn’t for a lack of trying, as only Austin Reaves attempted more shots among the Lakers who saw action. However, give James credit for not forcing the issue on the possession, instead finding Rui Hachimura (12/3/0/1 with two three-pointers) in the corner for the game-winning triple as time expired. With Luka Dončić (personal) away from the team and LeBron James struggling with his shot, the Lakers once again looked to Reaves to lead the way offensively. As has been the case many times this season, he answered the call in Toronto. Having scored at least 30 points in four of his last five appearances, Reaves surpassed 40 for the third time this season. He continues to provide first-round fantasy value and has shown no signs of slowing down. For that reason, the “sell-high” window for Reaves should be closed, if it wasn’t already.

With Joel Embiid under a minutes restriction and Paul George unavailable, Maxey was once again left to shoulder the offensive workload on Thursday. He had an excellent night, marking the ninth game this season in which he’s scored at least 35 points. And Maxey’s lone blocked shot was huge, as his rejection of a De’Anthony Melton shot attempt as time expired preserved the one-point victory. Edgecombe wasn’t the most impactful scorer on Thursday, but he did make the game’s biggest shot. His putback of a Tyrese Maxey fadeaway with nine-tenths of a second remaining gave Philadelphia the 99-98 victory, with the 76ers avoiding losing a game they led by at least 20 points after one quarter for the first time in franchise history. Despite averaging just 8.7 points per game, Edgecombe has been close to a top-50 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. Thursday’s game was Embiid’s first since November 30, so the minutes restriction was unsurprising. Unfortunately for those who have him rostered, the 7-footer missed all six of his three-point attempts. Walker has played a surprisingly large role for a player on a two-way contract, but that hasn’t led to much production in the box score. James was one of several key Lakers who couldn’t get going on the offensive end on Monday. He took only 10 shots, had his most inefficient shooting performance thus far, and recorded a season-low in points as a result. The versatile forward had little impact in another area of the game — he failed to grab a rebound, only produced a few assists, and didn’t register any stocks for the game.
