After totaling 48 points in losses to the Warriors and Suns, McBride crashed back to earth on Monday with a five-point performance against the Mavericks. He got back on track Wednesday night, shooting 50 percent from the field and finishing a blocked shot shy of a complete line. With Jalen Brunson healthy, McBride’s fantasy upside is limited, but he can still be of value to deep-league managers.

Shamet was red-hot from beyond the arc on Wednesday, making all six of his attempts on the night. While his role doesn’t make him a viable option in most fantasy leagues, the Knicks’ reserve has averaged 2.3 three-pointers per game since returning from a shoulder injury. Shamet will only be worth a look on nights when the Knicks are shorthanded on the wings.

Wednesday went as well as it could have for Brunson and the Knicks, who entered their game with the Nets 2-9 in their last 11 games. The Knicks set a franchise record for margin of victory (54 points), and Brunson didn’t have to over-exert himself. Of course, fantasy managers would have hoped for a more competitive game, as the point guard may have logged more than 31 minutes. Saturday’s game against the 76ers stands to be far more competitive.

Embiid did not play in Tuesday’s loss to the Suns, sitting out as it was the 76ers’ second game in as many nights. Andre Drummond filled the resulting void, grabbing 15 rebounds in 22 minutes, while Adem Bona played 26 minutes off the bench and recorded a double-double.

George has missed the 76ers’ last two games due to left knee injury management, resulting in Kelly Oubre Jr. moving into the starting lineup. Oubre should be rostered in deep leagues, and he’ll have some value in standard leagues if George remains out.

Maxey extended his streak of games with at least 20 points to three, but the Suns made him work for everything he got on Tuesday. The good news for fantasy managers is that Maxey did not compound the poor shooting with a high turnover count. He only committed two, and low-turnover nights have been the norm for the All-Star Game starter throughout his NBA career.

Tuesday’s game was the first for Edgecombe in which he scored at least 20 points since January 3. With Joel Embiid and Paul George out, there were more shots available to the rookie, whose 21 attempts were the most in a game for him since December 30. Edgecombe is shooting 41.3 percent from the field over the past two weeks, which has limited him to eighth-round per-game value in eight-cat formats.

Oubre scored 16 points in the first half of Tuesday’s game, giving the 76ers a needed boost with Tyrese Maxey struggling to get going. Unfortunately, for those with the Tsunami Papi rostered, there wasn’t much offensive production after halftime. Still, Oubre totaled 39 points in two starts for the injured Paul George. If George remains out for Thursday’s game against the Rockets, Oubre will be worth streaming.

With Tuesday being Philadelphia’s second game in as many nights, Joel Embiid not playing was expected. He’ll be replaced in the lineup by Drummond, with Adem Bona picking up additional minutes off the bench. Also, Oubre gets another start with Paul George missing a second straight game.

George will miss a second consecutive game, as he did not play in Monday’s win over the Pacers. Kelly Oubre Jr. was productive as the spot starter and should retain that role. Oubre is worth streaming in deep leagues when allowed to start.

George sat out Monday’s matchup with the Pacers, but he’s got a chance to return for the second leg of Philadelphia’s back-to-back set. George’s return should send Kelly Oubre Jr. back to the bench after a productive 18/1/5/2/1 line as a starter on Monday.

Embiid has been on the injury report frequently with a knee injury, but he’ll get Tuesday off due to right ankle injury management. Tuesday’s tilt with Phoenix is the second leg of a back-to-back set, so the absence shouldn’t be alarming to fantasy managers. Andre Drummond and Adem Bona should pick up the slack at center until Embiid returns.

Hours after being named an All-Star starter, Maxey was able to turn in a monster stat line. Most of the numbers are things he has done all season, but he was able to set a new career high for steals, obliterating his previous mark of five. Maxey proved why he deserved the starting spot, and he’ll continue to be a dominant player in fantasy basketball for the remainder of the season. Next up is a matchup with the Suns on Tuesday.

For the second time this season, Embiid was able to score 30 points in consecutive games. It took him some time to get on track, and he still isn’t as productive as he used to be, but he’s certainly still able to score at an elite level. He’ll continue to light up the scoreboard when he’s available, and his minutes have gone up, which is encouraging for his health. However, that doesn’t mean he’s going to play back-to-backs. Except him to be ruled out against the Suns on Tuesday.

With Paul George (knee) sidelined for the first leg of this back-to-back, Oubre was able to get the starting nod. He has been an inconsistent producer as a reserve, but he took advantage of this opportunity and had his highest scoring game since Nov. 8. He can be productive as a starter, but that is a role that he’ll only have when there is an injury in front of him. George should be back to take on the Suns on Tuesday, so Oubre should head back to the bench.

Robinson may have been the only Knicks player to bring consistent energy during the first half of Monday’s game. He finished with 15 rebounds and a double-double, his second double-double of the season. The combination of inconsistent availability and limited scoring makes Robinson challenging to rely on in most fantasy leagues. However, nights like Monday are a reminder of what he’s capable of despite the minutes restriction.

Towns may have recorded a solid stat line, but looks can be deceiving. His penchant for committing silly fouls continued, and the aggression needed from a player of KAT’s caliber was not always there. Fantasy managers can be pleased with the complete stat line, but the Knicks need more from Towns if they’re to snap out of their current funk.

As bad as the Knicks’ January 5 loss to the Pistons was, Monday’s performance may have been worse. They couldn’t string together stops against a depleted Mavericks team and also struggled to make shots. Brunson’s points and assists were solid, but he shot the ball poorly in a game the Knicks were never really in. The Knicks will look to bounce back on Wednesday when they host the Nets.

Paul George (knee) is sidelined, which results in Oubre returning to the starting unit. This is the first night of a back-to-back, so George should return to take on the Suns on Tuesday. However, Oubre will get at least one game of increased value.

Embiid will be good to go after initially being listed as questionable. This is the first night of a back-to-back, so he will likely be held out against the Suns on Tuesday. Andre Drummond and Adem Bona should fill the center minutes for that game, but Embiid will occupy his typical starting spot for this one.

Monday’s game is the first of two in as many nights for the 76ers, who host the Suns on Tuesday. George won’t play against the team that drafted him, but fantasy managers may be able to utilize him against Phoenix. Jared McCain is active after spending time in the G League, but he’s unlikely to get the run needed to affect fantasy basketball. Look for Kelly Oubre to benefit more from George’s absence.

Like Joel Embiid, George is on the injury report for Monday’s game for left knee injury management. With the 76ers hosting Phoenix on Tuesday, it would be unsurprising if George did not play against the team that drafted him in 2010. Kelly Oubre could move into the starting lineup if George sits.

Embiid is back on the injury report due to left knee injury management, but he has played in nine of the 76ers’ last ten games. However, with Philadelphia hosting Phoenix on Tuesday, the 76ers may view Monday as an opportunity to get the 7-footer a night off. If he sits, Andre Drummond and Adem Bona would handle the center responsibilities.

For the first time since Halloween, Anunoby has recorded back-to-back 20-point games. He didn’t shoot the ball well against the Suns, but the rebounds, assists and steals should help compensate for the field-goal percentage. The assists and steals have been down recently, which has led to Anunoby being a ninth-round player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. However, his season-long value continues to exceed his Yahoo! ADP (66).

Towns recorded a double-double, but the performance felt a bit underwhelming from the Knicks’ star center. Phoenix’s physicality on defense appeared to affect KAT, who attempted half of his shots from beyond the arc. Shooting 43.3 percent from the field, he has only been a top-75 player over the past two weeks. Towns and the Knicks will look to bounce back on Monday against the Mavericks, the first of three games they’ll play in Week 14.

McBride put forth another quality performance filling in for Jalen Brunson, posting consecutive 20-point games for the first time this season. Already without Jalen Brunson (ankle), the Knicks won’t have Josh Hart (ankle) for Saturday night’s game. His absence means that Diawara will start, which gives the rookie a shot at achieving fantasy relevance. However, he is not a must-stream player. This was Embiid’s fifth 30-point game of the season, but it wasn’t enough for the 76ers to get the win. His lack of contributions in categories other than scoring have limited his impact in category leagues; his 6.9 rebounds per game are the fewest of his career. Still, he’s played 22 games now this season, which surpassed his total of 19 games last year. As long as he’s out on the floor for Philadelphia, he’ll continue to pour in the points.

Maxey didn’t do as much as a scorer, but he was able to contribute value across the board. He matched his career high for steals, which he has set two other times this season already. This game came after he was held to 14 points against the Cavs on Wednesday, so while it was a rough two-game series as a scorer, he was able to contribute in a bunch of other categories in this game. He’ll look to get back on track against the Pacers on Monday.
