Just when the 76ers were playing well and strengthening their on-court chemistry, the league announced that George will be suspended for 25 games. His absence likely means that Dominick Barlow, who remains on a two-way contract, will return to the starting lineup. Not having George also means the 76ers will need more production from starters VJ Edgecombe and Kelly Oubre, which could raise the fantasy ceilings of both players.

Do you think Towns heard the rumors that he could be made available in a trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo? The 30-year-old center has been a man possessed over the last two games. He’s had 42 rebounds combined in the last two contests. Towns has also seen his minutes tick up after not appearing in the final four minutes against the Kings earlier this week. He’s provided sixth-round per game value over the last two weeks. Towns will look to keep it going against the Lakers on Sunday.

Anunoby has now had at least 23 points and at least two made three-pointers in three of his last four games. The 28-year-old small forward is perhaps more known for his defense, but he has an excellent offensive game that includes a solid outside shot. Anunoby has been instrumental in the Knicks’ current five-game winning streak. He’s provided fourth-round per game value over the last two weeks. Anunoby and the Knicks will look to stay hot against the Lakers on Sunday.

The Knicks appear to be done messing around. New York has now won five games in a row since a 2-7 stretch. Brunson continues to lead the way and is so consistently good it’s almost boring. The 29-year-old point guard has scored at least 20 points in 11-of-13 games in January. He’s provided 11th-round per game value over the last two weeks. The Knicks close out the week with a matchup against the Lakers on Sunday.

It was a subpar two-game stretch for Maxey entering this game, but he got back on track in a big way. Not only did he have his first 40-point game since November, but he also hit a game-winning layup with less than two seconds left. Maxey has had a fantastic season and continues to be one of the most effective players in fantasy basketball. He’ll look to stay hot against the Pelicans on Saturday to wrap up the week.

Embiid stayed hot in this game and has now scored at least 30 points in five of his last six games. Over the past wo weeks, Embiid has provided top-five value in nine-category leagues, which is incredible value for a player drafted in the fifth round. Of course, the caveat of “he has to stay healthy” will remain until April, but he’s playing at an incredibly high level. While Towns didn’t have a good night shooting the basketball, he didn’t let those struggles affect him in other areas. With no Mitchell Robinson (ankle), KAT dominated the glass, grabbing a season-high 22 rebounds. So even with the poor shooting, there was still some value to be gained by fantasy managers. On a night when Jalen Brunson (13 points, one rebound, four assists and one block) was under the weather, Hart was among the Knicks who picked up the slack. Dealing with a sore ankle, the Knicks’ wing matched his season-high in points and finished a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. Considering George scored nine total points in his last game, a new season high of nine triples was the last thing anyone was expecting. Monday’s fourth-quarter minutes in a 130-93 defeat may have given McCain the boost that a recent stint in the G League failed to. The second-year guard, who’s struggled with injuries and confidence since having his rookie campaign end prematurely due to a torn meniscus, shot 4-of-7 from the field in the final frame, scoring 12 points. As has been the case on a few occasions this season, Edgecombe got going in the fourth quarter after being quiet for the first three.
