The good news is that the 76ers are no longer listing the back issue that was included on the injury report for Tuesday’s win over the Wizards. George only played 18 minutes as the team continues to manage his workload. If allowed to play on Thursday, he will remain restricted as the 76ers take a measured approach to PG’s playing time.

Walker has played a surprisingly large role for a player on a two-way contract, but that hasn’t led to much production in the box score. However, that didn’t hold true in this game, as he was able to record a double-double for the first time this season. Walker holds some value in dynasty formats, but he shouldn’t be relied on in redraft leagues, barring multiple injuries to forward currently in front of him on the depth chart.

Drummond returned to the starting lineup with Joel Embiid (knee) sidelined, and he immediately returned to dominating the glass. He needed just 17 minutes to record his eighth double-double of the year. Drummond’s value is tied to Embiid’s availability, and with a back-to-back coming up on Thursday and Friday, Drummond should get at least one more start this week. Unfortunately, his value takes a big hit when Embiid plays.

Maxey didn’t need long to dominate the lowly Wizards. His 29 minutes were the fewest he has played in a game this season, and he was able to lead both teams in scoring to help the 76ers rebound after a double-overtime loss on Sunday. Maxey also matched his season high for steals. There were questions in the past about how Joel Embiid or Paul George would impact Maxey, but it has become clear this year that this is now his team.

Rostered in 33 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Carter has provided top-100 value in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. Of course, it would be good to get more consistent defensive production out of the Magic center, but the top-100 may be his ceiling at this stage in his career. That isn’t elite, but it isn’t a bad spot to be in, either. The 17 points he scored on Monday were the most in a game for Carter since November 18, when he hit that number in a win over the Warriors.

On a night when starting point guard Jalen Suggs (10/4/4/5/1 with two three-pointers) shot 3-of-13 from the field, Black picked up the slack for the Magic. This was his fourth game with at least 20 points, with Monday’s total only being exceeded by the 31 he scored in Orlando’s November 25 blowout of the 76ers. Over the past two weeks, Black has provided top-100 in nine-cat formats. Given how well he’s played, Black should remain rostered in 14-team leagues.

Having turned in another efficient stat line, Wagner has scored at least 20 points in three straight and five of his last six games. The Magic have gone 7-2 since losing Paolo Banchero to a strained groin, and Wagner’s consistency is one reason for the excellent record. He’s provided top-75 value in eight- and nine-cat formats over the last nine games. While that doesn’t align with his Yahoo! ADP (36), it is still a good value for those who have Wagner rostered.

After scoring a season-high 37 points in Friday’s win over the Pistons, Bane matched that total on Monday. He was a bit too deferential to begin his first season with the Magic, but that hasn’t been the case recently, especially after Orlando lost Paolo Banchero to a strained groin. Since the November 12 win over the Knicks, Bane has averaged 24.1 points per game on 47.1 percent shooting from the field and 96.4 percent from the foul line. He has been a top-25 player with Banchero out, which has been great for fantasy managers who have him on their rosters.

With VJ Edgecombe (calf) back after a three-game absence, Grimes returned to playing a reserve role. However, Grimes started the second half in place of Edgecombe and ended up having an excellent night. Maxey’s late-game heroics helped force the first overtime, but he also faltered late, which resulted in a second overtime. He hit a three-pointer off an offensive rebound late in the fourth quarter to tie the game, but with a chance to seal the win in overtime, he missed two free throws. Still, it was an excellent performance for Maxey, which led to him exceeding 40 points for the fourth time this season. Even with Joel Embiid back and Paul George healthy, this is clearly Tyrese Maxey’s team.

Embiid suited up for the first time after a nine-game absence and was able to log 30 minutes. That was a new season high for him, and while he wasn’t great, he was at least back out on the floor, which is a step in the right direction. He was left on the bench for the second overtime, so he likely hit his minutes restriction. After Jalen Suggs (14/4/1/4/1 with two three-pointers) made two free throws with just over six seconds remaining to push the Magic lead out to three, Black made the play that clinched a spot in the NBA Cup quarterfinals. His rejection of a Duncan Robinson three-point attempt sealed the victory, and the third-year guard continues to make strides. Black didn’t shoot the ball well from the field, but fantasy managers still received solid value due to the overall line. Rostered in 21 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he has provided 10th-round value in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. Wagner has scored at least 20 points in three of his last four and 15 of his 20 appearances this season. With Paolo Banchero (groin) out, the Magic have looked to Wagner more often, and on most nights, he has been up to the task. Interestingly, while Bane scored a season-high 37 points, he did not make a single three-pointer. The Magic guard missed all five of his attempts, but he shot 65 percent from inside the arc and was a frequent visitor to the foul line. All that was missing from Bane’s stat line was a three-pointer, and the overall production compensated for that. Over the past two weeks, he has been close to a top-25 player in nine-cat formats, rebounding from a slow start to the season.
