Green did not provide much value as a scorer, which is par for his course. But he was impactful in other ways, including recording a team-high 10 assists and four “stocks.” With Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler leading the way offensively, Green’s mastery of the “little things” will be critical in Golden State’s first-round matchup with Houston. Game 1 is on Sunday night.

While his injured right thumb remains problematic, it did not keep Curry from showing up when it mattered most on Tuesday. The Warriors guard scored 15 of the team’s final 19 points, as Golden State avoided blowing a game they led by as much as 20. Curry shot 3-of-4 from beyond the arc during the fourth quarter, and his two free throws with 3.4 seconds remaining sealed the outcome. Golden State’s reward is much-needed time off and a matchup with the Rockets. Game 1 is scheduled for Sunday in Houston.

Tuesday’s Play-In tournament matchup was not an official playoff game, but it was the Warriors fans’ official introduction to Butler as a postseason weapon. While he did not record the best free-throw percentage, racking up 18 attempts cannot be ignored. Butler has added a needed dimension to the Warriors on both ends of the floor, especially offensively. His ability to work out of the post and get to the foul line will be vital in the playoffs, which the Warriors will begin on Sunday in Houston in a 2/7 matchup.

Butler injured his thigh during Sunday’s overtime loss to the Clippers. He played through it and said after that he would play against Memphis, and the initial injury report lines up with his statement. Butler should see a heavy workload in a matchup to make the playoffs and take on the Rockets in the first round.

Butler’s final stat line on Sunday was outstanding but came with some pain. He took a Kawhi Leonard knee to the left thigh during overtime but stayed in the game. That injury, combined with Stephen Curry’s right thumb, is why the Warriors could have used the time off that would have come with a victory over the Clippers. Instead, Butler and the Warriors will host the Grizzlies on Tuesday. Following the game, Butler said he was fine and will be in the lineup, but don’t be surprised if Jimmy is on the initial injury report.

While the addition of Jimmy Butler has negatively impacted Jonathan Kuminga’s (DNP-CD on Sunday) playing time and fantasy value, that has not been the case for Podziemski. The second-year guard has played well since the February trade deadline, providing eighth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats. Podziemski’s emergence will be key for the Warriors, as they’ll need to beat Memphis on Tuesday to earn the seventh seed in the West. Houston will be the first-round opponent for the winner of that game, while the loser plays the Sacramento/Dallas winner for the eighth seed.

Curry has been dealing with a right thumb injury, the severity of which has not been made public. With that in mind, it would have been nice for the Warriors to win Sunday’s game, as they would have avoided the play-in tournament. Instead, they’ll host Memphis on Tuesday, with the winner being the seventh seed in the West. The good news for Curry and the Warriors was that he shot the ball well on Sunday, but he must clean up the turnovers after committing eight against the Clippers.

Banton played well as the starting point guard for Portland over their final seven games of the season. During this stretch as a starter, he has scored at least 20 points four times. He was also able to match his season-high of 23 points, which he has done a surprising four times this season without ever scoring more. Banton has benefitted from the absences of Anfernee Simons and Scoot Henderson, and he is set to be a free agent this summer. He could find a new team where he can be the backup point guard, but it will be difficult for him to find a situation where he can start.

Clingan closed out his rookie season on a high note by posting the eighth double-double of his young career. He has proven that he can be an effective player in a starting role, but it’s unclear what the rotation will look like in Portland next season. Deandre Ayton figures to be the starting center as long as he is with the Trail Blazers, and there hasn’t been any indication that they intend to move on. Clingan likely won’t be worth drafting next season if Ayton is on the roster.

Avdija was initially doubtful for Sunday’s game, while Sharpe was questionable. Deni was one of the revelations of the fantasy basketball season, especially after moving into the starting lineup just after Christmas. From December 28 onward, he was a top-60 player in eight-cat formats. As for Sharpe, he remains a superior option for points league formats than category leagues, but his value increased after a knee injury sidelined Jerami Grant in early March. Kris Murray and Rayan Rupert should play significant minutes for Sunday’s season finale.

While the Trail Blazers have not reached the postseason in Billups’ four seasons as head coach, the team made strides during the 2024-25 campaign. A six-game winning streak that began in late January provided some optimism that the team could remain in the play-in tournament conversation, but injuries short-circuited those hopes. Grant’s season has come to a disappointing end. He has not played in a game since March 9. The veteran forward finished the season as a 12th-round player in eight- and nine-cat formats, shooting 37.3 percent from the field and offering limited value outside of the points and three-point categories. Simons and Henderson will miss Portland’s final game of the season, meaning Dalano Banton will remain in the starting lineup. He should be slotted into lineups in active fantasy leagues due to Portland’s lack of options at point guard. While Simons finished the season as a ninth-round player in eight- and nine-cat formats, Henderson was ranked well outside the top-100 in both. Banton started and played 31 minutes Friday against the Warriors with Anfernee Simons and Scoot Henderson ruled out. The 25-year-old point guard is capable of big games when given the opportunity, but this certainly wasn’t one of those. Banton couldn’t get his shot to fall as he finished with three points on 1-of-12 shooting from the field. Portland finishes up the season Sunday with a matchup against the Lakers. Curry made the wrong kind of personal history on Sunday. The three points are the fewest he’s scored in a game in which he’s attempted at least 10 shots in his NBA career. The Rockets used multiple defenders on Curry throughout Sunday’s game, and they were able to shut him down. Houston’s success may be bad news for the Suns, who will host the Warriors on Tuesday. Camara returned from a one-game absence on Sunday, and the second-year forward looked sharp. Three-point percentage is not a scoring category in most fantasy leagues, so Toumani going 4-of-11 from deep is not a big deal, especially when he made 50 percent of his shots overall. Banton has started Portland’s last four games, filling the void at point guard with Anfernee Simons (arm) and Scoot Henderson (concussion) unavailable. Shooting a shade below 50 percent from the field and committing one turnover, efficiency was not an issue for Banton against the Spurs. The 38.9 percent mark from the field is why he’s ranked outside the top 150 in nine-cat formats over the past week.
