Grant was doubtful before Tuesday’s game and then listed as questionable on Wednesday, so he’s now trending in the right direction to finally be active. He has missed 14th games with an Achilles injury, but could return at a great time for Portland, with Deni Avdija (back) already ruled out for Thursday.

Avdija was initially listed as doubtful, so his being downgraded isn’t a huge surprise. Caleb Love should continue to play big minutes and be leaned on for offense. He’s been a borderline top 100 player over the last few weeks and can be relied on in most fantasy formats.

Listed as doubtful ahead of Tuesday’s loss to the Warriors, Grant being questionable on the initial injury report for Thursday is a step in the right direction. If he remains out, Sidy Cissoko should get another start. Unfortunately, his production has not been consistent enough to merit streaming.

After missing Tuesday’s loss to the Warriors, Avdija is on track to miss a second consecutive game. Rookie Caleb Love moved into the starting lineup, as Jrue Holiday is still under a minutes restriction. While he did struggle from the field, shooting 5-of-16, Love did play 34 minutes. He’s worth a look in deep leagues if allowed to make another start.

Finney-Smith will miss a second consecutive game due to left ankle injury management. Reed Sheppard and JD Davison both surpassed 20 minutes in Tuesday’s win over the Bulls, while Jae’Sean Tate played five minutes. While Sheppard is already rostered in standard leagues, there’s no need to leap Davison or Tate.

Eason will miss his third straight game as he continues to recover from an ankle injury suffered against the Trail Blazers on January 9. Josh Okogie has most recently started in Eason’s spot and is a likely candidate to fill in again on Thursday as the Rockets look to win back-to-back games.

Holiday came off the bench for a second straight game after making his return from nearly a two-month absence on Sunday. However, he started the second half in place of Caleb Love, who joined the starting lineup with Deni Avdija out. Holiday will eventually return to the starting lineup, and his jump in minutes from 16 on Sunday to 21 in this game indicate that is closer to happening. Holiday could be back starting against the Hawks on Thursday, which will result in a value boost for him.

Love entered this game having scored in double figures in 11 straight games, which led to the first start of his career. He extended that streak to 12 games, though it didn’t come efficiently, and he was benched in favor of Jrue Holiday to open the second half. Love may return to playing a reserve role in their next game, but he should still play a decent role off the bench as a scorer and is worth stashing in dynasty formats.

Thompson has been on quite the scoring stretch, which continued in this game. He has scored at least 20 points in four straight games and in seven of his last eight appearances. However, the most impressive part has been his improvement at the free throw line. His free throw percentage has leaped up 12.2 percent this season, and he was outstanding from the line in this game. His last three games have been average, but prior to that, he went four straight games without missing a shot from the charity stripe. This is an encouraging development for Thompson’s upside as a shooter, which can lead to fantasy superstardom.

KD is always a consistent scorer, but his impact on the glass recently has been huge. This was his third double-double in his last five games, and he hasn’t scored less than 20 points in a game in over a month. Duran is the epitome of consistency and will continue to put up gaudy lines over the Rockets’ next three games this week, with the Thunder up next on Thursday.

This was the third time this season that Şengün finished with at least 10 assists, and if he was as effective on the glass as he typically is, this could’ve been a triple-double. Şengün is averaging a career high in points, assists, steals and blocks, which has led to the best fantasy season of his career, even if his boards are slightly down. He’ll look to have a big night in their next game on Thursday against the Thunder.

Grant was upgraded to doubtful, which is a good sign that he is getting closer to a return, but this will be a 14th straight absence for him. Sidy Cissoko has started the last three games for Portland and should remain in that role, though he hasn’t been great for fantasy managers.

While the doubtful tag suggests that Grant is closer to missing another game than returning to action, this represents progress. In the past, the Trail Blazers have ruled Grant out immediately, and he has missed the last 13 games. Bad news. Avdija is already ruled out for Tuesday’s game against the Warriors with what the Trail Blazers are calling lower back soreness. The 25-year-old small forward landed awkwardly and tweaked his lower back in the final minutes of Sunday’s loss against the Knicks. Jrue Holiday returned Sunday and will have a bigger role going forward, but Avdija’s injury is a tough blow for the Trail Blazers.

While Tuesday’s game is not part of a back-to-back, the Rockets are taking a cautious approach to Finney-Smith’s return from offseason ankle surgery. Also, they host the Thunder on Thursday, which will be a far more critical matchup to have the veteran forward available for. Reed Sheppard should play more after logging 15 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Kings.

Eason will miss a second consecutive game with a sprained right ankle, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. Aaron Holiday received the nod in Sunday’s loss to the Kings, shooting 1-of-7 from the field and finishing with three points, one rebound, four assists, one steal and one three-pointer. While the opportunity would make Holiday someone worth considering as a streamer, he is not a must-add.

Durant’s streak of 30-point games ended at two on Sunday, and he needed to knock down three shots during the fourth quarter to extend his streak of 20-point games. Give credit to the Kings for their work defensively, but this was an underwhelming performance for fantasy managers hoping to get a big night out of Durant. Houston opens a four-game Week 13 on Tuesday against the Bulls in what should be a high-possession game.

This has been a challenging time for Şengün’s managers, as injuries have sidelined him for five of the Rockets’ previous seven games entering Sunday. (And he played only one minute in a January 3 loss to Dallas.) While the center did not shoot the ball well in Sacramento, playing 35 minutes in his first game back was encouraging. The Rockets play four games in Week 13, but a midweek back-to-back could limit Şengün to three appearances, depending on how the training staff handles his playing time.

While it wasn’t enough to deliver the Rockets a win, Thompson’s final line was one of his best this season. In addition to matching his season-high in points, the third-year wing recorded his eighth double-double of the season. The lack of defensive stats and five turnovers were disappointing, but Thompson has scored at least 20 points in three straight and six of his last seven appearances. The Rockets will play all four of their Week 13 games at home, starting with the Bulls on Tuesday.

After missing nearly two months with a strained calf, Holiday was back in the Trail Blazers’ rotation on Sunday. He played 16 minutes off the bench, with the minutes limit preserving some of Sidy Cissoko’s playing time. As Holiday continues to ramp up his activity, there will likely come a point where he and Cissoko switch roles.

Love continues to produce like a player intent on securing his NBA future. Jrue Holiday’s return on Sunday did not bounce the rookie from the rotation, due partly to the absences of Jerami Grant and Kris Murray despite not sharing a position with those two. Love, who’s on a two-way deal, has five 20-point games this season. Providing 11th-round value in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks, Love may be worth holding onto in dynasty leagues despite the contract status.

For the first time in nearly a month, Sharpe has scored at least 20 points in four consecutive games. What’s encouraging for fantasy managers is that he played 35 minutes on Sunday despite Jrue Holiday making his return from a calf strain. Sharpe’s minutes will likely be affected more by the returns of Scoot Henderson and Jerami Grant, and both appear far from returning to games. Portland has four games in Week 13, starting with the Warriors on Tuesday.

Avdija finished Sunday’s defeat with another solid stat line, but that isn’t the key takeaway. He left with just under two minutes remaining after landing awkwardly and tweaking something in his lower back. While acting head coach Tiago Splitter had no information during his postgame press conference, he said he was “worried” about the injury. Even with Jrue Holiday returning from his calf injury on Sunday, losing Avdija would be significant for Portland.
