The good news for fantasy managers is that Ayton reached double digits in rebounds for the fourth time in his last seven appearances. That should take some of the sting out of the poor shooting. Over his previous two games, Ayton has shot 6-of-21 from the field, so it may be fair to question whether the left eye injury suffered in Denver on Tuesday is still an issue. As long as Ayton can provide increased production as a rebounder, the shooting should not be too much of a problem.

James filled the stat sheet, so there was some value to be had despite the limited scoring. Since the beginning of the month, he’s only had two games in which he’s failed to score at least 20 points. And over the past two weeks, James has offered top-20 value in eight-cat formats. Playing in Dallas for the second time since being traded last January, Dončić helped lead the Lakers’ comeback. Clingan made the most of his 29 minutes of game action. He pulled down at least 15 rebounds for the fifth time already in January and made a three-pointer in his fourth straight game. The second-year center also set a new season-high in steals, bringing the defensive production despite not amassing any blocked shots. Clingan has made a nice jump from his rookie to sophomore season and should only get better going forward. His two-way versatility gives him a high ceiling in regard to fantasy basketball.

Sharpe was active on the offensive end on Friday. Without Deni Avdija (back), his shot volume was high, but he finished with fewer points than field-goal attempts. However, the fourth-year guard got on the glass and also made contributions as a passer to round out his solid overall performance. Depending on how long Avdija is sidelined, there’s potential that Sharpe could really put up some big scoring performances. He may have a chance to do so on Monday against the Celtics.

Holiday’s production on the offensive end was one of the most important for Portland on Friday. He shot the ball well and contributed from behind the three-point line to finish as one of the team’s top couple of scorers. In addition to his passing, he set the table well for his teammates and finished as the Trail Blazers’ leader in assists. Since making his return from a strained calf on January 13, Hachimura’s playing time has increased steadily. Thursday’s game was the second straight in which he logged 28 minutes, and the Lakers’ forward was solid. The question now is whether Hachimura is locked into the reserve role or will he reclaim his place in the starting lineup. While Thursday’s production may have been pedestrian by James’ lofty standards, his fantasy value is approaching the level many fantasy managers expected it to be before the season began. A top-30 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks, LeBron’s season-long value is rapidly approaching his Yahoo! ADP (36). Deni Avdija (back) exited early from this game, which opened the door for Sharpe to step up. This was the second straight game he’s scored exactly 27 points, and he’s scored at least 20 in eight of his last nine games. Sharpe has seen a bump in steals this season, which has helped his value in category leagues, but he is still reliant on points and triples. He was able to do a little more in this game, but fantasy managers shouldn’t rely on him to produce to this level consistently. Avdija was having an excellent night before his lower back flared up, tallying 20 points (6-of-11 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), seven rebounds, four assists and two three-pointers in 18 minutes. Avdija missed three games earlier this month after injuring his lower back during a January 11 loss to the Knicks.
