Due to injury, Portland is without Deni Avdija and Jerami Grant for Friday’s game. Sharpe and Murray have filled the two voids in the starting lineup, with the latter boasting a significantly higher fantasy ceiling. Murray may be most valuable during the “silly season,” but he isn’t a must-stream player in this particular spot.

Avdija injured his quad Wednesday against Washington while Jerami Grant hasn’t missed a game in a little over two weeks. Kris Murray and Shaedon Sharpe stand as the biggest beneficiaries with Portland down two of its forwards. Sharpe has had some big scoring games this year when the Trail Blazers are missing key players.

Hachimura was injured during the third quarter of Thursday’s win over the Timberwolves and has since been diagnosed with a strained left knee. Fantasy managers should prepare for this potentially being an injury that costs him multiple games, beginning with Friday night. Dorian Finney-Smith, who can provide three-pointers and steals, is the likely replacement in the starting lineup. He’s worth streaming in deep leagues.

Hayes is questionable with a left hip contusion. The Lakers need all the help they can get in the low post with the Clippers’ Ivica Zubac on the docket Friday. Alex Len and Jarred Vanderbilt would pick up the slack if Hayes is ruled out.

Doncic’s status is up in the air after notching a double-double despite his terrible shooting against the Timberwolves on Thursday. There’s no clear replacement for him in the starting lineup, as several Lakers might not play.

James and Doncic notched double-doubles in their last games against the Timberwolves but both are up in the air for Friday. A host of reserves could get a bump in playing time if either of the stars is ruled out .

James put on a show in this one, producing game-high point and rebound totals. James has been great this season, but he’s been on another level lately. Across his last 14, James has scored 25 or more points 10 times and recorded seven double-doubles. In that span, he’s averaged a healthy 28/8/8 line and led the Lakers to an 11-3 record. The Lakers have climbed the Western Conference standings and sit just two games back of the No. 2 seed thanks in large part to James’ elite contributions.

Doncic delivered a triple-double in Tuesday’s win over his former team, and perhaps fantasy managers should have expected a letdown following that emotional performance. Doncic struggled from the jump, and he never found his footing on offense. His 21 points on 20 shot attempts (1-of-9 from beyond the arc) was far from the model of efficiency, but an 8-of-12 performance from the charity stripe was enough to bolster his final point total. Fortunately for fantasy managers burned by Doncic’s poor shooting, his peripheral contributions were quite substantial.

Hachimura’s night will end early due to a left knee strain, which should allow Dorian Finney-Smith and Jarred Vanderbilt to take on extra minutes in the fourth quarter. If Hachimura remains out against the Clippers on Friday, DFS will likely start in his place.

Avdija sustained the left quad injury in Wednesday’s matchup with Washington, but he may be available to take the court without missing a game. Grant hasn’t missed a game since February 12. Kris Murray and Shaedon Sharpe will be the biggest beneficiaries if Avdija or Grant are sidelined on Frday.

Williams will miss a fourth straight game with what is being called a left knee sprain. Portland will remain shorthanded at center with Deandre Ayton (calf) also still out. Jabari Walker should fill out the backup center minutes behind Donovan Clingan, but he doesn’t offer much fantasy upside.

Grant shot the ball poorly again on Wednesday, and he’s only made 27.5 percent of his attempts over the past two weeks. However, the rebound production has increased in recent games. During that same two-week stretch, the veteran forward averages 5.3 rebounds per game, nearly two more than his mark for the season (3.5). However, the combination of decreased scoring and limited output in the other fantasy-relevant categories makes Grant a problematic player to hold onto in 10-team formats, even though he remains rostered in 74 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

After scoring eight points in his first game out of the All-Star break, Simons tallied 25 and 28 in wins over the Hornets and Jazz. He wasn’t as productive against the Wizards, but there was some value in the rebound, assist and steal numbers. Over the past two weeks, Simons has been a top 100 player in eight-cat formats, which aligns with his season-long value. Unless there’s a significant spike in production in one of the categories where Simons doesn’t traditionally provide consistent value (rebounds or field goal percentage), his ceiling will be limited.

Wednesday’s game was the best of the season for Sharpe in terms of production and highlights. Shaedon notched a season-high point total (36) and put up that number efficiently. He shot 50 percent from the field and 70 percent from the foul line and was also effective in the rebound and assist categories. Add in arguably the best in-game dunk in the NBA this season, and this was an excellent night for Sharpe, who scored 18 points in each half. Another note is the left quad injury that sidelined Deni Avdija before halftime. Sharpe started the third quarter, which may indicate his place within the rotation if Avdija misses time.

Avdija injured his left quad during the first quarter of Wednesday’s game, with the Trail Blazers announcing early in the third that he would not return. Shaedon Sharpe started the second half in Avdija’s place and appears to be the replacement if Deni misses time. Also in line for an increase in playing would be Scoot Henderson.

Avdija took a hit to his left quad during the first quarter of Wednesday’s game. While he remained in the game then, the Blazers forward eventually headed back to the locker room for further examination. Avdija is now questionable to return, and Kris Murray has entered the rotation. If Avdija misses time, Murray or Scoot Henderson will likely replace him in the starting lineup, with the latter offering a much higher fantasy ceiling.

James had a rather nondescript first three periods of Tuesday’s game, as he appeared intent on allowing Luka Doncic to take over against his former team. But in “winning time,” LeBron flipped a switch. Shooting 7-of-9 from the field in the fourth quarter, scoring 16 points with five rebounds, two assists and one three-pointer. James has scored 25 points or more in four straight games and has provided top-10 value in eight-cat formats since Doncic made his Lakers debut on February 10.

Reaves has now scored 20 points or more in four of his last six games, with three of those performances occurring with Luka Doncic on the court. Since the trade, Reaves has provided third-round value in nine-cat formats, averaging 20 points, four rebounds, six assists, 0.8 steals, one block and 2.5 three-pointers per game. Based on how he’s played, fantasy managers have nothing to worry about regarding Reaves’ value in a lineup that includes Doncic and LeBron James.

Doncic faced the Mavericks for the first time since he was traded in early February. He got off to a good start offensively on Tuesday, racking up nine points, seven rebounds and four assists in the first quarter. The point total may not have been as gaudy as most anticipated, but Doncic did record his first triple-double as a Laker. Luka has provided third-round value in eight-cat formats since the trade but was under a minutes restriction in his first two appearances.
