With Houston blowing Saturday’s game open during the second and third quarters, there were a few more minutes available to Sheppard. However, the second-year guard has been a standout for most of the season, despite coming off the bench on most nights. Sheppard recorded a complete stat line against the Cavaliers, and he’s played at least 30 minutes in three of his last five appearances. Sheppard is rostered in 41 percent of Yahoo! leagues, and one can argue that more 12-team managers need to hop onto the bandwagon.

Rostered in 47 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Smith has provided sixth-round per-game value in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. While there is certainly concern about how Tari Eason’s return may affect his value, Smith was solid in wins over the Lakers and Cavaliers to end Week 10. Also, Eason (nine points, six rebounds, two steals, one block and two three-pointers in 21 minutes) will remain limited to 25 minutes, and back-to-backs remain off the board for the foreseeable future. For that reason, Smith’s fantasy value may be protected for the time being.

The final score of 117-100 does not tell the whole story, as the Rockets led by more than 30 at one point in the second half. For that reason, Durant was not on the floor as much as fantasy managers would have hoped, especially after scoring 23 points in the first half. Over the past two weeks, the future Hall of Fame forward has provided top-10 per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats. And given who Houston plays in Week 11 (Indiana, Brooklyn and Dallas), Durant could be in for more big games, provided the Rockets don’t race out to huge leads.

DeRozan didn’t have a good night shooting the basketball, making 30 percent of his attempts from the field. But the ball was still in his hands quite often in crunch time, and the veteran wing provided solid value in the assist and defensive categories. With the Kings visiting the Lakers on Sunday, it would be unsurprising if the Compton native put on a show in his final game of Week 10.

After three games in which he was on the outskirts of the Kings’ rotation, Ellis found himself in the starting lineup on Saturday. And as the saying goes, “stay ready so you don’t have to get ready.” The Kings’ guard shot 5-of-10 from beyond the arc and scored a season-high 21 points. Add in the defensive stats, and this was an excellent night for Ellis. While head coach Doug Christie has not hesitated to make changes to his lineups, one would think that Ellis did enough to hold onto his job for Sunday’s game against the Lakers. He’s worth the streaming risk in deep leagues, especially when considering how bad the Lakers have been defensively.

Since the beginning of December, Raynaud has reached double figures in eight of Sacramento’s ten games. The rookie center has filled in admirably for the injured Domantas Sabonis, offering top-100 per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats. For those needing a boost before the end of Week 10, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to add Raynaud ahead of Sunday’s game against the Lakers.

Westbrook made some history on Saturday, as he passed Magic Johnson to move into seventh on the NBA’s all-time assists list. Overall, the veteran point guard played very well against the Mavericks, shooting 50 percent from the field and from beyond the arc while also recording a game-high nine assists. While Westbrook did commit four turnovers, his production since moving into the starting lineup has put him back on the radar in standard leagues, and some shallow formats as well. That is something that few, if any, fantasy managers expected before the season began. The Kings play their final game of Week 10 on Sunday against the Lakers.

The Rockets won’t have Alperen Şengün for Saturday’s game, as he has been ruled out with left calf tightness. Already without Zach LaVine, the Kings won’t have Keegan Murray for Saturday’s game, either. As a result, Ellis enters the starting lineup, which raises his fantasy ceiling. Some fantasy managers will also hope that this means Malik Monk will take on a more prominent role off the bench.

In his third game back from an oblique injury that sidelined him for over a month, Eason made his second start of the season. While the three-pointers weren’t falling, with the Rockets’ forward shooting 1-of-5, he did a little bit of everything else. Eason’s six defensive contributions were a season-high, and it’s something that he’s capable of doing consistently. Şengün only attempted seven shots on Thursday, the fewest in a game for him this season. However, the Rockets center did record his 16th double-double of the season. Şengün finished three assists shy of his second triple-double of the season, but he’s up to 15 double-doubles. Durant and Houston’s other starters didn’t see much time in the fourth quarter, as the game was well out of reach when they would usually re-enter the fray. While most of the focus has been on Maxime Raynaud (eight points, eight rebounds, two assists and one block) recently, and rightfully so, it was Achiuwa who stole the show on Tuesday. Not only did he match his season high with 15 points, but he also set a new high with 11 rebounds. Add in the defensive stats and Tuesday’s performance by Achiuwa, and some may push to add him. One game removed from hitting five three-pointers, Westbrook hit four more on Tuesday. Over the last two games, he’s shot 9-of-24 from deep. Reunited with “Terror Twin” Tari Eason, Thompson finished a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line on Sunday. If there’s something to watch, especially as Eason’s minutes increase, it’s how his return will affect Thompson defensively. Combined, those two can wreak havoc defensively, which may boost the fantasy values of both if it leads to increased steals and blocks. Making his first appearance since November 14, Eason was under a minutes restriction on Sunday. However, the production in limited time on the floor was highly encouraging. Eason shot 75 percent from the field and made all three of his three-point attempts. For the season, he’s making nearly 51 percent of his 4.8 three-point attempts. That’s a far cry from Eason’s career percentage (36.4), so it’s fair to question if he can continue to shoot the ball that well. However, there’s no denying that Eason has improved in that area, and it raises his fantasy ceiling once his minutes increase. Make it three double-doubles in as many games for Raynaud, whose 14 boards were a season-high. While the rookie has not been a top-100 player since moving into the starting lineup, he’s been productive enough to merit consideration in some 12-team leagues. Domantas Sabonis (knee) won’t be back until sometime in January, and Drew Eubanks (thumb) is also out. While Murray has reached double figures in five straight and six of his last seven games, 20-point efforts have been few and far between. Sunday’s was his first since November 28, and the Kings forward is up to three on the season. Of course, Murray did not make his first appearance until November 20. However, the number of scorers within the Kings’ rotation has limited his ceiling as a scorer, so it was encouraging to see Murray be as productive as he was on Sunday.
