It was a rough shooting night for Edwards, but he was able to redeem his night with some late buckets, which allowed him to tie Julius Randle as the leading scorers for Minnesota. He also made an impact in a variety of other ways despite his shot night falling, which is why he was a first-round pick once again this season. Edwards’ shooting percentages are actually up this season after they took a hit last year due to an uptick in three-point volume. Subpar shooting nights like this won’t happen often; this was his worst field goal percentage in a game this year.

Randle has been a scoring machine for Minnesota lately, which continued in this game. This was the third game in a row that he’s scored at least 25 points, which is a mark he has reached eight times this year. Last season, he only had 12 such games. Randle is having arguably the best season of his career. He’s averaging career-highs in points, assists and steals while shooting the best percentage of his career from the floor and the free throw line while also averaging the fewest turnovers per game since his last year as a Laker. It has been a fantastic start to the season, and while it feels unlikely that he can continue to play this well, he’ll be one of the best value picks in fantasy basketball if he does.

Reid played a season-high 35 minutes, which led to him nearly matching his season-high of 21 points. If he didn’t foul out, he may have been able to. Reid has been one of the best sixth men in the NBA over the last few seasons and is more than capable of turning in big nights when his shot is falling. However, his minutes have been down this year, which has limited his impact.

After missing Wednesday’s blowout loss to the Hawks, LaVine was back in the lineup. That wasn’t enough for them to get the win, but he was able to have a strong performance. LaVine has cooled off after a scorching hot start to the season, but in 11 appearances, he has scored at least 25 points seven times. Lavine will continue to be a focal point on offense for them, so there should be plenty more performances like this one in the future.

This was a historic night for Russ as he became the eighth player in NBA history to reach 10,000 assists. He also joined LeBron James as the only players to reach 25,000 points and 10,000 assists. He also recorded his second triple-double of the season and set a new season-high for dimes. It wasn’t enough to end the Kings’ losing streak, but it was a strong performance in his first game as their starting point guard. Westbrook should be rostered in standard leagues if you can deal with the inefficiencies.

Following a fourth straight home loss, Kings coach Doug Christie was clearly frustrated with his squad’s effort and discussed the possibility of making changes to the starting lineup. The lone change was moving Schroder to the bench, and he responded with a strong performance. That was great to see, but a move to the bench is still a bad thing for his upside in fantasy hoops. Schroder has struggled this year and shouldn’t be considered a must-roster player at this point.

Sabonis wasn’t able to help the Kings end their losing streak, but he had been struggling over their last few games, so it was good to see him get back on track in this one. After recording a double-double in his first seven games of the season, he had gone two straight without one, though that didn’t continue in this game. He also set a new season-high for scoring. Up next for Sabonis and the Kings is a matchup with the Spurs on Sunday to close out the week.

Sabonis was one of several Kings players to have a rough night on Wednesday against Atlanta. Sabonis’ performance was one of the better, though — he led all starters in scoring and was the only starter to collect multiple steals. Still, he failed to make an impact on the glass, and the overall production was very insignificant for the veteran center, whose scoring has slipped to begin this season.

DeRozan logged one of his least productive games of the season on Wednesday — he set season lows in points, field-goal attempts, and minutes. To be fair to the veteran forward, there weren’t many positive takeaways for any of Sacramento’s main rotation players on a night in which they trailed by as many as 44 points at home before losing by 33. DeRozan will have a chance to bounce back against the Timberwolves on Friday.

With Malik Monk unavailable to play (ankle), Ellis saw additional opportunities in the blowout loss on Wednesday. All but two of his points came from behind the three-point line before he finished with a new season-high in points. Eubanks was outstanding on Tuesday, holding his own defensively and providing solid offensive value. The 19 points were a season-high, and the 6-foot-10 center has reached double figures in four of his last five games. That said, Eubanks has been most valuable when starting center Domantas Sabonis is unavailable or dealing with foul trouble. The latter issue limited Sabonis to 26 minutes on Tuesday, leaving the other 22 to Eubanks. Westbrook has come off the bench in Sacramento’s last two games. However, after playing 16 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Timberwolves, his playing time nearly doubled on Tuesday. Westbrook played well against his most recent former employer, recording his fourth double-double of the season. And with Dennis Schröder struggling to find his way offensively, Westbrook played more against the Nuggets. Sabonis is doing all he can to fight through the rib contusion that sidelined him for two games last week. On Tuesday, he shared the team lead in scoring with backup Drew Eubanks and grabbed eight rebounds before fouling out. The 26 minutes Sabonis logged were the fewest in a game for him this season; in fact, this was the first game in which he did not hit 30 minutes. While his production has not matched his Yahoo! After attempting five shots and scoring nine points in Friday’s blowout loss to the Thunder, LaVine was far more involved offensively on Sunday. He’s scored at least 23 points in seven of his nine appearances, with the increased scoring propelling LaVine into the top-50 in eight- and nine-cat formats. After averaging 22.4 points in 32 appearances for the Kings last season, he’s averaged 25.2 points in 2025-26. Given the limited production outside of points and three-pointers, LaVine doesn’t have much margin for error, but scoring has rarely been an issue for him. Finishing with his fourth double-double of the season, Gobert had one of his best performances of the season on Sunday. Not only did he shoot 90 percent from the field, but the Timberwolves center recorded a season-high five blocked shots. After recording one triple-double in the previous three seasons combined, Randle has two in Minnesota’s first nine games of the 2025-26 campaign. He was responsible for seven turnovers on Friday, but this was the first game in which the Timberwolves’ forward had surpassed five. High-turnover nights of this caliber are unlikely to become the norm for Randle, so there’s no need for anyone to be concerned. Having started slowly to begin the season, Reid has shown signs of getting back on track. He’s scored 16 points or more in three of his last four outings, including a season-high 21 on Monday.
