Sabonis was one of several Kings players to have a rough night on Wednesday against Atlanta. Sabonis’ performance was one of the better, though — he led all starters in scoring and was the only starter to collect multiple steals. Still, he failed to make an impact on the glass, and the overall production was very insignificant for the veteran center, whose scoring has slipped to begin this season.

DeRozan logged one of his least productive games of the season on Wednesday — he set season lows in points, field-goal attempts, and minutes. To be fair to the veteran forward, there weren’t many positive takeaways for any of Sacramento’s main rotation players on a night in which they trailed by as many as 44 points at home before losing by 33. DeRozan will have a chance to bounce back against the Timberwolves on Friday.

With Malik Monk unavailable to play (ankle), Ellis saw additional opportunities in the blowout loss on Wednesday. All but two of his points came from behind the three-point line before he finished with a new season-high in points. Ellis used active hands to land a pair of steals, but otherwise, he didn’t find much production elsewhere. He may have another chance to produce and log heavy minutes, depending on Monk’s status for Friday’s game against the Timberwolves.

Rostered in 40 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Mitchell continues to provide top-50 fantasy value. With Luguentz Dort sidelined by a shoulder injury, the second-year guard should be rostered in 14-team leagues (and some 12-team leagues) until that changes. And Mitchell may be worth holding onto even after Dort and Jalen Williams return from their respective injuries.

Joe is among Oklahoma City’s “supporting cast” who have upped their production to help compensate for the absence of multiple contributors, including Jalen Williams and Luguentz Dort. He recorded his third 20-point game of the season on Wednesday, with the 21 points being one shy of his previous high. Rostered in 12 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Joe is among six Thunder players currently providing top-100 value in nine-cat formats. And with the Thunder ending its week with a game against the Hornets on Saturday, he makes for an intriguing deep-league streaming option.

At this point, you’re better off searching for the games in which SGA fails to reach 30 points. He already has 11 games of 30 points or more and is averaging 32.5 points per game. As expected, Gilgeous-Alexander is right there with Nikola Jokić and Victor Wembanyama in the race for the title of the best player in fantasy basketball. With Jalen Williams among the key players currently out due to injury, one would think that the Thunder would ask even more of their superstar point guard. However, they haven’t needed to, thanks to a combination of his efficient excellence and the supporting cast being stars in their roles as well.

Eubanks was outstanding on Tuesday, holding his own defensively and providing solid offensive value. The 19 points were a season-high, and the 6-foot-10 center has reached double figures in four of his last five games. That said, Eubanks has been most valuable when starting center Domantas Sabonis is unavailable or dealing with foul trouble. The latter issue limited Sabonis to 26 minutes on Tuesday, leaving the other 22 to Eubanks. And with Dennis Schröder struggling to find his way offensively, Westbrook played more against the Nuggets. Sabonis is doing all he can to fight through the rib contusion that sidelined him for two games last week. On Tuesday, he shared the team lead in scoring with backup Drew Eubanks and grabbed eight rebounds before fouling out. The 26 minutes Sabonis logged were the fewest in a game for him this season; in fact, this was the first game in which he did not hit 30 minutes. While his production has not matched his Yahoo! Gilgeous-Alexander needed only three quarters to drop 28 points, falling just shy of eclipsing the 30-point mark for the eighth consecutive contest. The reigning league MVP would’ve accomplished the feat had he not sat out the entire fourth quarter with the game in hand already. The defending NBA champions raced out to a commanding 63-44 halftime lead over the Warriors by shooting 53 percent from three-point range, knocking down eight of 15 from downtown. After attempting five shots and scoring nine points in Friday’s blowout loss to the Thunder, LaVine was far more involved offensively on Sunday. He’s scored at least 23 points in seven of his nine appearances, with the increased scoring propelling LaVine into the top-50 in eight- and nine-cat formats. After averaging 22.4 points in 32 appearances for the Kings last season, he’s averaged 25.2 points in 2025-26. Given the limited production outside of points and three-pointers, LaVine doesn’t have much margin for error, but scoring has rarely been an issue for him. The Kings play four games during Week 4, starting with Denver on Tuesday.

Traditionally a player whom fantasy managers could count on to approach top-50 value, DeRozan has not played to that standard thus far. While his scoring and three-point production were solid on Sunday, his point and assist averages have decreased compared to the 2024-25 numbers. With Zach LaVine in the fold for a full season and the Kings adding Dennis Schröder and Russell Westbrook as free agents, there are more options for DeRozan to contend with. And that doesn’t factor in the eventual return of Keegan Murray from a preseason thumb injury. DeRozan will still be a valuable option in standard leagues, but getting back to top-50 status will be challenging.

Sabonis was back on the floor after missing two games with a rib contusion. While there were times when his discomfort was visible, the Kings center played 30 minutes and recorded his seventh double-double in as many appearances. Sabonis struggled from the field on Sunday, as the Timberwolves were able to force him to play in a crowd consistently, but frequent trips to the foul line boosted the final point tally. Also, Sabonis attempted a season-high 17 shots, the second time he’s had at least 15 attempts. That level of activity may be required for Sabonis to meet his lofty Yahoo! ADP of 18. And it could be tough to pull off due to the other scorers in the Kings’ rotation.

While Schröder remained in the game, he was a shell of himself from that point onward. And with the Kings beginning Week 4 with a Tuesday/Wednesday back-to-back, this may impact Schröder’s availability. Holmgren has scored 20 points or more in just three games this season, including Sunday’s win in Memphis. The good news for fantasy managers is that his value isn’t derived solely from scoring. Despite getting off to a slow start, Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder were dominant in the second half. Sabonis is back after missing two games with a rib contusion, pushing Drew Eubanks to the bench. The other change to the starting lineup is surprising, with Achiuwa replacing Russell Westbrook.
