Carter has been diagnosed with a right shoulder contusion, according to a press release from the Kings. Still, the same report said he will be listed as questionable after missing the last two games. However, the rookie hasn’t played a significant role lately, and with the main rotation players all healthy, he won’t have a chance to take on extra minutes if he plays on Friday.

LaVine had a rough second half on Wednesday, shooting 1-of-7 from the field, and the Kings lost a game they could ill afford to lose in their quest to earn a play-in spot. While shooting 44.6 percent from the field over the past two weeks isn’t terrible, LaVine doesn’t have as much margin for error, fantasy-wise, due to his limited defensive production. During this stretch, he’s ranked outside the top 250 in nine-cat formats and the top 150 in eight-cat. Not only do the Kings need him to be better in their final two games of Week 22, but the same can be said for fantasy managers who have LaVine rostered.

As is usually the case, Sabonis again provided reliable value in points, rebounds and assists on Wednesday. Unfortunately, a combination of limited defensive production and poor foul shooting have made him a sixth-round player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. Sabonis has been a top-20 player in eight-cat formats for the season, which aligns with his Yahoo! ADP of 15. If anything, the additions of DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine may negatively impact how Sabonis is viewed in drafts next fall if the Kings keep this core together.

Usually fourth or fifth in the Kings’ offensive pecking order on most nights, Murray’s had to provide value in other areas. He finished Wednesday’s defeat with two steals and one blocked shot and has averaged 0.8 steals and 1.6 blocks over the past two weeks. That production is one of the reasons why he has offered top-25 value in nine-cat formats during this stretch. Shooting 50.5 percent from the field doesn’t hurt, but Murray’s willingness to consistently take on challenging defensive assignments has boosted his fantasy value after a slow start to the season.

After scoring 31 points in Monday’s loss to the Pacers, DeRozan put up another 29 on Wednesday. He’s scored at least 20 points in 11 of his last 12 outings, except a March 25 loss to Oklahoma City. Over the past month, DeRozan has provided eighth-round value in nine-cat formats. That’s three rounds lower than his season-long value, with slight dips in his defensive stats being a factor. Sacramento continues to hang around in the race for a play-in spot in the West, which ensures DeRozan will play starters’ minutes for the rest of Week 22.

For the fifth time in his career, Sharpe was able to score 30 points in a game, with four of those coming this season. This also ended up being the third double-double of his career. The 21-year-old has shown plenty of flashes through his first three seasons in the league, and he has really taken advantage of this recent stretch with Jerami Grant (knee) out of the lineup, which has allowed Sharpe to start. Grant hasn’t played a game in April since 2021, and that is unlikely to change this season, which means Sharpe’s spot should be safe for the rest of the season.

Only five players have recorded multiple 30-point triple-doubles this season: Nikola Jokic, LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic and now Avdija. About a month after recording the first triple-double of his career, Avdija added a second one in a dominant performance against Atlanta. He has truly enjoyed a breakout season, though the start to the year was slow. This recent stretch has been his best with averages of 27.1 points, 10.9 rebounds, six assists, 1.6 steals and 3.3 three-pointers per game over the past two weeks. He will be an intriguing option heading into fantasy drafts next season.

With both Anfernee Simons (forearm) and Scoot Henderson (concussion) sidelined against Atlanta, Banton got the starting nod at point guard. DeRozan entered this game having scored at least 20 points in nine of his last 10 games without ever reaching 30 points, but he was able to achieve that mark in Monday’s loss. This was just DeMar’s fourth 30-point game since the All-Star break, but Sacramento has now lost six of their last seven games. They now hold a one-game lead over the Suns for the final play-in spot, but their next two games are against Washington and Charlotte, which should give them some breathing room. Playing against his former team, Sabonis had a great matchup with Thomas Bryant starting in place of Myles Turner, who was sidelined with an illness. Sabonis took advantage of the matchup, but his team did not. Sacramento is now 1-4 since Sabonis returned, though he has grabbed at least 12 rebounds in each game. Unfortunately, he failed to record an assist despite playing 40 minutes. This was the fifth time in his career that he played at least 30 minutes and didn’t dish out at least one dime. This was Monk’s third game back from a three-game absence, and he remained in a reserve role for a third-straight game after being a consistent starter since December. He has really struggled since returning from an illness, and that continued in this game. He was able to somewhat make up for a terrible shooting performance with some rebound and assist production, but overall, it was another poor night as a reserve. While his defensive production was muted on Sunday, Camara shot the ball well against the Knicks after struggling against the Kings on Thursday. The second-year wing has reached double figures in seven of his last eight games and is ranked just outside the top 50 in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. LaVine had a brutal afternoon in Orlando. While the field goal percentage wasn’t terrible, Saturday’s loss was the third game this month in which he’s failed to crack double digits in attempts. Add in five turnovers, and Saturday was a day to forget for fantasy managers that have LaVine rostered. And over the past two weeks, he’s ranked outside the top 250 in nine-cat formats. Sabonis has reached double figures in rebounds in four straight games, including three double-doubles. Over the past two weeks, Sabonis is ranked just inside the top 100 in eight-cat formats and has only been a 12th-round player in nine-cat. This game was all about buckets for LaVine, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing at this point. Outside of the two rebounds he grabbed, he didn’t contribute any non-points value for fantasy managers. However, he scored less than 20 points in each of Sacramento’s last four games, and he was incredibly efficient with his shot on Thursday. Sure, it would be nice if he did more than score, but he won’t put up goose eggs in nearly every other category like he did in this game often. DeRozan’s streak of seven consecutive games with 20 points or more came to a screeching halt on Tuesday. The 10 points were the fewest since December 22, when he scored a season-low two in a loss to the Pacers. The good news for fantasy managers is that DeRozan recorded decent numbers in the rebound and assist categories, minimizing some of the damage done by a 4-of-15 night from the field.
