Sarr wasn’t particularly efficient with 24 points on 19 field goal attempts, but he did lead the Wizards in scoring on Saturday. The 20-year-old center has been excellent on the defensive end, though, as he recorded at least one steal and at least one block for the third consecutive game. Sarr has provided eighth-round per game value over the last two weeks. The Wizards have a four-game week coming up, beginning against the Trail Blazers on Tuesday.

Khris Middleton missed Saturday’s game with a foot injury with Will Riley replacing him in the starting lineup. Champagnie outplayed Riley, though, and ended up playing more minutes off the bench. The 24-year-old shooting guard had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds in 32 minutes. The Kings starters weren’t getting the job done in this game, and head coach Doug Christie quickly turned to the reserves. That allowed Schröder to have his first 20-point game in over a month. Schröder has been a solid reserve for the Kings this year, but that hasn’t been enough for him to be worth rostering in most fantasy formats. Still, he’s more than capable of producing, as he reminded us in this game.

Sabonis’ first three games back after an extended absence were rather quiet. His minutes were limited and so was his production. However, he still come off the bench in this game, but he was far more productive in 31 minutes as a reserve in this game. Though the inefficient shooting remained, it has been a strong stretch of games for George. He is averaging 21 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.2 triples over his last five games. Carrington remained in the starting lineup for a fourth straight game, and while he was inefficient, he was able to pour in more counting stats. This time, it was the defensive production that set him apart. Carrington’s never been a great source of steals and blocks, but he was able to provide an unexpected boost in this game. While Monk still hasn’t reached the point where he can be considered in some 12-team leagues, the good news is that he’s getting consistent rotation minutes. He’s played at least 19 minutes in seven of his last eight appearances, a stretch in which Monk’s shot 50.6 percent from the field. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been much defensive production, which limits Monk’s fantasy potential. For whatever reason, Kings head coach Doug Christie has essentially decided that only one of Monk or Keon Ellis (DNP-CD) can be in the rotation on any given night. It has been Monk’s turn recently, but that could change at any time.

The good is that Sarr shot the ball well from the field and was active on the glass. The bad was that he had a brutal night at the foul line and did not record any steals or blocked shots. Saturday’s game was the best for George since returning from the hip injury that sidelined him for seven games. The 29 points were the most in a game for him since Washington’s second game of the season, and he was also effective setting up others. Westbrook fell one point shy of matching his season high for points, but it was the efficiency of his shooting that made this performance so good.
