Garrett is on a 10-day contract and may have already played his last game with Charlotte, and Salaun hasn’t played since March 8. Charlotte will be sorely shorthanded in this one, so the Hornets’ available players will be forced to handle additional minutes.

Williams and Ball both played in Thursday’s win over the Knicks, so it’s no surprise that the pair will sit out the second leg of Charlotte’s back-to-back set. Jusuf Nurkic should slide into the starting five in place of Williams, while Ball’s vacated minutes will be picked up by some combination of Nick Smith Jr., DaQuan Jeffries and Seth Curry.

After really struggling in Charlotte’s blowout loss to Atlanta on Tuesday, Williams got back to providing dominant big man stats against New York. This was the sixth-straight game that he has played in, and he has recorded a double-double in five of them. Charlotte plays the second night of a back-to-back on Friday, which means that Williams is almost a guarantee to sit out. Moussa Diabate and Jusuf Nurkic will split the minutes at center against Oklahoma City, which isn’t an easy matchup for opposing bigs.

Bridges was given a rest night on Tuesday against Atlanta, but he was listed as probable with an illness for this game, so perhaps that was the issue on Tuesday. There is a chance that the illness played a role in Bridges’ poor shooting night, and it ended up being the second-straight subpar shooting night for him after an excellent stretch. Charlotte still has two more games this week, including the second night of a back-to-back on Friday.

Ball missed Tuesday’s game against Atlanta, but he was back against New York. He had some foul trouble that limited his minutes in this game, but he was still able to lead Charlotte in scoring and help them get a surprisingly big win over one of the top teams in the East. This was the first night of a back-to-back, and the Hornets also play on Sunday. If Ball is available for the remainder of the week, he’ll continue to produce elite value. However, there is a real chance that he sits out on Friday with his wrist ailment.

Diabate had to be helped off the court on Tuesday and wasn’t able to put any weight on his leg after injuring his knee on Tuesday. Two days later, he’ll be good to go. That means he’ll continue to split the center minutes with Jusuf Nurkic off the bench. Mark Williams should sit out the second night of the back-to-back on Friday, which makes Diabate’s availability interesting. Charlotte could have opted to stagger their availability, though this could mean that Diabate will play both legs of the back-to-back despite the injury.

San Antonio decided to go small on Wednesday, with Sochan replacing Bismack Biyombo (four points and four rebounds in 10 minutes) in the starting lineup. While it did not work to slow Karl-Anthony Towns, who scored 31 points, the Spurs neutralized the other Knicks starters. Sochan has reached double figures in his last five outings, but he’s ranked well outside the top 200 in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. However, he’ll have a higher ceiling if interim coach Mitch Johnson sticks with Sochan at the five.

Castle has scored 22 points or more in three of his last four outings, continuing to strengthen his case for Rookie of the Year. Over the past two weeks, the Spurs guard has averaged 19.4 points per game. Unfortunately for fantasy managers, limited production outside of points, rebounds and assists has limited Castle’s ceiling. However, the current situation in San Antonio makes him a player who must be rostered in standard leagues for the stretch run.

Born in New York City and an alumnus of Seton Hall, Mamukelashvili had the best night of his NBA career on Wednesday. According to Justin Russo, he became the first player in NBA history to record at least 34 points and five rebounds in fewer than 20 minutes. While Mamukelashvili has rarely been a fantasy asset, he’s the kind of player who can emerge during the “silly season.” And with the Spurs playing two lottery-bound teams (Philadelphia and Toronto) to end Week 20, it would be unsurprising if Mamu could provide consistent value.

The Spurs have replaced Bismack Biyombo at the center position with Sochan. Smaller, more athletic defenders tend to give Karl-Anthony Towns more trouble, which is likely why Sochan is in the lineup. This change raises Sochan’s fantasy ceiling, but he remains a late-round option at best.

Curry moved into the starting lineup on Tuesday, as the Hornets were without Miles Bridges. The veteran guard had a good night shooting the ball, as he made over 50 percent of his attempts from the field and connected on four three-pointers. Baugh was recalled from the G League to start for LaMelo Ball, who sat out Tuesday’s game with a right wrist injury. Baugh’s rebound and assist production was solid, and he’ll be worth streaming whenever Ball misses games. Paul continues to provide valuable leadership for the Spurs, and he finished Monday’s defeat with eight assists. However, the playing time has decreased. Paul has not surpassed 25 minutes in any of his last six appearances and hasn’t played 30 or more since February 25. With Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox out for the rest of the season and Paul’s minutes decreasing, it’s fair to wonder if he’ll be shut down at some point. Due to the nature of Sunday’s game, which the Hornets lost by a 123-88 final score, Williams only played 25 minutes. However, that did not prevent him from providing excellent value for those who have him rostered.
