With Harrison Barnes shut down at halftime, Mamukelashvili started the second half of Friday’s game. The 2021 second-round pick had a productive night, shooting over 50 percent from the field and finishing one block shy of a complete stat line. Since Barnes is looking to play all 82 games, he’ll likely start Sunday’s game against the Raptors. But there should still be plenty of playing time available to Mamukelashvili, who can provide value in those situations.

The betting favorite for Rookie of the Year honors, Castle finished Friday’s defeat with his sixth double-double. He also only committed two turnovers, efficiently making plays for his teammates. Chris Paul (one assist and two blocks) only played 14 minutes on Friday; his focus is on playing all 82 games. If a similar approach is taken for Sunday’s season finale against the Raptors, Castle will again spend more time as the Spurs’ primary playmaker.

Champagnie started Friday’s game as Devin Vassell was out with a sore left ankle. Add in Harrison Barnes (two points, five rebounds and one assist) only playing 15 minutes, and there was ample room for Champagnie to put up numbers. He’s scored 20 points or more in four games this season, one more than his first two NBA seasons combined. While Barnes will likely start Sunday’s season finale against the Raptors, his minutes will likely be limited since the goal is to play all 82 games. That raises Champagnie’s ceiling, especially if Vassell remains out.

Despite having secured the East’s top seed for the playoffs, the Cavaliers went all-out with their four available starters on Friday. Mobley, who did not play in Thursday’s loss to the Pacers, logged 35 minutes and recorded his 36th double-double in the comeback win over New York. He finished the 2023-24 campaign with 22 double-doubles and has benefitted from the Cavaliers making him more of an offensive focal point. Cleveland ends its regular season on Sunday against the Pacers; we’ll see how much Mobley and the other starters play.

Strus was one of three Cavaliers starters who returned to the lineup after sitting out Thursday’s loss to the Pacers. He shot 5-of-12 from three on the night, including three makes during the fourth quarter. Strus’s fantasy value is limited to that of a specialist since he shares the court with four standouts ahead of him in the offensive pecking order. However, he can be helpful to fantasy managers needing three-pointers, rebounds and the occasional defensive stats. Strus and the Cavaliers host the Pacers in their regular-season finale on Sunday, and the outcome will not impact either team’s playoff seeding.

As he did in Cleveland’s win at Madison Square Garden on October 28, Garland took over during the fourth quarter on Friday. The All-Star point guard shot 6-of-6 from the field in the final frame, with five of the makes occurring in the restricted area. Garland’s charge helped Cleveland complete their rally from a 23-point deficit to win a game that had no impact on their seeding for the upcoming playoffs. With Sunday’s opponent, Indiana, also locked into its seed, fantasy managers should not expect to see Garland playing 30-plus minutes in the regular-season finale.

Mitchell sprained his left ankle during the third quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Kings. While he did return later in the quarter, there’s no reason for the Cavaliers not to give their star guard a night off. Sam Merrill was Mitchell’s replacement the last time he missed a game, which may be the case on Tuesday. While this would boost Merrill’s fantasy value slightly, he is not a must-stream player.

Vassell has snapped out of his recent mini-slump, scoring 45 points across his last two appearances. Over the past two weeks, he has been a top-60 player in nine-cat formats, by far the Spurs’ most valuable option in category leagues. However, with the Spurs officially eliminated from postseason contention, it’s fair to wonder if Vassell’s minutes will decrease during the season’s final week. If so, that would be bad news for Vassell managers whose leagues will be active.

However, efficiency remains an issue, with the rookie shooting 40.5 percent from the field over the past two weeks. Add in an average of three turnovers per game and limited defensive production, and Castle is ranked well outside the top-150 in eight- and nine-cat formats. That said, Castle is worth the risk despite those issues since his availability is not an issue.

The six “stocks” were the most Mobley has recorded in a game since November 27, when he tallied four steals and three blocks in a win over the Hawks. Over the past two weeks, Mobley has been a top-25 player in eight- and nine-cat formats, providing increased value at the right time for managers whose leagues ended on Sunday. For those whose leagues are active during Week 23, Mobley and the Cavaliers are scheduled to play four games.

Sunday’s game was the first for Jerome since March 25, as a knee injury sidelined him for five games. The Cavaliers’ reserve guard showed no signs of rust against the Kings and has scored 20 points or more in 12 games this season. That’s double Jerome’s total in the first five seasons of his NBA career. While the mainstream conversation regarding the Most Improved Player award has focused on Cade Cunningham, Jerome is one of the under-discussed players whose name should come up more.

The 20-year-old shooting guard was just one rebound away from a triple-double after he finished just one assist away from a triple-double Wednesday against the Nuggets. Mobley’s tour de force season continued Friday as he had a huge game against the Spurs. The 23-year-old center had 25 points on just 13 shots including four made three-pointers. Mobley also grabbed 12 boards and dished out five assists. He also showed up on defense with a steal and three blocks. It was quite a game for Mobley, who has been a top-30 fantasy player over the last three weeks.

The 32-year-old small forward has moved up the pecking order on offense due to the multitude of injuries that the Spurs have had to deal with, which included Devin Vassell, Jeremy Sochan and Keldon Johnson on against Denver. He has put together two consecutive strong performances, and he should continue to be a top scoring option for San Antonio. However, his inconsistent production and lack of contributions in other categories make him a difficult player to rely on in fantasy hoops.

Champagnie struggled from three-point land as he went 2-of-9 from distance, compared to 5-of-9 against Orlando on Tuesday. Champagnie is merely a streaming option when the Spurs are missing a starter.

While Garland’s final stat line would not be described as elite, it was a performance he and those who have him rostered needed. In his three prior appearances, the Cavaliers guard shot 34.8 percent from the field and averaged 16.7 points per game. Garland was considerably more efficient against the Knicks, and fantasy managers will also take the six assists. He’ll look to build on this performance when the Cavaliers visit the lottery-bound Spurs on Friday.

The Cavaliers center has surpassed the 20-point mark in three of his last four outings, shooting an incredible 85.4 percent from the field. Over the past week, Allen has been ranked just outside the top 25 in nine-cat per-game value. Sidekick Evan Mobley was solid on Wednesday, finishing with 13 points, four rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and one three-pointer. Allen’s production carried the night, moving the Cavaliers one game closer to locking down home-court advantage throughout the Eastern Conference playoffs.

The 39-year-old recorded a complete stat line on Tuesday, with the three steals being the most he’s had in a game since before the All-Star break. Over the past two weeks, Paul has been a top-100 player in eight-cat formats while sitting just outside that threshold in nine-cat. Back-to-backs have not been an issue, so expect to see Paul on the court Wednesday night in Denver.
