The Spurs were already locked into their playoff seed and Fox wasn’t having an efficient game, but he still played 33 minutes in the regular season finale. San Antonio still managed to lose the game to a Nuggets team that played Nikola Jokic fewer than 20 minutes. Fox still had a good game, adding in rebounds, assists and a block, which he tends to do when Victor Wembanyama is out. In his first full season with the Spurs, Fox has provided seventh-round per game value.

The clear betting favorite for Sixth Man of the Year, Johnson was able to turn in another strong performance in this game. He still isn’t a great option in category leagues; he simply doesn’t produce in enough categories consistently. However, he has had his most efficient season this year and has been a reliable scoring option off the bench for San Antonio all season long. He has yet to miss a game, so he may suit up for the season finale despite the Spurs already locked in as the second seed in the West.

With Stephon Castle sidelined for this game, Fox stepped up as a playmaker and recorded his first double-double in over a month. Fox is still capable of producing at a high level, but he hasn’t been as aggressive as a scorer this season. The younger guards have stepped up, but Fox reminded us in this game that he can still facilitate at a high level. This type of performance was great to see with the playoffs a little over a week away.

Edgecombe continues to stuff the stat sheet in a way that few rookies typically do. He did a little bit of everything in this game to help the 76ers end a three-game losing streak. Edgecombe has taken on a large role during his first year in the league, and he’ll need to continue to make large contributions to help the 76ers make it out of the play-in tournament. Though it wasn’t his most efficient shooting night, Maxey was able to have a strong scoring performance to help Philadelphia snap a three-game losing streak. It was also great to see Maxey have his first 30-point game since before his 10-game absence with a finger injury. With Joel Embiid (appendicitis) set to miss some time, Maxey will have to take on even more responsibility on the offensive end to carry the 76ers through the play-in tournament. Edgecombe did many things well against Houston. He was productive from the three-point line as a scorer, but also was the lead table setter for the Sixers’ offense. And on the defensive end, the rookie guard had active hands in coming up with a pair of steals, helping round out a balanced overall performance. Edgecombe has had a very good rookie season and should only become more productive as his career lengthens.

Maxey played 33 minutes against the Rockets and finished as Philadelphia’s leading scorer. The versatile combo guard used the three-point shot to find most of his production on Thursday, while also making some contributions as a passer. With no Victor Wembanyama for Wednesday’s game, Bryant effectively served as the backup center against the Trail Blazers. And the look caused the visitors some trouble defensively, with the rookie forward stepping out to shoot 5-of-6 from beyond the arc. Harper was one of two replacements in the Spurs’ starting lineup for Wednesday’s game, filling the void left by Stephon Castle (knee). And the rookie had a solid night overall, recording a complete stat line in 33 minutes. The lone negative was the turnover count, as Harper was responsible for five. That said, young players are going to have nights like that on occasion. No Victor Wembanyama or Stephon Castle for Wednesday’s game meant more scoring opportunities for Fox, whose 20 shot attempts were the most in a game for him since a March 5 win over the Pistons. And the Spurs’ guard was efficient, shooting 50 percent from the field. Fox’s turnover count was a tad high, as he was responsible for four, but he finished with an assist-to-turnover ratio of nearly 2-to-1. The Spurs are locked into the second seed in the West, so they may use Fox a little less than usual in the final two regular-season games.

Wemby was dialed in early in this game, shooting the ball efficiently while providing his usual presence on the defensive end. Maxey logged 40 minutes on Monday but recorded an underwhelming final stat line. In his lowest-scoring game in over two months, inefficient shooting both inside and outside the arc was a big factor.
