Mobley returned from a one-game absence and turned in a 9/6/4 line on 3-of-10 shooting against the Pistons. He bounced back in a big way on Sunday, hitting 8-of-16 shots, including 3-of-6 from beyond the arc, and delivering some quality peripheral contributions. He and the Cavs get a brief respite before returning to the court for Wednesday’s primetime showdown with the Knicks.

Mitchell finished behind only Jarrett Allen (25) for team lead in scoring, and he tied Allen in rebounds and Darius Garland in assists. Spida has been tremendous across his last three. He delivered a double-double with 14 assists against the Spurs, dropped 38 against the Pistons and compiled a double-double with rebounds as Cleveland became the first team in the Eastern Conference with 60 wins. He’ll look to keep up his stellar play when the Cavs face the Knicks in a heavyweight bout on Wednesday. Fantasy managers should note that Cleveland plays only three games next week.

Markkanen last appeared in a game on March 17, while Monday’s game will be the second that Kessler has missed. Their absences mean Oscar Tshiebwe and Kyle Filipowski will likely remain in the starting lineup, and both are worth rostering in deep leagues. Tyson is not usually in the Cavaliers’ rotation when he is healthy, so his continued absence will not impact fantasy basketball. However, Jerome’s absence will have a noticeable impact on Cleveland’s bench. Craig Porter Jr. will play rotation minutes, but there isn’t much to gain from rostering him in most leagues. Look for De’Andre Hunter’s offense to be of greater importance with Jerome unavailable.

Sexton has scored 20 points or more in two straight and three of his last five appearances. However, he did not provide much value outside of points on Friday, shooting 1-of-4 from beyond the arc. Sexton scored while backcourt partner Isaiah Collier did the passing, as the rookie finished with three points, three rebounds, seven assists and one steal in 32 minutes. Sexton will be worth rostering as long as he’s available, but fantasy managers must be ready to pivot if that changes.

Rostered in 29 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Filipowski has offered 11th-round value in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. While that isn’t excellent fantasy value, the situation in Utah is such that the rookie big is one of the few players who can be relied upon. Filipowski has scored 13 points or more in four straight outings and has hit double figures in rebounds six times since February 28. The Jazz won’t play again during Week 21, but they have four games on the Week 22 schedule.

Walker Kessler did not play in Friday’s game, resulting in Tshiebwe making his first start as a pro. While the second-year center did not have the best night shooting-wise, going 2-of-5 from the field, he did reach double figures in rebounds for the fourth time this season. Depending on Kessler’s availability, Tshiebwe will have more opportunities before the season ends. However, he still isn’t worth the risk in most fantasy leagues.

Garland finished with just 10 points on 4-of-15 shooting in Thursday’s win over the Spurs, but he bounced back nicely on the second leg of Cleveland’s back-to-back set. George bounced back from two ugly games where he was a combined 2-of-15 from the field and combined for only 14 points. The 21-year-old point guard topped those numbers with 17 points on 11 shots Thursday against the Rockets. He also dished out eight assists and now has at least seven assists in three of his last four games. George, who is shooting just under 40 percent from the field this year, is due for some ups and downs with his field-goal percentage as that part of his game still needs more work.

Sexton was hardly efficient on his 20 shots and was a -15 in 32 minutes in the Jazz’ 11-point loss. The 26-year-old shooting guard has been mostly quiet in March, averaging 17.4 points per game and with one 30-point effort against the Celtics on March 21. Sexton’s fantasy value is mostly tied to his status as a starter for Utah. It’s a fairly unexciting profile otherwise.

Hunter didn’t move into the starting unit in place of Evan Mobley, who got a rest night on Thursday, but he did end up providing value off the bench. After playing 22-23 minutes over Cleveland’s three previous games, Hunter played 31 minutes against San Antonio, which allowed him to have one of his best rebounding performances as a Cavalier and set a new high for steals since being traded to Cleveland. The bar wasn’t high, but it was a nice bonus for a player that typically doesn’t contribute many defensive stats despite being known as a strong defender.

Cleveland has been rotating members of its “core four” to get rest nights, which has opened the door for Strus to take on a larger role offensively. He was quiet over their last three games, but he was able to provide a scoring punch on Thursday. Coming off the best season of his career, Strus has quietly been better in a smaller role. His minutes, points and assists are all down, but his three-pointers are about the same, and his shooting percentages have improved. They’re too deep for Strus to need to play 32 minutes per game again, but it should give them confidence in him heading into the postseason.

It has been a rough few weeks for Mitchell, and there was plenty of concern about both him and the Cavaliers as a team. Despite their incredible season, a four-game losing streak had them looking a little exposed. Since then, they’ve won three games in a row, and Mitchell was back to playing at an elite level in this one. His 14 dimes were a new season-high, eclipsing his 11 assists that he had in a game last week. This was the first night of a back-to-back, so keep an eye on Friday’s injury report to see if Mitchell gets the night off.

It took a half of basketball for Cleveland to figure out the mismatch they had down low. Even with Evan Mobley (rest) sidelined, San Antonio had no answer for Allen. Bismack Biyombo, Sandro Mamukelashvili and Jeremy Sochan simply had no answer for Allen in the paint. He only had two points at halftime, but he was able to put up 27 points and haul in 10 rebounds after the break. His point total in the second half would’ve been enough to tie his season-high for scoring. It was a dominant performance for Allen, but he won’t get this favorable of a matchup often.

Clarkson has dealt with plantar fasciitis in his left foot for much of this season, most recently missing Utah’s March 25 loss to the Grizzlies. The Jazz announced Thursday that he underwent a medical procedure to address the issue and will not play again this season. Mobley matched his season-high in blocks on Tuesday, and he’s recorded multiple rejections in three straight games for the first time since mid-February. Over the past two weeks, the Cavaliers’ big man has been a top-30 player in nine-cat formats. While Jarrett Allen (14 points, nine rebounds, two assists and one block in 27 minutes) continues to provide reliable fantasy value, Mobley has emerged as the team’s top frontcourt option this season. And that won’t change anytime soon.

Garland shouldered more of the scoring workload on Tuesday due to Donovan Mitchell being out. The good news for those with the point guard rostered is that the lineup change did not negatively impact his efficiency. Garland shot over 50 percent from the field and finished with a 2-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. Over the past month, he has provided fifth-round value in eight-cat formats. The Cavaliers held out Donovan Mitchell (groin) on Tuesday, resulting in Merrill joining the starting lineup. As expected, he provided solid value in the points and three-point categories, and the few managers who streamed Merrill aren’t complaining about the three assists, either. Cleveland won Sunday’s game by outscoring Utah 37-19 in the third quarter, but Mitchell was only needed for 21 minutes. That may be the most significant concern for fantasy managers still competing in their leagues. Cleveland has a comfortable lead in the Eastern Conference. Allen and the Cavaliers started slowly on Sunday, but a 37-19 third quarter was enough to put the game in the bag. And this was a much-needed effort from Allen, who scored 24 points in the previous three games. While the recent downtick in scoring hasn’t helped, foul shooting has been the more impactful issue for Allen recently. Ranked outside the top 100 in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past two weeks, the Cavaliers post is an ice cold 58.3 percent from the foul line in that stretch.
