Curry banged knees with a player during Friday’s loss to the Pistons, aggravating a case of “runner’s knee” that has lingered for a bit. Thursday’s game will be the second that he’s missed. Gui Santos played reasonably well as Curry’s replacement in the lineup for Tuesday’s loss to the 76ers, but Golden State’s offensive struggles in the 113-94 defeat will likely prompt other changes to the lineup.

Live did not play in Tuesday’s win over the Pacers. If he’s available for Thursday night, there’s no guarantee that the veteran forward/center will play. Starting center Jusuf Nurkić was available on Tuesday but never saw the floor, with Kyle Filipowski playing heavy minutes. Of the rotation bigs on the Jazz roster, Filipowski is the only one who fantasy managers can feel safe slotting into their lineups.

For Cleveland, this trade is about freeing up salary cap space. And with the team acquiring James Harden, Keon Ellis and Dennis Schröder this week, there was not going to be room for Ball in the rotation. Given Utah’s youth and the presence of Keyonte George and Isaiah Collier on the roster, it’s unsurprising that the Jazz are expected to waive Ball, which would allow him to be an unrestricted free agent.

Moody played just 20 minutes in the blowout loss against the 76ers. The 23-year-old had scored at least 19 points in two of his last for games entering play Tuesday, but had just 12 points Tuesday. The Warriors won’t have Stephen Curry for Tuesday’s game, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. Santos will fill the void, which shifts Podziemski and Moody up a position. Santos isn’t worth the streaming risk in most leagues, but playing time should not be an issue for him on Tuesday.

Collier was in the Jazz starting lineup for Tuesday’s game, as Keyonte George was ruled out. The second-year guard took advantage of his opportunity, racking up a career-high 22 assists while committing just two turnovers. Collier doesn’t offer the best value as a scorer, but managers looking for assists and steals should consider him for the “silly season.” And with Utah trading Walter Clayton Jr. on Tuesday as part of the Jaren Jackson Jr. deal, playing time should not be a concern for Collier after the All-Star break.

While Jusuf Nurkić was made available for Tuesday’s game, he never played. While that was an infuriating development for those who have the veteran center rostered, that was good news for those who have Filipowski. The second-year forward/center recorded a double-double, with the 16 rebounds being two shy of his career-high. Even with the Jazz adding Jaren Jackson Jr. via trade, the clear focus for the rest of the season is to do what they can to hold onto their top-8 protected lottery pick. That means playing time should not be a concern for Filipowski, especially after the All-Star break.

Since New Year’s Day, Sensabaugh has scored at least 20 points in eight games. He hasn’t been the best option for managers competing in category leagues, but the third-year wing is worth the list for those competing in points leagues. On a day when the Jazz added Jaren Jackson Jr. to the fold, Markkanen provided a reminder of what the rebuilding team already has. The Jazz forward was efficient on offense, doing his damage in 27 minutes on a night when Utah only played seven players. This deal is likely not the last one for either side, as the Jazz will pick up more frontcourt depth, and the Grizzlies may look to blow things up and move on from JJJ and Ja Morant. We’ll have to wait for the dust to settle, but for now, Jackson Jr.'s scoring and rebounding may take a hit, as he’ll no longer be the top offensive weapon. Nurkić sat out Friday’s loss to the Nets with an illness, but was back on the court Sunday. The 31-year-old center saw his streak of three triple-doubles in a row end in Wednesday’s loss to the Warriors, but bounced back with a double-double against the Raptors Sunday. He’s provided fifth-round per game value over the last two weeks. While his fantasy value appears solid, Nurkić is one that could lose value on the Jazz once silly season begins and the team starts looking at giving younger players more playing time.

Markkanen’s 27 points were a game-high, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Jazz to a win Sunday against the Raptors. The 28-year-old power forward returned from a rest day Friday, but wasn’t very efficient with his 27 points coming on 23 field goal attempts, which included a 2-of-9 showing from behind the three-point line. Melton had another excellent shooting night off the bench Friday. The 27-year-old shooting guard has now been in double figures in nine of his last 11 games. Curry left Friday’s game against the Pistons in the third quarter with right knee soreness and didn’t return, but his coach didn’t seem too concerned about it postgame. Kerr told reporters he doesn’t think the injury is anything major, though it’s been nagging the 37-year-old point guard for the past week. The Warriors will have a more official update on Curry’s status Saturday, but it seems more like an injury he’ll have to manage than something that could keep him sidelined for an extended period. After sitting out Monday’s loss to the Timberwolves, Horford was back in the starting lineup on Wednesday. Having started the last two games that he’s been available for, it’s fair to wonder if Horford will be able to hold onto the job for a bit. He provided good value in that role on Wednesday, recording a complete stat line that included eight assists and three blocks. Quentin Post (10/6/2 with two three-pointers) had a good night off the bench, but Horford has a higher ceiling because of his abilities as a facilitator and defender.

GSW • Power Forward • #15

Of the eight Warriors who finished Wednesday’s victory in double figures, five were reserves. That includes Santos, whose 16 points were three shy of his career-high. And while Golden State did lead by as much as 27, his production can’t be credited solely to the game getting out of hand. There’s no need to add Santos after Wednesday’s performance, but this may inspire some confidence among deep-league managers the next time that Golden State is shorthanded.

Recording his first 20-point game in nearly two weeks, Moody had one of his best games of the season on Wednesday. The 26 points were the most he’s tallied in a game since November 16, when the Warriors’ guard dropped a season-high 32. With Jimmy Butler (knee) done for the rest of the season, the Warriors will need increased production from the supporting cast, including Moody. Post logged 28 minutes in the Warriors’ blowout loss to the Wolves and finished as Golden State’s leading scorer. He was one of five starters to score in double figures, with his three-point production leading the way. Santos got the start for a depleted Warriors team on Monday and was one of their most productive players. In his 26 minutes, he crashed the glass hard to reach double figures in rebounds, and was the only Warriors player to notch at least one block and steal apiece. Inefficient shooting, especially from beyond the arc, prevented his scoring total from being higher. Yet, he made it out of single digits and tallied his first double-double of the season.
