The Rockets are without Dillon Brooks, who picked up his 16th technical foul of the season in Wednesday’s win over the Jazz. Adams will fill his spot in the starting lineup as the Rockets match up with Oklahoma City’s tandem of Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein. Even with Adams receiving the starting nod, Tari Eason should play plenty off the bench.

Kessler played on Wednesday after missing Utah’s two previous games with an illness. However, he is now listed as out due to a nasal fracture that also has him in concussion protocols. With 10 days left in the regular season, it wouldn’t be surprising if Kessler didn’t suit up again this season. KJ Martin should return to the starting lineup, with Kyle Filipowski sliding over to center.

Brooks was whistled for a technical foul with 7:12 remaining in the first quarter when he kicked Collin Sexton in the stomach after being stripped of the basketball. That was his 16th of the season, which triggers an automatic one-game suspension, unless the league overturns the call. While this wasn’t Bruce Lee vs. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in “Game of Death,” it’s doubtful Brooks receives the benefit of the doubt. Managers shouldn’t expect to see him on the court on Friday when the Rockets host the Thunder. That could keep Tari Eason in the starting lineup, even if Fred VanVleet returns from his ankle injury.

Sengun finished one assist shy of a triple-double on Wednesday as he helped the Rockets clinch their first playoff berth since the Orlando bubble in 2020. Over the past two weeks, the Rockets center has provided seventh-round in eight- and nine-cat formats. While Sengun has not met his Yahoo! After shooting 4-of-13 from the field and scoring nine points in Monday’s loss to the Lakers, Green took advantage of an overmatched opponent and got back on track on Wednesday. He’s scored 20 points or more in 10 of his last 12 outings, but the two exceptions have been poor. The good news for fantasy managers is that the highs have outweighed the lows, with Green providing top-75 value in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past three weeks. Houston’s final two games of Week 22, Oklahoma City at home and Golden State on the road, will be far more challenging for Green and the Rockets.

With Fred VanVleet (ankle) unavailable, Eason made his 15th start of the season on Wednesday. As has often been the case, he recorded a quality stat line for category league managers who have him rostered. Eason’s fantasy value over the past two weeks hasn’t been great, but he’s ranked safely within the top 100 in eight- and nine-cat formats for the season. Also, another start could be in the cards for Tari, as Dillon Brooks picked up his 16th technical foul, which triggers a one-game suspension. Houston hosts Oklahoma City on Friday.

After a two-game absence, Kessler returned to the Jazz lineup and played 28 minutes on Wednesday. He did fill out the stat sheet, which, unfortunately, included a 1-of-5 night at the foul line. The inconsistent availability has negatively impacted Kessler’s fantasy value, as he’s ranked well outside the top 150 in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. Of course, fantasy managers who have him rostered aren’t going to drop Kessler, nor should they. That said, Kyle Filipowski has been far more reliable recently, and he’s only rostered in 39 percent of Yahoo! leagues. The rookie struggled on Wednesday, shooting 3-of-14 from the field and dropping a 6/11/1/2/2 line, but he’s provided ninth-round value over the past two weeks.

Sexton returned to the Jazz lineup after missing Monday’s loss to the Hornets and was solid in his 24 minutes on the court. While he’s still rostered in 77 percent of Yahoo! leagues, the issue for fantasy managers is that the Jazz essentially know what they have in Sexton. As a result, he’s not playing starters’ minutes despite being in the starting lineup. Johnny Juzang, bumped to the bench with Sexton back in the lineup, finished Wednesday’s defeat with five points, two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one three-pointer in 23 minutes, shooting 2-of-11 from the field.

Sure, there aren’t many positives to take from a 143-105 defeat. However, Collier’s performance was arguably his best of the season. Not only did the rookie shoot over 50 percent from the field and score 22 points, but he also dished out 10 assists and did not commit a turnover. With Collier committing at least four turnovers in four of his previous five appearances, this was a welcome performance from the first-round pick out of USC. Given how Jazz coach Will Hardy has handled the minutes, it appears the team feels better about Collier at the point than 2023 first-round pick Keyonte George. George has not started a game since January 22, and he finished Wednesday’s loss with 14 points, one rebound and three three-pointers in 27 minutes.

Sengun bounced back after missing three free-throw attempts Sunday against the Suns to make all four of his free throws against the Lakers Monday. The 22-year-old center had an otherwise solid, but unspectacular effort. He only committed two turnovers, which has also been an issue for him. Filipowski got another start with Walker Kessler and Lauri Markkanen out against the Hornets Monday. The 21-year-old power forward was hardly efficient on offense, going 2-of-8 from behind the three-point line.
