Live did not play in Tuesday’s win over the Pacers. If he’s available for Thursday night, there’s no guarantee that the veteran forward/center will play. Starting center Jusuf Nurkić was available on Tuesday but never saw the floor, with Kyle Filipowski playing heavy minutes. Of the rotation bigs on the Jazz roster, Filipowski is the only one who fantasy managers can feel safe slotting into their lineups.

For Cleveland, this trade is about freeing up salary cap space. And with the team acquiring James Harden, Keon Ellis and Dennis Schröder this week, there was not going to be room for Ball in the rotation. Given Utah’s youth and the presence of Keyonte George and Isaiah Collier on the roster, it’s unsurprising that the Jazz are expected to waive Ball, which would allow him to be an unrestricted free agent.

Collier was in the Jazz starting lineup for Tuesday’s game, as Keyonte George was ruled out. The second-year guard took advantage of his opportunity, racking up a career-high 22 assists while committing just two turnovers. Collier doesn’t offer the best value as a scorer, but managers looking for assists and steals should consider him for the “silly season.” And with Utah trading Walter Clayton Jr. on Tuesday as part of the Jaren Jackson Jr. deal, playing time should not be a concern for Collier after the All-Star break.

While Jusuf Nurkić was made available for Tuesday’s game, he never played. While that was an infuriating development for those who have the veteran center rostered, that was good news for those who have Filipowski. The second-year forward/center recorded a double-double, with the 16 rebounds being two shy of his career-high. Even with the Jazz adding Jaren Jackson Jr. via trade, the clear focus for the rest of the season is to do what they can to hold onto their top-8 protected lottery pick. That means playing time should not be a concern for Filipowski, especially after the All-Star break.

Since New Year’s Day, Sensabaugh has scored at least 20 points in eight games. He hasn’t been the best option for managers competing in category leagues, but the third-year wing is worth the list for those competing in points leagues. Sensabaugh is worth adding now because it may be tougher to get him after the trade deadline.

On a day when the Jazz added Jaren Jackson Jr. to the fold, Markkanen provided a reminder of what the rebuilding team already has. The Jazz forward was efficient on offense, doing his damage in 27 minutes on a night when Utah only played seven players. The concern for fantasy managers is Markkanen’s availability after the trade deadline. Using his last few games to entertain sell-high possibilities would be a good idea.

Cleveland’s “Core Four” is no more, as the team has reportedly moved Garland to the Clippers. While he does have an All-Star Game appearance to his credit, foot injuries have been an issue for Garland the last two seasons. A left big toe injury limited him late last season, and he’s currently out with a right big toe injury. During his final practice as a Cavalier on Tuesday, Garland was limited to individual work, so fantasy managers will likely have to wait for the point guard to make his Clippers’ debut. In the meantime, Kris Dunn and Kobe Sanders have higher fantasy ceilings.

Due to injuries and the eight-player trade the Jazz completed with the Grizzlies earlier Tuesday, Utah will be shorthanded against the Pacers. This deal is likely not the last one for either side, as the Jazz will pick up more frontcourt depth, and the Grizzlies may look to blow things up and move on from JJJ and Ja Morant. We’ll have to wait for the dust to settle, but for now, Jackson Jr.'s scoring and rebounding may take a hit, as he’ll no longer be the top offensive weapon. Miller had some strong scoring nights in January and got even hotter to kick off February. Not only did he surpass 20 points for the second time in 24 hours, but he was insanely efficient about doing it. This was his fourth time scoring at least 17 points this season, and he nearly matched his season high of 20, which he set in early January. Win or lose, Leonard continues to produce at a high level consistently. His 29 points were his most in a game since he missed three games with a knee injury, and this came on the second night of a back-to-back, which would have been unheard of for Leonard just two years ago. This was just Miller’s third game all season with 20 points, but there should be more to come for the 26-year-old shooting guard. Dunn’s fantasy impact this season, and for the last few seasons, has been strictly wrapped up in steals. More problematic than the 3-of-8 shooting from the field were the five turnovers, as The Beard has been responsible for 18 over his last three games.
