Markkanen will miss an eighth straight game, and there’s no telling when he’ll make his return. Jaden Springer is also dealing with a back issue, so he’ll sit this one out as well. The Jazz are sitting most of their starters and a number of key role players in a matchup with Philadelphia that could do down as one of the most star-studded events of the season. Brice Sensabaugh and Johnny Juzang should see increased playing time for as long as Markkanen is out.

Kessler grabbed a career-best 25 rebounds in Friday’s loss to Toronto, but the tanking Jazz will keep him on the sideline against an equally tanky Sixers squad. With Collins still nursing a back injury, Utah could employ KJ Martin and Kyle Filipowski as the starting frontcourt, as they did the last two games in which both Kessler and Collins were out.

The Timberwolves reserves outscored their Heat counterparts by a 37-35 margin, with DiVincenzo and Nickeil Alexander-Walker (12 points, two rebounds, one steal, two blocks and three three-pointers) leading the way. Since returning from his toe injury, DiVincenzo has provided top-30 value in nine-cat formats. Whether he starts or comes off the bench, the Timberwolves guard will provide reliable fantasy value. He should be rostered in more than 72 percent of Yahoo! leagues, even with the Timberwolves only playing three games during Week 19.

No singular Timberwolves player stood out offensively on Friday, as seven players scored between 12 and 15 points. However, Reid continues to provide solid value with Rudy Gobert (back) out of the lineup. Since February 13 (Gobert last played on February 12), Reid has averaged 18.1 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 0.7 steals, 1.3 blocks and 2.7 three-pointers per game. Despite shooting just 40.4 percent from the field, Reid has provided fourth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats.

Randle finished Friday’s win one assist shy of a triple-double, which would have been his first as a Timberwolves player. He was one of seven players to score between 12 and 15 points, as the balanced offensive effort was enough to get Minnesota its third straight road victory. Since returning to the lineup on March 2, Randle has been a sixth-round player in eight-cat formats (eighth-round in nine-cat). He’ll look to end Week 18 on a high when the Timberwolves host the Spurs on Sunday.

Edwards did not look like himself for most of Friday’s game and was even late to the court for the third quarter. Following the win, Timberwolves coach Chris Finch said his star guard was dealing with an illness, hence his not starting the second half. Edwards didn’t offer much value offensively, with eight of his 10 shots coming from beyond the arc, but he did contribute 13 rebounds and six assists. Hopefully, he’ll be good for Sunday’s home game against the Spurs.

With Walker Kessler in the starting lineup, Filipowski was used in a reserve role Friday night. The good news for fantasy managers is that the change did not prohibit him from providing solid fantasy value. Filipowski shot 70 percent from the field and grabbed five rebounds, and the two steals were a nice bonus for those who have him in their lineups. Rostered in 32 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he’s worth holding onto for the rest of the season.

George didn’t have a great night shooting the basketball, going 4-of-14 from the field, but fantasy managers were likely pleased with the rebounds and assists. While the Jazz have limited the minutes of their key veterans as the season winds down, George doesn’t qualify. As a result, he’s still playing over 30 minutes per game despite coming off the bench. Unfortunately, poor shooting and limited defensive production continue to weigh down his fantasy value.

Kessler was fantastic on Friday, establishing new career highs in rebounds and blocked shots. The 7-foot-1 center accounted for 18 rebounds and three blocks in the first half alone. While the Raptors did more to keep Kessler off the glass after halftime, he still blocked another five shots. Only Dikembe Mutombo and Ben Wallace have corralled more rebounds in a game as a Raptors opponent than Kessler, who has been a top-10 player in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks.

The availability of the Jazz veterans has been frustrating for fantasy managers, as it has wreaked havoc on rosters at this point in the season. Sexton was available Friday night but only played 24 minutes, as Isaiah Collier (six points, three rebounds, and six assists) and Keyonte George remain the Jazz’s priorities. While he certainly can’t be dropped, Sexton’s playing time could frustrate some fantasy managers as the regular season concludes.

Most of NAW’s big nights as a scorer have come when he is starting, but he was able to provide buckets as a reserve on Tuesday. This was Alexander-Walker’s third 20-point game off the bench this season, with two of those coming since the All-Star break. McDaniels has finally enjoyed a breakout statistical season in Minnesota, and he has turned into a fantasy star over the past two months. He ranks inside the top 25 in nine-cat value during that stretch, and the main recent for his improvement has been that he is finally contributing defense stats. Averaging just over 30 minutes per game for the season, he’s played 26 and 28 minutes in his last two appearances. It’s one thing for a shooter like DiVincenzo to provide excellent value in the three-point category. Not only did he hit eight triples on Sunday, but the “Big Ragu” was credited with a career-high six steals.
