With Rudy Gobert (hip) out, Beringer was going to play rotation minutes on Saturday. Then the Timberwolves lost Naz Reid to a shoulder injury during the first quarter. While the Timberwolves went small at times, there were also more minutes available to the rookie from France. Beringer finished with a nice stat line, grabbing a season-high eight boards while scoring in double figures for the second time. While his value in redraft leagues will be limited due to the players ahead of him in the rotation, Beringer is an intriguing piece for dynasty league managers.

With Saturday’s performance, Randle is up to 13 double-doubles, one shy of his tally for the entire 2024-25 season. He appears to be in a better space than he was for most of his first season in Minnesota, and the stats bear that out. Randle didn’t shoot well from the field, but he was perfect at the foul line and posted a solid overall stat line.

McDaniels finished Saturday’s defeat with his tenth game with at least 20 points and a complete stat line. Due to the Timberwolves’ scoring options, the talented wing defender tends to take a back seat on offense. That wasn’t the case against the Spurs, and he made the most of his opportunities. Rostered in 46 percent of Yahoo! leagues, McDaniels has been a top-50 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks.

After a two-game absence, Edwards put on a show in San Antonio, especially during the fourth quarter. He scored 30 points in the final frame, nearly dragging the Timberwolves to a win after trailing by as much as 25. Edwards’ 55 is a career-high, and he did so on excellent percentages. Minnesota having three games on its Week 14 schedule is good news for Edwards, given the lingering foot issue.

Reid, who was starting for the injured Rudy Gobert, left Saturday’s game during the first quarter with a sore left shoulder. He only played five minutes before being ruled out at the start of the third quarter. Rookie Joan Beringer started the third in Reid’s place, and he’s going to get valuable in-game experience facing Victor Wembanyama.

The Timberwolves won’t have Rudy Gobert for Saturday’s game, as he’s out with a hip injury. He’s replaced in the lineup by Reid. While this is a clear upgrade offensively, the Timberwolves’ defense takes a significant hit. Also, Edwards’ return means that Mike Conley will come off the bench.

A double-figure scorer in three straight games, Bailey’s performance on Saturday was his best since returning from a hip injury. Of course, category league managers would like to see some defensive production from the rookie, but shooting 50 percent from the field and grabbing eight rebounds was a step in the right direction. The Jazz open a four-game Week 14 on Monday against the Spurs.

Given how ball-dominant Utah’s young guards are, Filipowski will need to do more in other areas to offer consistent fantasy value. That was the case on Saturday, as he recorded his third double-double of the season and dished out five assists. Filipowski should be a silly season standout in Utah, and the time is now to add him, given how the Jazz have handled Lauri Markkanen and Jusuf Nurkić recently.

After an underwhelming first half, George put on an offensive clinic during the third quarter. Shooting a perfect 7-of-7 from the field, the Jazz guard scored 21 points in the third quarter. Isaiah Collier (9/1/4/1 with one three-pointer) and Walter Clayton Jr. (5/3/8) will also play their fair share of the minutes on the perimeter, but George’s playing time should not be an issue later this season.

Well, Sensabaugh hasn’t cooled off yet. After totaling 70 points in games on Wednesday and Thursday, the Jazz forward dropped in 25 more against the Mavericks. Just as encouraging as the output has been the efficiency, as Sensabaugh has shot 50 percent or better in all three games. Whether he starts or comes off the bench, Sensabaugh should be a silly season standout for the Jazz. He’s worth adding now, especially with the Jazz playing four games in Week 14.

Gobert added another double-double to his season total and was able to make a big impact on the defensive end. However, it was an abysmal night for him from the free throw line. Both teams struggled in that department; Minnesota shot 20-of-35 on free throws, while Houston shot 20-of-34. The struggles seemed to be contagious, but nobody got hit harder than Gobert. Still, managers aren’t relying on Gobert for help in that category, and he was able to contribute in enough other areas to make up for it.

Reid returned to the bench with Rudy Gobert back after serving a one-game suspension, but that didn’t slow down his scoring. This was his third 20-point double-double of the season, and over his last four games, Reid is averaging 21.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.0 steal, 1.0 block and 3.8 triples per game. This was one of his best performances of the season, and he’ll look to stay hot in San Antonio on Saturday.

With Anthony Edwards (foot) out for a second straight game, Randle stepped up as the primary scorer in his place. He set a new season high for scoring, but it wasn’t enough for Minnesota to walk away with a win. Still, Randle has scored 68 points over their last two games with Edwards unavailable, and he should continue to be a focal point of the offense as long as Edwards is out. Next up on the schedule is a matchup with the Spurs on Saturday.

For the fourth time this season, Collier reached double digits in assists during Thursday’s defeat. The double-double was his fourth, but the few fantasy managers who roster Collier aren’t usually looking for points. He and Walter Clayton Jr. (15/2/8/1 with one three-pointer) played at least 29 minutes in Dallas, and that’s possible due to head coach Will Hardy’s willingness to play multiple point guards at the same time. If that continues, that’s good news for Collier, Clayton and Keyonte George.

Making his second start since returning from a hip injury, Bailey recorded a complete stat line in Thursday’s defeat. Rostered in 15 percent of Yahoo! leagues, the rookie’s fantasy value remains low. However, if fantasy managers can take the hit of Bailey’s inefficient shooting, he’s someone who will have every opportunity to change that during the second half of the season.

At this point in the season, the Jazz have already begun to give fantasy managers a preview of who stands to be most valuable during the “silly season.” George is already rostered in 85 percent of Yahoo! leagues, so he clearly isn’t a player who can be stashed. However, given his youth, the third-year point guard does not appear to be a player at risk of a late-season shutdown.

One night removed from dropping 43 points in a loss to the Bulls, Sensabaugh scored another 27 on Thursday. Despite coming off the bench, the third-year wing has been an efficient scorer, shooting 25-of-37 from the field. Whether he starts or comes off the bench, Sensabaugh has serious “silly season standout” potential with the Jazz clearly prioritizing their draft lottery odds.

Friday’s game will be Edwards’ second on the sidelines as he sits due to right foot injury maintenance. Mike Conley moved into the starting lineup and should retain that role, but Edwards’ absence also enhances Bones Hyland’s value. If fantasy managers are seeking a streaming option, Hyland is the superior choice.

Nurkić was a surprise DNP on Wednesday despite having played 30 minutes on Monday. He had previously missed two games with a toe injury, but the Jazz are alternating giving players days off as they try not to win too many games. With Lauri Markkanen (illness) out again on Thursday, there’s a good chance that Nurkić could return to the starting lineup, which would cut into Kyle Filipowski’s minutes.

Filipowski was one of four Jazz players to score in double figures on Wednesday, with his nine-point third quarter giving him nearly half of his scoring total, while his seven rebounds for the game tied a team-high. George had a strong performance on Wednesday, hitting the 25-point mark for the 22nd time this season and falling one assist shy of a double-double. He continues to struggle with his three-point shot, however, which is one of the very few things that haven’t worked in his favor during his career-best season. Nonetheless, George remains one of the most improved players in the NBA this season and has been a productive guard across fantasy basketball leagues.

Sensabaugh was sensational against the Bulls on Wednesday, draining five three-pointers en route to the first 40-point game of his career. His night started quickly, scoring 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting in the first quarter alone. He then scored 11 more points over the next two periods before doubling that amount in the fourth to nearly lead the Jazz to victory. Sensabaugh has now scored 25 or more points in two of his last three appearances. He’ll have a chance to log another productive outing on Thursday against the Mavericks.

Lauri Markkanenis unavailable for the Jazz, while Jusuf Nurkić is available off the bench. The good news is that Ace Bailey is back in the starting lineup for the first time since December 26. With Anthony Edwards (foot) sidelined, Hyland played 21 minutes off the bench, played aggressively and dropped a season-high 23 points.
