Initially questionable for Friday’s game with a calf contusion, Holmgren is officially available. The Thunder will stick with their usual starting lineup against the Hawks.

Clarkson has missed three of his team’s previous five games and was an abysmal 1-for-14 from the field in his latest outing. Keyonte George will likely get a chance to step into a starting role again if Clarkson can’t go.

Markkanen is set to miss his third straight contest ahead of the weekend. Brice Sensabaugh has a clear path to start for the Jazz against the Timberwolves.

Holmgren is a little banged up with a calf contusion after putting together his best performance since he returned from injury against the Nets. Cason Wallace or Aaron Wiggins could fill in for Holmgren against Atlanta.

Collins has missed Utah’s last three games, but he could be back on Friday. The Jazz hold the rights to Minnesota’s first-round pick this summer, so they may want their best lineup available for this game even if they’re shifting towards tank mode. Collins’ return would push KJ Martin back to a reserve role.

Sexton, who has been out since February 3, has a chance to return to the lineup to take on Minnesota, who will be sending their first-round pick to Utah this summer. Sexton’s return will create a logjam in the backcourt, with Isaiah Collier, Jordan Clarkson and Keyonte George all competing for minutes.

Markkanen has missed Utah’s last two games but could be back against Minnesota. The Timberwolves’ first-round pick will go to the Jazz, which may be a factor in Utah making their veterans potentially available. Brice Sensabaugh will return to a bench role if Markkanen is back.

With Oklahoma City holding a sizeable lead in the standings over the rest of the West, Caruso will get a night off. Cason Wallace, Aaron Wiggins and Isaiah Joe should all divvy up Caruso’s minutes. They have a back-to-back on Sunday and Monday, so Caruso should be well-rested for that.

Wednesday’s performance was one of the worst of Clarkson’s career. He missed his first 13 shot attempts before making a layup with 1:09 remaining, and the outcome was no longer in doubt. As one would expect, the Delta Center crowd cheered the achievement. However, on a serious note, Clarkson is in a tough spot. Due to the inconsistent availability, as improving its draft lottery odds and developing its young talent appear to be the front office’s priorities, Clarkson hasn’t been able to get into a flow regarding his play in games. And that has negatively impacted his fantasy value, which was already low. Fantasy managers are better off with Isaiah Collier, who’s rostered in 39 percent of Yahoo! leagues and finished Wednesday’s loss with nine points, three rebounds, seven assists, two steals and two three-pointers in 26 minutes.

Kessler nearly made history on Wednesday, finishing one rebound shy of a 25/15/5 line on 100 percent shooting. Only one player in NBA history has achieved that feat: Wilt Chamberlain, and he did it on six occasions during his illustrious career. That says a lot when you can be in the same sentence as Wilt, as Kessler nearly was. As for his fantasy value for the rest of the season, that concerns fantasy managers. And it isn’t the production. It’s the availability. The Jazz have already started resting key players, including Kessler, and there’s no reason why they’d stop doing that now, especially with the loaded 2025 draft class. For that reason, Wednesday’s performance may be a good time to “sell high” on Kessler.

Wiggins has been on a roll over the past month, emerging as a player worth adding in deep leagues. A double-digit scorer in 12 straight games, the Thunder wing has been a third-round player in nine-cat formats since February 1. Wiggins is rostered in 23 percent of Yahoo! leagues, and he’s worth a roll of the dice in deep leagues while this run continues.

Williams ended a streak of five games in which he shot below 50 percent from the field on Wednesday, hitting that percentage in a win over the Nets. However, the field goal percentage hasn’t done much harm to his value, as J-Dub has provided fourth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. Williams remains a third-round player for the season, and it would be unsurprising if he cracked the top 25 by the end of the season. Oklahoma City finishes Week 17 and its current road trip with games against the Hawks (Friday) and Spurs (Sunday).

Gilgeous-Alexander has been so dominant this season that it’s nearly an achievement to hold him under 30 points. The Nets managed to do that on Wednesday, as he only attempted 11 shots from the field. However, SGA was 12-of-13 from the foul line, boosting the final point tally. Gilgeous-Alexander has “only” been a top-10 player since the trade deadline, indicating what fantasy managers have come to expect from him in recent seasons.

Back in the lineup after sitting out Monday’s overtime loss to the Timberwolves, Holmgren was sensational in Brooklyn. Not only were the 17 rebounds a season-high, but that’s the most he’s had in his NBA career. Add in the points, assists and defensive stats, and fantasy managers benefitted greatly from Holmgren’s robust stat line. Since returning from his fractured hip on February 7, Chet has provided top-20 value in nine-cat formats. The only concern is back-to-backs, as he hasn’t reached the point where the Thunder will let him play both ends. Given how far ahead of the pack Oklahoma City is in the West, there’s no need to push things in that regard.

Clarkson and Kessler return to the Jazz lineup, with the former returning from a two-game absence. Their returns mean Johnny Juzang and Kyle Filipowski will come off the bench, but fantasy managers who have the latter rostered should hold onto him. Due to the unpredictable nature of Utah’s lineups, Filipowski will play plenty as the season winds down.

Initially ruled out on Tuesday, Kessler has been upgraded to available and should see his typical workload against Sacramento. He’ll return following a one-game absence.
