One game removed from scoring a season-high 33 points, Avdija finished one assist shy of his first triple-double of the season. He’s been everything that fantasy managers hoped he would be when the season began, closing in on top-50 value in nine-cat formats while being ranked well within that threshold in eight-cat. If there’s been an issue for Avdija, it’s been turnovers, as he’s averaging 3.9 per game. He only recorded three on Wednesday, however.

Holiday is providing top-50 fantasy value in nine-cat formats, bouncing back from a disappointing 2024-25 campaign.

Markkanen continues to score a decent amount of points despite struggling with his three-point shot this year. The 28-year-old power forward has shot above 36.4 percent from behind the three-point line in two of eight games so far this year. In one of those games, Markkanen managed to drop 51 points in an overtime victory over the Suns. He’s a career 37.1 percent three-point shooter and shot 37.3 percent from three-point range last year so his shooting should get better soon.

Wesley underwent surgery on Wednesday to repair the fractured fifth metatarsal in his right foot. He’s expected to be available to return in 8-12 weeks. His absence does not impact fantasy basketball, but the Trail Blazers are light on options behind Jrue Holiday, especially with Scoot Henderson (hamstring) out. Kessler is set to undergo season-ending surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder. This is a massive blow for the Jazz, who have started the season out better than expected, but it’s also unfortunate for Kessler since he didn’t get an extension this summer. Jusuf Nurkic has been starting in place of Kessler, but it wouldn’t be surprising if they turned to Kyle Filipowski as a long-term replacement, assuming they don’t explore the trade market.

Grant was pushed to a reserve role this season for Portland, but that hasn’t limited his fantasy impact. In fact, he is having one of the best seasons of his career. He is shooting over 50 percent from the floor, which would be the best mark of his career and a huge step up after he shot 37.3 percent last season. He is also averaging a career-high for steals and three-pointers while scoring over 20 points per game. If Grant is content remaining a reserve, he can continue to thrive.

Despite dealing with calf soreness entering this game, Sharpe was able to start and set a new season-high for scoring. It has been a slow start to the year for Sharpe, but he is starting to figure things out; after shooting below 40 percent in each of his first four games, Sharpe has shot better than 40 percent in his last three. He’ll look to keep it going against the Thunder on Wednesday.

This was a strong performance for Avdija as he set a new season-high for scoring. He has gotten off to a strong start to the year, which was expected after how well he played late last season. Nurkić remained in the starting lineup in place of Walker Kessler (shoulder) for a second straight game, and Kessler is set to miss at least two more games. George has been excellent to start this season, and that continued against Boston as he set a new season-high for scoring. He wasn’t able to dish out as many assists as he has in every other game this season, but he made up for it with a season-low for turnovers and his best field goal percentage of the season. Jazz coach Will Hardy was noncommittal about playing Collier before the game, and he didn’t end up checking in at all. Hendricks got his first start of the season and ended up being one of Utah’s most productive players. The third-year forward was one of three Jazz players to score in double figures on Sunday, and he was the only starter to shoot at least 50.0 percent from the field. Hendricks also attacked the offensive glass hard in his 25 minutes and made contributions from beyond the arc. He performed well in his first start and could be a name to highlight and remember for later in the fantasy season.

George’s hot start to the season continued on Sunday, as he scored at least 25 points for the third time this season and notched at least seven assists for the sixth time. The third-year guard also logged one of his more efficient shooting performances of the season, despite remaining cold from beyond the arc. The three-point shot continues to be one of the few negatives on the season for George, but if he can even land the mediocre efficiency that he produced over the first two seasons of his career, he’ll become even more valuable in fantasy leagues.

Markannen’s four-game streak of at least 30 points came to an end on Sunday, with inefficient shooting from deep and low volume from the free-throw line being some of the biggest factors. Sunday’s outing also marked his lowest field goal percentage of the young season. Still, the veteran forward logged a team-high in points and was one of two players to record more than 20 points. Neither player’s production has jumped off the page from a fantasy basketball standpoint yet this season, but with starters’ minutes, they could be interesting streaming options as the Jazz look to snap a two-game losing streak. Making his first official appearance for the Jazz, Anderson logged 25 minutes. Given Utah’s youth, that was surprising to say the least. Anderson’s playing time came at the expense of Kyle Filipowski (two points, two rebounds and one assist in 10 minutes), who played the first eight minutes and did not return until the outcome was no longer in doubt. The minutes split was an eye-opening development given Filipowski’s ceiling, especially when compared to Anderson’s. With Isaiah Collier (hamstring) having recently been cleared for full on-court participation, it’s only a matter of time until he’s recalled from the G League. However, George has played well enough to retain the starting point guard job, even with Friday’s cold shooting night against the Suns. He was active on the boards and dished out nine assists while committing three turnovers. Despite averaging four turnovers per game, George provides top-50 value in nine-cat formats. While Kessler did his usual work on the glass Friday night, his offensive production was underwhelming. He’s had two offensive duds, the first being a three-point effort against the Kings on October 24. The good news is that Kessler scored 18 or more in his other three outings, taking tangible steps forward on that end of the floor. While he didn’t provide any defensive production on Friday, fantasy managers don’t roster Markkanen for that reason. Is Kessler going through a Brook Lopez-like transformation right before our eyes? Probably not, but the increased confidence in his perimeter shot has been great to see. On Wednesday, Kessler shot 3-of-4 from beyond the arc and is 6-of-8 on the season. In 2024-25, he shot 6-of-34 from deep and entered this season 11-of-56. While Avdija’s final stat line was solid, there were issues. He missed all five of his three-point attempts, but the six turnovers were more concerning, especially for managers in nine-cat leagues. Thus far, Avdija’s averaging 3.8 turnovers per game, which is why he’s only a top-75 player currently. However, punt the turnovers and he’s providing top-50 value. Based on his hot start, fantasy managers who decided to pass on Markkanen in drafts due to late-season tanking concerns may regret their choices. He’s scored 30 points or more in three straight games, a feat he did not accomplish during the 2024-25 season. Wednesday’s final stat line was robust, with the 32 points being supplemented by five rebounds and six “stocks.” Through four games, Markkanen is providing top-10 fantasy value, which may prompt some managers to entertain the possibility of selling high.
