Coulibaly has missed Washington’s last four games, but there is a chance he returns to take on Brooklyn. Tre Johnson has been starting since Coulibaly went down, and he could be pushed back to a reserve role if Coulibaly returns, though Khris Middleton is also a candidate to come off the bench. There is also a chance Coulibaly doesn’t start, though that hasn’t happened since he was a rookie.

Marshall can have big games when the Mavericks are missing starters as we saw last year. It was the same story on Friday against the Clippers as the 27-year-old forward filled in for P.J. Russell played 39 minutes, which is the most he’s played in a game this year, in the Mavericks’ double overtime loss to the Clippers on Friday. The 29-year-old point guard’s 28-point performance seeming came out of nowhere. Russell hadn’t scored more than 10 points in his last six games and his three-point shooting has been terrible recently. He’s 2-for-21 from behind the three-point line over his last four games including Friday night. Not much has changed for Russell despite the big minutes and point totals in a double overtime game. He also had seven turnovers to go with five assists.

No surprise here as Davis is set to miss his eighth consecutive game with a calf injury. The 32-year-old power forward is progressing in his recovery and participated in on-court work on Thursday, signaling that a return isn’t far off. Flagg had a well-rounded performance against the Suns. He found production on the glass and made plays for others through his passing, while tallying five stocks on the defensive end. His scoring was also notable, despite his struggles from the field. Regardless, he showed how versatile he can be on both ends of the floor, and continues to be one of the Mavericks’ bright spots in what’s been a rough start to the season.

Gafford had one of his more productive games of the season against the Suns, logging a season-high in rebounds while tying a season-high in points. He contributed on the defensive end with a few stocks and registered an efficient shooting performance after having shot 2-of-8 from the floor on Monday. While George didn’t produce the best field-goal percentage on Wednesday, fantasy managers will undoubtedly take the rebounds, assists and steals. The nine assists were a career-high for the second-year wing, who is ranked just outside the top-50 in eight-cat formats. Sarr came up big for Washington in this game and was able to turn in a strong line across the board. Overall this season, his rebounding has been improved, but the last two games have been rough in that department; he matched his season-low for boards in this one. Unsurprisingly, Sarr struggled on the glass against Cleveland’s tandem of Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. However, the second-year center shot over 50 percent from the field and recorded four blocks, continuing to make strides on both ends of the floor. Having shot 3-of-19 from the field and 1-of-10 from three in his two previous games, McCollum was looking to snap out of that funk. Mission accomplished, as he shot 50 percent from the field and led the Wizards in scoring. Thirteen of his 16 shot attempts were from beyond the arc, and he has a three-point attempt rate of nearly 55 percent through nine games. With Bilal Coulibaly unavailable due to injury, Johnson made his first career start on Friday. While he certainly would have preferred to do so in a win, the rookie guard had a good night on the offensive end of the floor.
