Bagley’s status is more impactful, as he serves as Alex Sarr’s backup while Johnson is not in the Wizards’ rotation on most nights. Middleton is one of three Wizards players listed as questionable for Thursday’s game due to illness. However, he’s the only one who’s a lock to start if available. Who would replace Middleton in the lineup may depend on Bilal Coulibaly, who’s questionable with a lower back strain. If Coulibaly can play after a three-game absence, the Wizards could go small and keep Bub Carrington in the starting five.

Collins is averaging 5.0 rebounds on the season, but he had none in 24 minutes against the Bulls on Tuesday. The 28-year-old power forward’s line lacked meaningful contribution in every category but points and three-pointers. It was a down game for Collins, who has provided second-round per game value over the last two weeks. The Clippers will play the Lakers and Nets at home later this week.

Harden entered play with at least 31 points in three of his last four games. Scoring didn’t come as easily for the 36-year-old point guard on Tuesday. Harden was hardly efficient against the Bulls with 24 points on 25 field goal attempts. He had just three made free throws after having made at least seven free throws in seven consecutive games entering play Tuesday. Harden will continue to be the leading man for the Clippers with Kawhi Leonard (knee) out, which raises his fantasy ceiling. He’s provided 13th-overall per game value over the last two weeks. The Clippers return home on Thursday to play the Lakers.

Christie was initially listed as questionable with abdominal soreness, but he’s ultimately available for Tuesday’s game against the Bulls. The 20-year-old guard recently drew praise from coach Ty Lue for his “elite defense.” Christie should continue to play a minimal role off the bench and thus isn’t worth rostering in most fantasy leagues.

While his fantasy value has remained relatively low, Johnson’s status as a starter gives him some appeal during the “silly season.” The rookie guard shot 3-of-6 from three and did not commit a turnover in Monday’s defeat. Johnson isn’t a must-add right now, but it won’t be long until targeting him will be a worthwhile endeavor for fantasy managers.

Due to Trae Young’s continued absence, Carrington’s opportunities have not been an issue for fantasy managers. And that may make him worth the risk ahead of the “silly season.” A 39 percent shooter from the field over the past week, Carrington was considerably better than that on Monday. Add in the rebounds and assists, and Monday’s performance was a good one for the second-year guard.

George had an opportunity to give the Wizards a one-point lead late, but his three-point attempt fell short. That summed up the day for the second-year wing, who struggled with his shot and racked up six turnovers. Performances this inefficient have not been the norm for George this season, so fantasy managers should not be too concerned.

Five days removed from getting ejected during the first quarter of a loss to the Clippers, Sarr hung around throughout Monday’s rematch. For the first time in two weeks, Zubac has recorded double-doubles in consecutive games. The Clippers’ center was responsible for five turnovers, but many post players struggle with that category. Since returning from a sprained ankle, Zubac has hit double digits in rebounds in five of the eight games he’s played. If he’s held out of Tuesday’s game against the Bulls, Brook Lopez (six points, four steals and one blocked shot) would be the next man up.

The Clippers won’t have Kawhi Leonard for the end of their road trip, opening up additional opportunities for the team’s supporting cast. While Kobe Sanders (8/3/1 with two three-pointers) made the start, Miller was more productive off the bench. However, both have shown at various points this season that they’re capable contributors.

Harden didn’t have it from beyond the arc on Monday, as he missed all five of his attempts. However, he shot 75 percent from two and wore a beaten path to the foul line, attempting 20 free throws. With Kawhi Leonard (knee) out, even more of the offensive responsibilities fall on Harden’s shoulders. And he’s capable of taking over, as he did during Monday’s victory. The Clippers visit the Bulls on Tuesday in the final game of their road trip.

Middleton was back in the Wizards’ lineup after sitting out Friday’s loss to the Kings, pushing Justin Champagnie (13/9/1/3 in 26 minutes) to the bench. Middleton was productive in his 27 minutes, but the few who have him rostered should be hoping to see him traded before the February 5 deadline. The good is that Sarr shot the ball well from the field and was active on the glass. The bad was that he had a brutal night at the foul line and did not record any steals or blocked shots. Saturday’s game was the best for George since returning from the hip injury that sidelined him for seven games. The 29 points were the most in a game for him since Washington’s second game of the season, and he was also effective setting up others. Carrington returned to the starting lineup for this game with Bilal Coulibaly (back) and Khris Middleton (knee) sidelined. He was able to bounce back after struggling in Wednesday’s loss where he shot 1-of-11. In this game, he was efficient as a shooter and nearly recorded his first double-double of the season. Carrington likely won’t remain in that role consistently, but he was able to have a productive night in an increased role. Sarr had a big first half for Washington and entered the break with 18 points. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to contribute much after halftime. Sarr has had a strong second season, and the first half was indicative of that. He didn’t do much else in the box score, but that hasn’t been the case for more of the year. Konan Niederhauser added another nice stat line in what’s been a solid rookie season thus far for him in limited action. He went perfect from the floor and had several highlight-worthy finishes at the rim throughout the game to tie a career-high in points. The rookie center also erased shots on the defensive end and showed off his athleticism. Harden struggled with his shooting efficiency against the Wizards, but utilized the free-throw line to finish as one of two Clippers with at least 20 points. The former league MVP also led the team in assists on the evening and protected the basketball fairly well in the process. Leonard wasn’t his usual efficient self on Wednesday, but still played well enough to extend his streak of 20-point games to 22 games and record a second consecutive 30-point outing in the process. The free-throw line was also a factor on this night, and as usual, the former two-time Defensive Player of the Year used his active hands to collect several steals. The Clippers have now won four straight games, and Leonard is playing at an All-Star level.
