Undrafted from Arizona in 2024, Johnson has been a part of the Heat’s bench for the last two seasons. The 24-year-old forward won the slam dunk contest, besting the Spurs’ Carter Bryant in the final round. Bryant earned the only 50 score of the night with a dunk that resembled Vince Carter’s iconic dunk in the 2000 slam dunk contest, but failed to complete a dunk on his next turn. Johnson won the competition with a windmill jam after taking off from a step inside the free throw line.

After putting up All-Star-level numbers with the Clippers last season, Powell was traded to the Heat ahead of the final year of his current contract. And the move east has been a successful one for the guard individually, going into the All-Star break with averages of 23.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.2 steals, and 2.9 three-pointers per game. That production was good enough to earn Powell his first All-Star nod, and he hopes to continue the relationship with the Heat for years to come. “Hopefully, there’s some good synergy from what they’ve seen that I bring to the table,” Powell said, according to the Miami Herald. “And hopefully a deal is able to be done sometime. But yeah, I see myself being here and being a part of the Heat organization for however long they’ll have me.” Having entered the season with a Yahoo! ADP of 86, Powell has offered top-50 fantasy value for most of the season. A lingering subplot for the Heat is Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future in Milwaukee, and the team is one of many that will have more resources at its disposal in the summer to make a move for the star forward if he becomes available.

Ware’s inconsistency has been maddening, as it’s landed him in Erik Spoelstra’s dog house on multiple occasions. However, after a poor showing in Monday’s loss to the Jazz, he got another opportunity to start on Wednesday. Give Ware credit for taking advantage of the opportunity, recording his second double-double in three games. While his season-long value remains high, Ware’s inconsistency lowers his ceiling. Hopefully, he’ll be able to go on a sustained run of good play after the All-Star break.

While he wasn’t the choice to fill the void left in the starting lineup by Andrew Wiggins, that didn’t prevent Jaquez from having another solid night at the office. And it was much needed, as the Heat wing totaled 13 points on 3-of-19 shooting against the Wizards and Jazz. Jaquez’s 23 points were the most in a game for him since a December 27 win over the Pacers in which he dropped 28. Add in the other categories, and this was an excellent night to have Jaquez rostered. Myron Gardner made the spot start in Wiggins’ absence, finishing with eight points, 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and two three-pointers in 23 minutes.

While his season-long value has not met the expectations of most fantasy managers, Adebayo goes into the All-Star break on a high note. He scored at least 20 points in 11 of his last 13 games, recording eight double-doubles. During this run, Adebayo was a third-round player in eight-cat formats, according to Basketball Monster. The Heat complete their Week 17 with two games after the All-Star break, starting with the Hawks on February 20.

Back in action for the first time since January 29, Johnson was limited to 18 minutes on Wednesday. While other Wizards have seen their playing time limited recently, one would assume that Johnson will play more after the All-Star break. That alone gives him “silly season standout” potential. A sneaky option who doesn’t need to be stashed is Jaden Hardy, who played 18 minutes in his Wizards debut and finished with 11 points, one rebound, one assist, and three three-pointers.

Coulibaly is one of the Wizards players fantasy managers will be watching his minutes as much, if not more, than his stat lines for the rest of the season. He shot the ball reasonably well against the Cavaliers, but was limited to 24 minutes. Justin Champagnie (12/4/2/2 with two three-pointers) came off the bench on Wednesday and also played 24 minutes. Coulibaly is most valuable to managers who need defensive production, but that doesn’t do them much good if his minutes are being cut for draft lottery reasons.

While George led the Wizards in scoring on Wednesday, he only played 24 minutes. And that may be the frustrating aspect of rostering him in fantasy leagues for the rest of this season. He doesn’t need much time to put up solid numbers, but the second-year wing has not exceeded 27 minutes in any of his last five appearances. Will Riley (4/4/2) shot a frigid 1-of-12 from the field but played 29 minutes. That may be the norm after the All-Star break.

With Andrew Wiggins (toe) sidelined for this game, Gardner will enter the starting unit for Miami. Gardner has been productive as a starter recently, averaging 12.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals across his last three starts. He should be able to contribute decent value in an increased role.

Richmond is in his first season of professional basketball after playing at Syracuse, Seton Hall and St. John’s in college. This was the second time in his last three games that Wiggins scored exactly 26 points, a number he has only surpassed on two other occasions this season. Champagnie has reached double figures in each of his last three appearances. While the playing time, 25 minutes on Sunday, wasn’t the best, he remains in the starting lineup. For that reason, Champagnie is worth the risk for managers seeking players with “silly season standout” potential. Jakučionis had the best game of his rookie season on Sunday, recording new highs in points and three-pointers. The 6-foot-6 guard shot 6-of-6 from beyond the arc and made 80 percent of his attempts from the field.
