George may not be an explosive scorer, but his ability to put up numbers in various categories makes him an excellent asset in category leagues. He recorded a complete line against the Knicks, including three steals and three three-pointers, while shooting over 50 percent from the field. Will George remain a third-round player in 12-team leagues for the entire season? We’ll see. But there’s no denying he has the skill set to be a high-value player in fantasy basketball.

Coulibaly has provided top-100 value in nine-cat formats through three games, exceeding his Yahoo! ADP of 143. Whether he can sustain this production level will depend on Coulibaly’s field-goal shooting. He’s making 42.7 percent of his attempts thus far, including a 3-of-10 night against the Magic on Saturday. Coulibaly’s rostered percentage has more than doubled since his season debut on October 30, and it may increase even more with the Wizards playing three more games during Week 3.

While he struggled to corral Karl-Anthony Towns defensively, that didn’t prevent Sarr from putting up a solid stat line. The only thing missing from his line was a three-pointer, but the second-year center has taken fewer of those shots thus far to excellent effect. Sarr is shooting 52.7 percent from the field, a significant reason why he’s providing third-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats. Based on his Yahoo! ADP of 83, many expected Sarr to be a top-100 player this season. He’s exceeded those expectations thus far.

Grimes had one of his best all-around games as a pro on Sunday, dishing out a career-high 13 assists while scoring efficiently. Despite coming off the bench, he’s providing fifth-round value in eight-cat formats, far exceeding the expectations of most fantasy managers. Grimes has benefited from the absences of Jared McCain and Paul George, so it’s fair to question his fantasy value once the 76ers are whole. However, they aren’t right now, so Grimes should be rostered in some 12-team leagues.

Maxey has scored at least 26 points in all six games he’s played this season, averaging 33.7 per game. While some believed the 76ers’ point guard was capable of providing first-round value in standard leagues, Maxey’s been even better than that. He goes into Week 3 providing top-5 value in eight- and nine-cat formats. With Joel Embiid’s playing time being managed and Paul George (knee) still out, the 76ers need Maxey to produce at an elite level. He’s been up to the task.

Oubre put on a show during the first quarter of Sunday’s game, scoring 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field. Cam Thomas was guarding him for most of that run, and Thomas has never been known for his defensive ability. Oubre was comparatively quiet for the rest of the night, but the damage had been done. The only negative was that he tweaked his ankle during the second half. While Oubre could have returned, there was no need to risk it with the 76ers up big. The “Tsunami Papi” continues to exceed expectations in fantasy basketball, providing top-50 value in nine-cat formats. The 76ers play four games during Week 3, and Oubre’s value will remain high for as long as Paul George and Jared McCain are out.

Sarr had a relatively quiet night on the offensive end of the floor, but the rebounds and blocks were useful. Through six games, the second-year center is shooting 53.4 percent from the field, a significant improvement on his 39.4 mark as a rookie. Sarr’s three-point attempts have decreased, and he’s been more accurate with the ones he’s taken. He’s shooting 42.9 percent on 2.8 attempts per game after making 30.8 percent of his 5.1 attempts per game as a rookie. Can Sarr maintain top-50 value for the entire season? We’ll see. McCollum shot the ball well on Thursday, making five of his eight three-point attempts. Unfortunately, he did not provide much value outside the points and three-pointers. Two nights removed from putting up 23 shots in an overtime loss to the 76ers, Sarr only took 11 shots against the Thunder. George has been on a roll to begin the season, much to the delight of those who believed he could break out in fantasy basketball. He’s scored 20 points or more in three of Washington’s first four games, except Sunday’s foul-plagued loss to the Hornets. Averaging 4.3 assists per game entering Tuesday, McCollum notched a season-high in that category against the 76ers. In 56 games for the Pelicans last season, the veteran guard recorded at least seven assists on eight occasions. Bub Carrington (10/5/5/1/1 with two three-pointers) runs the show, but McCollum has the ball in his hands plenty. While he hasn’t been as prolific a scorer as he was late last season, Grimes has reached double figures in all four games for the 76ers. Back in the lineup after sitting out Monday’s win over the Magic, Embiid was supposed to be on a limit of 20 minutes. He played 23 against the Wizards, and the production was solid in a case of good news for fantasy managers. Embiid grabbed his 5,000th career rebound during the overtime victory and was a steal shy of a complete stat line while shooting over 50 percent from the field. Sarr was rolling to start Tuesday’s game, finishing the first half with 20 points and seven rebounds. While the second-year pivot finished with his first career 30-point double-double, the production tailed off after halftime. That’s the next step for Sarr: being consistently dominant. He held his own against the 76ers’ post players, including Joel Embiid. While the Wizards won’t be pleased with letting a double-digit lead slip away, they have to be encouraged by what Sarr did. Maxey’s early-season hot streak continued in this one as he put the metaphorical exclamation point on Philadelphia’s impressive win by scoring on three consecutive possessions in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter to eclipse the 40-point plateau for the second time in three games to open the season. He poured in 22 first-half points, knocking down eight of his first 18 shots from the field and was even better down the home stretch to help Philadelphia hold off a late comeback effort by the Magic. Edgecombe continues to be extremely impressive from a shot creation standpoint as he’s taken full advantage of his opportunities to make something happen with the ball in his hands. He took just four three-pointers in this one but still came close to reaching the 30-point threshold for the second time in his first three games of his career. He was extremely efficient overall, shooting just under 59 percent from the field. One of the priority waiver wire adds during the opening week of the fantasy basketball season, Grimes saw expanded minutes with Joel Embiid (knee) and Paul George (knee) out.
